Yes 100%, this is something I’ve been planning! There’s so much I’ve been meaning to do regarding setting up a Supporters subscription membership, I just need to actually set aside time to do it all lol. also I just want to state that LanaBoards will always be an open community for all, as I would never want to exclude anybody! We always have wonderful new users joining us daily, I mean just look at our iconic Best New Member nominees at the Lipsters! Plus I need traffic from new members to help w Adsense for our monthly site fees bc revenue has been especially low lately since there’s not really anything happening atm

Obv I don’t know anything abt her reality but I think it’s clear she’s been through a lot of mental strife and it truly blows my mind whenever I remember her resilience and sheer ability to… work (on herself, her art, etc.) let alone the amount she does 💘 A true shining beacon of hope in my life 😭😭

I really don’t like the idea of restricting content or abilities between paying and non paying members. we should all be able to have the same site/user experience regardless of member status this is a relatively close knit fan community and I think locking things behind a paywall would be very unfair and upsetting also yeah a NSFW section, maybe locked/unlocked based on your birthday (not that that would really stop people but just for legal liability), and threads from this section do not show up in the recently updated section. but then again I ask myself, is this really necessary lmfao it’s a Lana fan site…. Just go on Twitter if you wanna discuss that

it's incredibly disappointing that a very nice & awesome project meant to bring together a community & to celebrate some of lana's finest unreleased work were ruined by stupid discord stans </3 some people just want to watch the world burn...

i love the idea of being able to add custom smileys, extra customization, such as new themes & profile options, & more, as long as it doesn't involve money, maybe for reputation/time online? that technically gives everybody a fair chance, maybe it could be paid for if they don't want to wait for having a certain amount of reputation points/time online? @Elle i still strongly dislike the idea of having a "v.i.p" section or not being able to access certain parts of the site, though, i seriously hope that never gets implemented

Putting any features a lot of members would want behind a paywall would probs flop hard. I personally don't care (especially about restricted threads cause they'd be dry as hell), but I feel like most of these ideas will just result in people getting annoyed and visiting this site less often. Same goes for restricted threads for members with a certain amount of reputation points or whatever. I feel like if new users not that familiar with this community saw this site had restricted threads for new members and perks for paying members they would just leave, cause why would they stay on a site that has aspects that annoy them lol. These concepts might work for now in terms of getting more donations and having certain parts of this site protected from potential trolls but they just seem bad for the long run.

This has to be the most naive take I read today and I already checked my twitter. NFTs are a cashgrab used by people who hang Elon Musk posters in their bedroom. They harm the environment and will not seriously upgrade the situation of any music artist that isn't already wealthy anyway. It's one of the most annoying and overglorified trends of our century so far.

okay here’s a more in depth take because i was eating like 5 mins ago. im against tiers and reputation points hiding certain threads - i believe this was a feature on ladygaganow and it made the site so hard to become active on because people were reluctant to like posts of newcomers and also i wanted to share fan art but couldn’t for ages because i didn’t have enough rep points for that section. it’s just annoying and makes a forum hard to be active on and enjoy paying for anything except an ad free experience is a no no for me. i mean, i wouldn’t mind being able to upload your own smileys/have access to exclusive themes as a cute bonus to an ad-free subscription, but having to pay for a vip experience to unlock threads will just kill the site. more obscure threads, such as general conversation threads could be unlocked by being active on the site, but that’s only if they really have to be. i still don’t think it’s a great idea. however if it’s introduced, don’t make the Mental Health threads only accessible via a certain method etc again, reputation points could unlock cool features to entice people into being active (such as themes, customisation features on the profile i.e. profile picture shape) but none of these features should detract from the site and should only be unnecessary but fun benefits as a reward for being active

I really like this rep points perks concept but that might lead to people spamming to get their rep points up. Idk if mods still have access to the time users have spent online but perks based on your time spent online would be better tbh it would prevent spam to get your rep up and would lead to people visiting this site more which leads to higher adsense, kinda genius tbh

i actually STRONGLY dislike the idea of having a section of the forum only certain members can view, if they pay for it, not everybody can afford that & i really don't need to feel any sort of exclusion here when it's one of the only few places i can feel like myself & communicate with people... like i know it's not that personal, but knowing there's a part of this forum which only a few people can access because they could afford it really rubs me the wrong way, i don't think it's fair that some people here will be able to feel "exclusive" & have certain benefits when in reality they could be enjoyed by everybody here also the idea of the audio section/downloads also being restricted is also something i do not agree with i'd assume for most people here, this is the only place they download their leaks from also this isn't directed towards anybody! just my thoughts!

i get why the cover wasn't used, i personally don't think it captured the entire feeling of the song, or would've changed it's kind of tone/meaning thru and from it. and it would've looked amazing and real niche, but the angle of the way it was shot makes her form look real disproportionate, and not so much in an artful way. the post reminds me of how an artist really needs to get away how she mentioned in the lust for life trailer, hoping it does have something to do with a poetry release. it feels like there's some kind of fire rekindling in her from a collective sense so i'm wondering when and how that'll come out the last photo oddly enough reminded me of pawn shop blues somehow.

I could see other perks like larger pfp size or something so I can grace you all with a high res pinky asf.
