Maybe we want Rick back because we like his production style more than Jacks production style and Rick was involved in all of her albums so even if she works with Rick she can evolve Many want Dan back cause he is not a yes man like Jack And many of us want Zach because that would be kinda a new producer for an entire album and usually this means a shift in sound and we knew they did Dealer which is a screamer and this seems like something new from her

Everyone can express their opinions and preferences because that's the reason we are members of LB, to share our opinions on one of our favorite artists. The thing though that feels strange to me is that critics seem to glorify Lana's new work and more minimalistic approach to production saying that her old or more dramatic sound was adding more to that ''sad persona'' or even mocking AKA and her image during that period. It saddens me and it also feels to me a little bit hypocritical that critics used to trash her more grand imagery and production in the start of her career or even focusing on more superficial things about her and not her music at all . Both a grand production and a minimal one can be praised , especially with Lana's work and evolution that can be seen from the start of her career. Lana has always been great and did not start being great or ''songwriter'' material from NFR or from her collaboration with Jack ( or with any other producer really) she has always been one . Every album is a part of her ongoing journey and we are just here for the ride . (These are just my personal thoughts )

I am so fucking excited for June 1. I choose to believe this comes out June 1st and I also choose to believe it’s coming out on marilyns birthday intentionally

In my eyes her entire career shifted after honeymoon was released(her last “Lana” album to me), she was caught in the motions with political events, had tons of scrapped album ideas which reflected the final cut of lust for life with lots of filler being present and to top it all off it was very incohesive which subjectively to me made it her worst album. NFR was then released as which continued to stray even further from Lana as a character with her writing becoming incredibly vague itself and had a very different lyrical style to prior releases with it being very safe in songwriting and production-I would say this was a critics wet dream, it doesn’t particularly innovate or offend and has lots of piano ballads with it completely demolishing any cinematic feel. I also find the consensus critic feedback for this album incredibly sexist-a woman is only deemed good when she strips herself back from glamour or uses a piano and a simple melody(most of the critics stated she behaved as an actual human being on this album). If I’m being honest I feel from what we’ve learned of Lana over the years she craves the liking of others and is a people pleaser no matter much how she denies it, she will continue to make records like NFR and CoCC as long as she is heaped with praise -she’s stated her misgivings with aspects of Cocc but can’t make her mind up but as long as the feedback hails her as a genius she will continue to play it safe. I don’t believe any of this is Jacks fault but he is a yes man and will not push Lana outside of her comfort zone. she ironically displays some of what she protests about in some ways-Narcissistic values as displayed when she gets irritate with the tiniest amount of critique. She is a sweet person but also stuck inside a perception of herself.

This is just a phase the same way LFL and NFR was, it’s just that this country phase is unbearable so it seems longer. Hopefully next year she’ll make some rock friends and can leave Nicki behind in her Alabama swamp.

I hate on how society is obsessed with keeping us all the same. Any woman that doesn't act like what is considered right, is immediately portrayed as a monster. Lana since the beginning of her career was demonized and unheard. When she gave up what made her special, she finally received her good girl cookie. I know that she must be tired of always being a controversy, but what cost? NFR lyrics many times sounds like random tweets put into a music. The instrumentals are also poorly executed. Can't wait for her to get tired from all of this and come back to masterpieces

Lana has dabbled in many genres and has received critical acclaim for it! Fans expressing that it would be cute too revisit an old sound means nothing... at the end of the day she will always be in control it’s just a preference people have

As much as I like COCC, I don't want another Jack album. Like at all. I still find his production to be lackluster and boring even though I find the subtlety perfect and beautiful on COCC. I want something more, something that'll burn, burn hot and singe into my mind. I want something that'll beat me, and Jack isn't capable of beating me. No I want something new and I'll be disappointed if we get Jacks production again, especially for a revenge album. Anyways am I the only one who doesn't believe the twitter twink we're getting this info from.. the fact that they kept sharing new things makes me think they're just making stuff up for the attention. They could make anything up by this point cause its so early on and no one will clock them for it when the album finally releases
