I really really really feel like it would be a missed opportunity if Lana doesn’t include a cover of Big Rock Candy Mountain on this album. I can almost hear Lana singing it in her own way, a little slowed down, deeper in the verses, higher and twinkly in the chorus, maybe a mellotron in the background. The lyrics are even Lana-esque enough that people would probably even think it was a quirky original. Cigarette trees? Lemonade streams? Bluebirds singing? Lana was meant to sing this song.

We did just get an album a month and a half ago I wish she would have just not announced the album the day after Chemtrails came out because we’re all on the edge of our seat when we should be content. She should have announced Blue Banisters in June or July (since that’s probably when we’ll get the single) and gone from there

Even if it gets delayed like Chemtrails it's not like she's going to stay silent for a year. We got in August (I think) the bts video of the chemtrails MV and that a song was coming before that, then in October we got LMLYLAW and then in december the preorder and MV announcement. I expect something (at least an announcement or snippet) sometime in May/June.

She obviously had to manage the promotion for the album because the label didn't want to. For some weird reason, they didn't have faith in this record (probably after the commercial success of Electra Heart; still I don't get it). That's how Froot of the Month was born I suppose. Anyway, LOL @ FROOT being Marina at the peak of her creativity. Electra Heart who. It's probably the only concept album she'll have ever done, unfortunately, and the only one having so many references and inspirations. Now she seems more inspired by social media posts rather than classic literature. As for engagement, she probably felt really destroyed after the fandom loathed Love + Fear. Twitter stans literally diss her over and over, and she even used to post hand-written letters to us right before L+F came (they were really cute), sending wishes, writing how much the wait was gonna be worth it and so on... let alone the Marinabook thing and her Instagram posts with giant explanations what the L+F singles were about. I hope she'll get better after Ancient Dreams, which I'm sure the fandom will love, dunno about the critics though; depends on who is going to make a review.

Honestly, for me, just being able to tell her how much she's impacted me would be enough. She's literally the only artist I listen to that I've never gone through a period of growing tired of and not listening to for a bit. She's a major constant in my life and her music manages to resonate with me throughout all the changes I go through. I do think it'd be nice to give her a more personal gift if I were to give her something. Maybe a notebook or diary sort of thing that's personalized/made specifically for her
