29 likeswhy does this even matter, sales are so boring, lana doesn't even need to promote and she does well anyway, her fan base is strong she isnt about gaining a large number of new listeners, her fan base is huge and devoted, even if every single pop star released on the same day as her, she is still going to have a huge number of streams because of her dedicated fan base, i dont understand why its so important that she goes number 1, i dont know how much more clear she can make it that she simply does not give a flying fuck about her sales and neither should you

25 likesShe definitely sounded a little uncertain about it in multiple parts of her Mojo interview. “She says she finds listening to the new album ‘a fight’, conceding that she’s offering a pre-emptive critique. ‘It wasn’t so much that I though the songs fantastically fit together with like seamless, sun kissed production -- but, you know, there’s a life lived there.” Also the way she spoke about her vocals in White Dress. But, as the magazine stated right after, and Lana agreed with, the ‘not great’ vocals on the chorus absolutely fit the tone and message of the song. It just seems she’s nervous about the content of the record, and the way it will be received after the widespread success and ease of Norman. It’s her easiest album to get into, and provided a taste of that success and praise she didn’t get before. Though, she said in the interview that she felt people were into the record, not necessarily into her as an artist. The Mojo article gives great insight to the assumed nervousness/paranoia she has after years of being discredited and mocked publicly. Understanding how that’s affected her self-perception (idk if it has, but I think it would) and her art is important to understanding her as an artist and human. I do hope that one day she won’t feel like she has to bring it up during interviews, because to some extent it keeps it alive and fresh into each era, among other things. Based on what we know and what the interviews show us, Chemtrails is going to be an emotional stunner, raw and unexpected, the same way UV was after BTD. Seriously cannot wait!! March 19th please get here quickly

23 likesAnyone else getting that lovely warm and nostalgic feeling just before spring starts, and you feel your energy start to shift and perspective starts to change and there's just an overall positive and lightness in the air around you, it's like your body preparing for the summer, feels like a perfect time, and its so nice that we're almost getting a new Lana album. Spring is the perfect time for her to release, especially March

21 likesI'm here now! I missed all the craziness of White Dress not being released and it seems like the aftermath of that has settled down, so I'll just say YAY to there only being 21 days left until the whole album is released, and probably a week or two until White Dress! I could totally see her putting the single out on the 5th or 12th, and then maybe the video during the week of March 15th-19th! Either way, everything is coming soon so "look how [we] got this " - let's just keep trudging on! <3

21 likesThe annoying thing is you can't trust ANY dates when it comes to Lana: 1. Dates that she announces are often lies (see: September 5 for COCC, covers album for Christmas) 2. Dates from other sites/sources are often wrong because she delays and changes stuff Basically we can't trust anything ever, from any source including her, and it's tiresome. Zzzzzz

20 likesThat's not true either. UV was actually the toughest time to be a Lana stan, up there with the NFR! pre-release. Homegirl had the worst attitude 24/7, cancelling stuff left and right. Interviews were disturbing/boring/chaotic/uncomfortable to read. "May 1st" caused a lot of (unnecessary bc it came out one month later) meltdowns. I'd dare to say 60% were in doubt/against the new sound. I remember a lot of people hating Shades of Cool upon release. Title track to, nobody liked it when it came out. "I wish I was dead already" interview; lots of fans already "sick" of her calling her pretentious or whatever. Ultraviolence music video... Hard time to be a stan. Abandonment of the era. Everyone started to complain about her lack of glamour, high fashion, no longer having a "beauty queen style", etc.

19 likesLOL, not exactly directed to you, but why does everyone have some kind of Mandela effect on the Honeymoon era? Those few months were full of meltdowns. First the title track, lots of people hated it. Everyone was trashing her hair, outfits and body. Then High by the Beach, 50% loved it, 50% were like "Omg she sold out! A trap song? Not on my watch!" HBTB MV too, that caused a lot of heated discussion. Then the incredibly meltdown-inducing artwork that nobody liked. Music to Watch Boys To was the only moment we stood together. And finally the album came out and many were in doubt, others were "unstanning" and others loved it.
