is someone really trying to say HBHG sounds like a sucker outtake... im tolerant of all takes but that is peak idiocy... have you even listened to sucker?? you know, the pop punk influenced album that she made??? if you think HBHG of all songs would fit on it you really need to just sit back and think. -

Hey angels! Thanks to today's leakage of HBHG I have finally been able to create a "set playlist" of the full Exchange LA set. It has all the 15 tracks from the original setlist edited to match SOPHIE's faster live pitch and tempo - the only exceptions being Boom Clap and ATAP, which were performed in the normal pitch/tempo and here appear edited as well to match the party vibe of the rest of the playlist. I've also made a cover for it and tagged all of them so they're ready to be played. Enjoy! https://dbree.org/v/c5b436 -

Heroin: Her best bridge. -
12 likesYou are comparing the lyrically strongest song on one album to one of the lyrically weakest on the other, and furthermore, a verse to a chorus. Not really a solid argument. Lana said herself on the Grammys red carpet that NFR is a "safe" album and it is, by her standards, as it doesn't deal with any controversial themes like most of her previous work. That doesn't make it a bad album, but there's nothing particularly groundbreaking about it sonically or thematically, imo.

11 likesjust seen a clip from a livestream of COPS LITERALLY TAKING SELFIES WITH THE "PROTESTERS" THAT BROKE INTO THE BUILDING im honestly lost for words. this level of privilege is off the fucking CHARTS. so much privilege, in fact, that they have to invent injustice where there is none, then drum up this level of noise to get some kind of attention - and even then, the cops won't take them seriously. at first the cop selfie thing was funny because of how shocking it was... but now, my mind just flashes to twelve year old Tamir Rice, shot by police for playing innocently in the street with a toy gun. and of course Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Sandra Bland, Mike Brown.......

10 likesI think some people were saying she edited the caption of the photo of her and the wolf so that it only said the video was coming the 11th, but I don’t think she ever said anything about the pre-order in the caption of that photo! The only indication of the pre-order on the 11th was at the end of the video teaser. So nothing has really changed!

9 likesThe fact that if these Trump Terrorist were BLM protesters they would have been shot and gassed. No questions asked. The double standards of it all America land of hypocrisy... Also I find it hilarious that these small minded fascist idiots were the same bunch that screamed blue lives matter a few months back, are now attacking the police. You can't make this shit up.

8 likesthe us having it coming or not, this is still unbelievably insane it shows, that they didn't take them serious and now they're understaffed the fbi has been warning about domestic terrorism, but it's obviously been ignored, since they're mostly white and trump supporters and this is the result. damn, insane "Trump won!"

I personally don't see NFR as safe at all. She was able to strip away some of the dramatic lushness that she's known for and explore things in a more grounded way, while still managing to make an album that feels both intimate and cinematic in equal measure. It feels like a whole lifetime is lived in this album and it's a really beautiful and compelling journey from start to finish for me. -
8 likesI mean, I can’t speak for the OP, but I really feel as though NFR’s best lyrical moments really showed a progression in depth, maturity, and nuance when compared to UV’s lyrical highlights. I also feel that NFR (at least thematically and in terms of songwriting) was often just as risky and explorative. In NFR (the album), she describes sex with a frank flippancy, touches on her history of hard drug & alcohol use, reflects on the turmoil of the political environment, and addresses her mental health in both a poetic and sometimes graphic way. In terms of raw vocal emotiveness and a similar production, Ultraviolence takes the cake, and that’s why I love them almost equally. However, I would argue that NFR not being controversial doesn’t detract from it being groundbreaking from a lyrical or thematic standpoint, but that’s just me also, out of curiosity, is there any chance you had a link to where Lana described NFR as being safe from that aspect? I was trying to find the video but was struggling lol edit: to clarify, there were aspects to the record I felt were “safe,” but lyrics and themes were—for the most part—not included
