I think the most realistically way she could do a "surprise" release would be by announcing the whole album (with cover, tracklist, preorder, etc) the same day as the lead single. It wouldn't really be a surprise release but a "surprise announcement" would do for me It would be a nice change after the last 3 really stretched out eras full of uncertainty

It’s literally in my town and we take our dogs to that beach I had my prom at the castle she’s posing in front of and have done summer camps on the preserve property several years as a kid so it’s pretty amazing if that’s the case. Even the shoot felt so special for me

I want this album to be titled another artist's name but with FUCKING in between again give me NFR 2.0 with Georgia Fucking O'Keeffe and honestly, i bet lana could draw comparisons to how people misinterpret O'Keeffe's paintings as vaginas (even though she tried painting flowers and her husband marketed them as soft core vag)

We haven't really had a Lana summer [music] album since...when? Ever? It would be terrific if LDR9 were released in two weeks or so and we were actually able to enjoy it the balance of the summer, the warmth of which extends well into September and even October up here in the Northeast. That's my dream.

So far we have some vague hints: HM aesthetics (photo shoot + Swan Song / God Knows I Tried + following Nowels on IG and his response to a fan) + LFL original witchy/spacey/dreamy concept (album trailer + W Mag photoshoot inspiration?) + NFR loose/stream of consciousness style (Antonoff + hope 2nd video).

She said in her livestream during Blue Banisters era that she wanted to make another album trailer with Rich Lee and she referenced the Lust For Life trailer saying how much she loves it. Makes me think something is coming quite soon! I think Honeymoon and Lust For Life are both good reference points for her, and kinda align with what's been said about the new album. Lust For Life was her last album with "bops" so to speak and I could imagine Lana seeing songs like Cherry as bombastic these days.
