16 likesYes but also during that time we heard about some "bombastic outtakes" from the NFR! sessions that Jack teased. Plus the Cinnamon Girl outro which Jack talked about being a last minute change cos Lana came back from a trip pissed off at a guy or something. We then have the mystery of the White Hot Forever concept and how that was originally the title of Chemtrails Over The Country Club but also the initial song title for Tulsa Jesus Freak. Then there was the strange addition of The Trio (Interlude) on Blue Banisters. And who knows what Rock Candy Sweet outtakes could sound like if they exist? And finally, I think we definitely heard a sonic shift on Ocean Blvd with the latter few songs and the Jimmy segment of A&W. This could all hint at there being other sounds and vibes being put together behind the scenes over the past 4 years?

10 likesJust like Cowboy Carter, Lasso will not be a purely country album. Lana is known for mixing genres, and I think we will see that in this album as well. Sure, maybe we'll hear 1-2 songs that sound like typical country in everyone's mind, but the rest of the songs will be influenced by folk, jazz, hip-hop and pop.

8 likesI don’t mean to rain on y’all’s parade but Lasso has been conceived for the past 5 years, fully during the NFR-COCC-BB days. If I had to bet I’d say the album is exactly what we thought it would be prior to this Quavo thing which honestly strikes me as a very recent change of direction. I don’t think Lasso will be trap infused beyond this song.

8 likes"Oh, my god, you look just like Rihanna!" "No, no, you're more like Lady Gaga!" Actually, my name's RuPaul. For this week's challenge I decided to honor Marina and the Diamonds: The queen of homeless chic! I am going back to my roots as an edgy drag queen back in the 80s when I was serving nothing but Crisis, Uncertainty, Need, and Tenacity with my beautiful pieces of fabrics that I found under someone's tent here at Skid Row. And it doesn't stop there, as I pose, I RuVeal a second homeless chic look and a big curly wig, straight out of the Homeless Fashion Institute! I am so happy to dedicate an entire photoshoot to Marina Diamandis, a true icon of homelessness and bedframes.

7 likesA bit of a warning to not post things that are leaks or are labeled as leaks, even if they are fake or AI. The intent to post something possibly from the album is shown and in a real scenario with real leaks, could get LB shut down. Dont post that YouTube link anymore kindly and refrain from doing this in the future xoxo

7 likesGood afternoon hobos. I hope this week has humbled you. You were asked to do a photoshoot and submit a photo that best represents the theme of "HOMELESS CHIC" Each week gets harder and harder to judge. This was the hardest yet. Me and guest judge @ivory almond have thoroughly looked through the photos and are ready to reveal the results. I have 8 beautiful women standing before me, but only 7 photos in my hand. One of you will be leaving us today. These 7 photos will represent the 7 of you that are still in the running to become LanaBoards Next Top Model. Let's begin with the critiques. ------------ RuPaul ( @Paris Hilton) You are this week's winner! You have gained the ability to sabotage one of the girls. Please DM me who you would like to sabotage. Critiques: ------------ Mitski ( @ultrabanisters) You are this weeks runner-up! This means you are protected from sabotage. Critiques: ------------ Lana Del Rey ( @Daytona Beach Sparkler) You are still in the running. Critiques: ------------ Kate Bush ( @sparklertrailerheaven) You are still in the running. Critiques: ------------ Kate Moss ( @southbeachswing) You are still in the running. Critiques: ------------ Anya Taylor-Joy ( @jimmyjimmycocoapuff) Tinashe ( @TheBoss) Charli XCX ( @bunoner) You are the bottom three of this week. One of you will be eliminated from the running. Stay tuned for the next challenge... Make sure to evaluate your critiques to avoid the same mistakes in the future. Goodnight ladies. Also, feel free to look at everyone's submitted photos on Page 1 of this thread!

7 likesYeah the Polaroids and the lyrics to the song definitely give country so I wouldn’t be surprised if this was for lasso, tho now I’m a little confused about the overall sound because the snippet doesn’t sonically read country at all. I’m just hoping whatever she puts out is cohesive. I know Beyonce managed a massive melting pot of genres that still felt like it all belonged together with cowboy carter but this snippet isn’t really giving cowboy carter levels of production so….

7 likesspare change, lanaboards? for this weeks challenge, i wanted to explore the theme 'homeless chic' but equally be respectful and pay homage to those less fortunate than ourselves. as a platinum selling recording artist, this took some soul searching. in thinking about my look this week, my stylist and i wanted to explore the more nuanced meaning of truly being homeless, and that led us to thinking about belongings. you can have so much baggage, but you can have nowhere to put it in exploring these themes, we have come up with 3 looks. these convey 'belongings', 'searching' & 'love'. these all come together to form a ru-veal lookbook, and i reveal each garment in a different setting to convey my hidden meanings for my first theme, i wanted to get across the first message, and show that despite not having a home, i wander the streets with my worldly possessions. hailing from my ancestral home, japan, i wanted to have my location as tokyo this week 'belongings' - main look handmade garments made from fabric found on the streets of tokyo, paired with hand-me-down chanel and balenciaga bags. truly embodying the meaning of homeless & chic 'searching' moving on from 'belongings', it became clear that there is simply more to the theme 'homeless chic'. in a shock reveal, i have showcased the true reality of being without a place to stay. searching the streets for a bed, i stay hopeful, and pay homage to those without roofs to sleep under 'love' in my final theme, a third reveal shows a parred down outfit with my one true love, music. i always stay true to my roots, and even without a home, i am humble and happy with my drum to continue playing for the world and doing what i love

7 likesI feel like I predicted this back when they first started being sighted together and honestly I'm not mad... "Between this and the country album, why do I feel like we're gonna end up with her Bangerz instead. I remember Pharrell and Miley calling Bangerz a country/hip hop fusion something like "dirty south"."

6 likesLANA DEL REY'S HOMELESS CHIC LOOK The Born To Die money ran out so I was forced to go homeless and now I live under a bridge on Skid Row, where I serenade the rats with a lullaby every night. But who said homeless people can't be glamorous and serve chic realness? For this look, I wore this nostalgic, 1960s-coded army jacket that was given to me by a homeless veteran who fought in the Badussy War. He almost died in the war and lost all his family to a bad disease. How heartbreakingly tragic. Underneath the jacket, I'm wearing a frilly shirt and my favorite blue jean shorts. They were the only clothes that I managed to grab from my closet before the landlord kicked me out of my million dollar home. I'm also wearing these resilient "white" sneakers that have endured the harsh conditions of the street. I nearly broke them running from the cops when I broke into a motel once with my girlfriends. I honestly don't mind the holes in them, as they give my toes room to breathe. For the jewelry, I'm wearing this glimmering silver bracelet and these 17 karat rings that I stole from a wealthy couple in an alleyway at night. They should've known better than to go down there during the nighttime! Anyways, I really cherish them as they're the only valuable items I have. I might pawn them so I could get money to buy a cherry vape though. For the hair, I done it real big beauty queen style. The rats love to sleep in it at night as it gives them the warmth they never have on the cold streets. I also put these black, fake roses that I found in the dumpster in my hair. They remind me of the ones that my dead friend Lizzy wore in her hair. Last but not least, for the makeup I wore dark eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara that I stole from the drugstore. Thank God that the cashier was stupid and didn't see me put them in the pocket of my jacket. I make sure to ration them out carefully as they're probably the only makeup I'll ever have for now. And even if I run out, I'll just use the ashes from the bonfire as eyeshadow or steal again.
