the problem we have as a country is we put SO much thought, attention, and money on the presidential race but largely ignore municipality and state elections, which ultimately have a bit of a bigger impact on our day to day. Thats not to say the figure head of the country isn’t important, and the president does have a good deal of power, but ultimately they have to work with the house and senate, both of which aren’t elected in 4 year cycles.

it's objectively not out of tune though... don't know what definition you're going by. and as for the repetitive... verse chorus and bridge have different chord progressions and melodies. it's as "repetitive" as every song whose verse is different from the chorus. it just seems like you don't like the song and are grasping at straws trying to justify it... you can just say its annoying and let it be that

I don’t think that how it was meant to be understood. Lana said that Lasso was very Americana lyrically: American dream, nature (perhaps), being free, laidback, having the choice to choose your own destiny (ta name a few elements). If those insider claims are true, it seems she is afraid of what would happen if Trump won, if only for the right to get an abortion. If she paints an idealistic view of what the American lifestyle could be on her album, and with a president she fears could « take it all away », then I could understand not wanting to release her album so soon to a Trump victory, with the morale of the « troops » being so low. But hey, we have no idea yet if those claims by our new insider are true, so let’s take everything with a grain of salt I guess.
