With just over 8 hours to go until this thread is closed, I just want to say a huge thank you to all my friends and really, all the members who posted in this thread and made it so much fun. I’ve never seen a community come together quite like this, and whether there be fights or petty disagreements, I think that dysfunction is part of the magic (and chaos) that LanaBoards fosters. This year has been huge with both Chemtrails and Blue Banisters coming out and I’ve really had the time of my life talking to everyone about something and someone we’re all so passionate about. I’ve gotten to know a very cellular but real part of so many of you through your thoughts and taste in music and that’s really special and intimate, even if we’re all over the world! That’s what this community is all about and it’s been so amazing to be reminded of that a lot this past year. I’m excited to share thoughts with everyone about the new songs and how they come together to form a brilliant, beautiful, coherent piece of work and just revel in the mind and soul of the legend who is Lana Del Rey! See you all on the other side and sending lots of love to anyone who’s reading this <3

I hate how that review starts off with, “One could argue that one Lana Del Rey album a year is enough. But here we are…” That is so tactless. They make it seem as if the record was like, thrust upon them, or something. No one is forcing you to listen if you don’t want to. So rude!

i will miss this thread so much. and the pre pre release thread. so many emotions! so much chaos! so many friends made and so many laughs and so much love shared. it's been a long long journey!!! i joined here when lana got ahead of herself and announced RCS. So many things have happened since then!!!!!! so much sleuthing and illegal downloading and shit posting. We created our own culture and our own fun and we'll always remember it! A part of Lana stan history! I love you all so much.

It's fine to not like the album, and that wasn't my issue with the article. My issue was that they feel as though it's their place to say how Lana should be telling her story. There also seems as though there's a bias against Lana from the person who wrote the review based on those first few sentences. If you're going to write a review on the album, you have to be objective. Letting your own personal biases bleed into your opinions is never a good idea if you want to be seen as a credible site/reviewer.

we're closing off another pre-release era, filled with laughter, fights, delusions, chaos, trolls, shitposts, & friendship! i get a feeling we won't immediately enter another pre-release for "ldr9" right away it'll be weird not having a full-fledged pre-release era for a main lana del rey album immediately after this one is finished, but for all we know, lana could hint at ldr9 through instagram, or her tv appearence tomorrow! i've had so much fun with you all, not just for blue banisters, but also chemtrails! we'll always be a tight-knit, amazing, exciting community, always having our gifs handy whenever we need them! and if we don't get the pre-pre-release thread for ldr9 right after, we always have the covers album thread!

Just posting here one final time before the clock strikes midnight and the album is out. Thanks for the fun times and interesting theories, I'm so glad I've been more hyped for this album than what I was for Chemtrails and could share my excitement with you. Wow, officially only 30 minutes left until we transition into the Post-Release Thread and us East Coasters have our first listen! Getting everything prepared for both the new thread and my listen.. feeling so emotional and I'm so excited. Love you guys, so happy to be here to close out the Pre-Release period with you all

Since this whole month has been sort of jam-packed for me, it isn't quite finished! I hope to get it up within a week or so x

I am disappointed that no reviewer has mentioned the lyrical complexities of Blue Banisters, Text Book, and Wildflower Wildfire. As far as I’m concerned, those three tracks are some of her best written. I also think it’s strange that nobody has commented on the lyrical continuity throughout? The loose themes of motherhood and family lineage that run between the triple singles, Cherry Blossom, Living Legend, and (I assume, as I haven’t heard it yet) Sweet Carolina are definitely worthy of mention. How embarrassing that critics never seem to focus on the lyrical brilliance and autobiographical dive Lana takes, and instead focus on one-off lines that are meant to provoke and offer a bit of lightness. Context clues & reading between the lines as a listener serve you well!

Ultraviolence, Honeymoon and Blue Banisters...the misunderstood trifecta.

The string arrangements on this album are on par with what Dan Heath does. Love this album more and more with each listen.

Not me sleeping for 15 hours except for a point where I woke up for about 30 minutes and groggily checked LanaBoards LOL. Anyway, I'm so excited to be here for the final few hours of Pre-Release Period & then have my first listen with you all! I'm now going to back and read the 350 pages from this thread that I missed over the past week while I was away lol - seems like you all have been having lots of fun here as we approached Blue Banisters' release! We're finally here now ahhhh time flies!! x
