the past few days i’ve been watching the lfl recording sessions that lana filmed and im really hoping she does that again. it was so sweet to watch her figure out how everything would sound n what vocal takes and notes she liked.

I don’t think that’s intended as an actual tracklist…that’s literally just an alphabetical order with ‘Die 4’ thrown near the end as if it skipped from playing in its actual spot

LFL showed us that she has no problem in mixing 2 (or more) different concepts in the same record if she suddenly changes her mind . I guess the conversational songs are the last ones she recorded and she has the fun ones already locked in for the album (even though we have 0 confirmation of bops incoming other than collective delusion, which I love)

Imagine if we had a full documentary on the recording process of UV with Dan... I need to know what really happened there cause it's the only time Lana worked with a producer for just one record and never went back to him again (not counting Mike and some other random one time producers obviously)

i'm sad that this is going to flop commercially but i'm also happy we're finally getting some substance, i just hope capitol doesn't stone her for lack of revenue

I wonder where is she channeling her anger to this time. The possibilities are endless: - Pat (My Momma, WFWF, BBS...) - The media, fame (too many examples) - Alt singers (FMWUTTT, Qftc) - Ex lovers (In My Feelings, Dealer maybe) - In a more existential (?) way (G&M, The greatest) - Pat (again) I find interesting that one of the few details she gave about the album was "I'm angry" cause I didn't expect her to still be so I'm curious to see if she's doubling down on the same topics of BB or if she's giving us another "type" of anger. I just hope Jack doesn't get in the way and we get to see the real unedited rambling that comes out of Lana's mouth when she's angry and not the sugar coated version he'd want to put out to not get associated with any "controversy"

I just assumed she played Taxi after the show cos yknow it's the end and people will be heading home, via taxis, public transport etc.

I'm exited for the first official release in years but being honest, this rollout is underwhelmingly boring. It was teased way too soon (and we were all so happy that day!) but the hype died down as a whole month went by without any news on the matter, and now that we're on the release week, Sky, known for teasing way too much, is completely silent. ik this is related to her increased anxiety problems, but the only thing we actually got with the DHL release was a pitchfork interview and that alone was more than enough! This album is clearly important to her and a pivotal moment in her career – being one of the most anticipated albums of the decade, having been rewritten several times while described as a "heavy visual album", plus all the mysterious circumstances and vague hints that surrounds its delays – I want her to go full force with it. I don't mind being gaslighted again, I just need to hear her say that this album is going to be the greatest thing ever released just to feel like this is actually happening. I'm just looking forward the mv and cute sandy kim behind the scenes pics, maybe that'll be the big breakthrough we have been waiting for

What if her "voice memo songs" are similar to the lizzy laptop acapella demos (but with actual production added to the final thing)

I’ve been gradually listening to Charli more and more over the last few months and wow. Her voice and writing is incredibly versatile. It’s actually so crazy to me how her voice is perfect for that electric synth pop rave music of True Romance, but also has the perfect raspy angst for the punk stadium pop of Sucker… while being perfect for the sleek and technological work of her more recent pop and PC influenced projects Yeah shes queen of pop

as some of you have pointed out, Dance Fever really wasn't as dark or melodramatic as one could've thought from the visuals, but I've listened to the album a LOT and I really do like it I didn't listen to any of the singles because I wanted the album experience and now my personal favourites are definitely King & The Bomb. I also like Free, Choreomania and Back In Town but My Love sounds like it could be great live so I'm looking forward to hear that this summer! also

Double album confirmed

I’ve been trying to rationalize this myself. I think it’s definitely possible to see both the bombastic songs and the wordy/conversational ones on the same record, but who knows. I mean, who would have guessed we’d get Dealer and Cherry Blossom on the the same album lol. Then again, maybe she’s saving the more upbeat ones for LDR10 or a later record. It’s even more confusing when you factor in her collab requests/wishes (Migos, Pusha T, Kali Uchis, etc.). I’m really not sure, but I’m curious to see! Hopefully the answer will be clear after LDR9 is released lol

My Lana sense is tingling... there's something in the air. Lana and Rob in the studio teasing all the time and they suddenly stop... just in time for a magazine cover where she talks about the album And yes I personally decided to ignore the fact that Jack is on tour for my own sake . She was at the studio with him back in April when they recorded that song he talked about but I hope it was just a late addition Lana wanted to make on a whim cause she had the voice memo and was hanging around with him there and not a sign of things not being ready (I know I'm too greedy but in my defense it's Rob's fault for teasing that much )

I really think the W magazine cover and interview was the start of the era. I have a feeling we will get the lead somewhere this summer. Until then… a snippet?

iirc she's talked about having control over her art, but then again, she's also discussed things like Atlantic sitting on FROOT forever and refusing to fund its mixing and photoshoot, the HTBAH video getting delayed because Atlantic thought she was ugly in it and wanted to make edits, Atlantic telling her to scrap 3 songs from EH's standard tracklist and getting her to scrap 2, Atlantic refusing Bubblegum Bitch as a single, etc. etc.

I still think this song should've been released like weeks ago... but I'm really happy that is at least coming out... This tea went cold, so cold... hopefully things will lighten up with the Music Video release... Not to mention that Sky going to Met Gala, showing up as the last one and not even doing an interview or smth like that is so odd. At least she showed up and did some public appearance and looked gorgeous. And hopefully the single get some good attention cause I really want more releases... My hopes are that at least with all these festivals we're getting new songs performances... If we're lucky... Masochism release this year so we could move on with it.

I used the Bounce instrumental to improve the audio on that iconic Kimmel performance... It's still not great because the live mix was awful, but I tried my best (and her energy more than makes up for any sound issues tbh). Imagine it’s a video (with Chuck recording) of Lana singing into her iPhone & then texting it to Drew Erickson with a message like “work your magic<3” & that’s our behind the scenes look Mostly kidding, but I’d love to see Lana interacting with Jack and Drew in the studio. She’s known for essentially being stubborn in the studio (Jack said so himself), so I’d love to see how hands-on she is as well!
