i'm feeling a touch of psychedelia. some heavy guitars. some heavy synths. soft perfect drums... not overly abrasive. perfectly blended. like a classic white milkshake. title track is dreamy, slow, honeymoon-esque, with a rougher twist. the rock and heaviness of ultraviolence and the beats, atmosphere, and smoothness of honeymoon. the western vibes of chemtrails. and a little baby voice to top it off

This moment in the pre-release reminds me of this exact time 6 years ago, when the rumour was that the lead single of Honeymoon was called “Regina Sunset” and then one of the models in the MTWBT video posted BTS pics saying the song was coming out in June, and the fake tracklists included Yes to Heaven, Fine China, and a song called White Tiger. And then she shook everyone to the core by singing an a cappella verse of Honeymoon on the last date of the Endless Summer tour and included the lyrics in the lyric books at the merch stand and it was just such a fun time! I’m really feeling a similar type of anticipation to this album because we already know it’s going to be so different

For an album that's supposed to be coming out on July 4th, things are way too quiet

I have A really strong feeling about this record lyrically. if you watch the question for the culture response video she says she’s on her journey to tell her story and sometimes it might get rocky like this along the way. Blue banisters is going to be a major part of telling her story as she’s teased with the caption. So this record’s lyrics will be very specific-kind of like White Dress, very narrative, explaining her life experiences and her story. And she said White Dress was her being on the brink of something. Over the recent years albums her lyrics and titles have been getting more specific and relating to her unique life story. This might be what BOZ was so surprised about. So she probably won’t say anything controversial but more just storytelling and detailing her past and future. I mean just listening from the snippet BB is a pretty unique song lyrically.

Rock candy sweet sounds so much beter as an album title...i hope she keeps it and blue banisters is just the lead ? as a name it sounds so boring

(now realize i could've quoted you in a diff topic, sorry!) but i feel like discussing collabs does belong here? we can discuss what collabs we might or might not want to see. it's the same as wishing for a certain producer, certain aesthetic, etc etc. idk just a thought on topic, i dont think that promo is real

That being said, I'm really excited for this album, or this track if Lana and Mike have only collaborated for one song. I really hope they've enjoyed spending time together in the studio and created something magical. Can't wait for the single to drop, I hope it's next week like the rumor says.

I started this when we thought Rock Candy Sweet was still the album title, but thought I’d finish it to reflect Blue Banisters lol. I had something different for Lana in mind when doing this! Kind of Travis Scott-inspired.

Apparently someone on ATRL (I guess they’re an insider?) said there is no Madonna collab at all. Take that as you may, just sharing what’s going on over there lol. No idea how reliable this person is or if it’s just an educated guess (my educated guess would also be that there is no collab with those two also so ??‍♂️)

regarding the news about madonna’s photographer i saw multiple madge stans say he has been following her for years so probably false alarm and there’s no collab with her. today’s the 20th day no? will she finally say something album related today/sunday ?

So yesterday I received my order from the first drop, but today I also received the LDR Village PR Box that they had sent me! (For those unaware, the director of LDR Village reached out to me awhile ago to do some promotion for LDR Village, and LanaBoards was the sole announcer of the LDR Village pop-up event a Melrose Trading Post) As a thank you, they sent me their PR Box with some goodies inside! I can totally see Lana having a track called: Wedding Vows. What we want: Sexy lyrics/trap beats and her singing that she married the devil, and then sold her soul to the devil for fame. But she got it back because the beast thought she was too much like poison ivy. What we get: a soft piano with no real production singing about how in love she is with Clay. Seriously though, we really need some info on this future serve of an album.

We all knew that it wouldn't be released in July lol but we better get the title track soon! Listening to the snippet again and I really need that lol. Excited for her and Mike working together. Def think it will be nice to have things shaken up a bit. I really don't know what to expect, it is exciting. Not necessarily expecting some huge turn but I am def anticipating a fuller sound and maybe more personal somewhat provocative subject matter. We will see, currently resigned to not receive BB before September. I would certainly love to be proven wrong though!

if it weren't for madonna all your guys' faves wouldn't even be here she's an actual legend if lana released an album in the same sexual vein/energy of madonna's masterpiece erotica i'd die (but ik it'll never happen )

See I'd love to think this too but then there's the cover for LMLYLAW that she released she thought that was gud I won't even start with her published author selfie photo for Violet lol BUT here's to hoping!! Whatever style she opts for, I just hope it's big and bold and very Lana

This is why I think "Blue Banisters" or "Rock Candy Sweet" are not the name of the next album. Lana has announced the album twice with different covers and different names but, both times she seems to be joking about it. She knew people would talk about how awful the cover is and she used that as a marketing strategy (not even the dates sound realistic) The first time she mentioned it was right after dragging a magazine for having criticized her and the second time it was out of nowhere with the same cover photo but with a different edition, this along with a few seconds of the song "Blue Banisters" In my opinion BB or RCS will not be the name of the album and she has only used them to promote it and get people talking about it. adding to this that Mike seems to be very quiet about it without giving any details other than an overview of what the album will sound like. As a final point BB does not sound like an album name in my opinion, I feel that it is nothing related or of the quality of "Lana Del Rey" except for the fact that it has the word blue that seems to be a "never missing" in the discography of Lana Del Rey.
