29 likesi think it's a lana thing. as some have said before, if arcadia was a billie eilish/lady gaga/taylor swift song, it would definitely be #1 and probably win soty. not sure if it's entirely her fault though (for doing little to no promo, qftc, etc). the industry hates her and it's mutual. i feel like this album is her way of not only saying, but showing how little she cares about charts and awards.

24 likesIf she goes indie we won’t be getting 5 exclusive vinyls anymore that’s for sure and plus, interscope doesn’t step in with what she releases anymore, clearly. They only did with UV because it was her second album after a massive debut and obviously a label is going to want the most marketable music possible from that but also this conversation happens EVERY album she’s not retiring, changing her name, and I highly doubt she goes indie. Even if she leaves interscope, she will be signed under a different major label.

24 likesI actually think it's sort of funny how this whole thing played out because I organise my unreleased collection into multiple albums structured sonically, and on one of my unreleased albums I have a track run that goes Wild One, Nectar of the Gods, Cherry Blossom, Living Legend, Fine China. Imagine if this actually had ended up happening for Blue Banisters! My tracklist got pretty close though as Blue Banisters has a run of Nectar of the Gods, Living Legend, and Cherry Blossom, and I know at least Fine China was considered (don't remember about Wild One.) So, I predicted this pretty closely ages ago! Totally taking partial creds x

23 likesIt kinda makes sense why she said we should listen to Arcadia the same way we'd listened to Video Games... Born to Die was the beginning of Lana Del Rey and Blue Banisters is the end of that era, that persona. This is the final chapter. But it's not the end, now a new story begins, one she'll tell herself

22 likesDo you gays think maybe Sweet Carolina is about Lana and Chuck’s sisterhood and that’s why Chuck said « our song » in her post? In my head maybe Rob calls them ‘Carolina’ as a duo (Caroline+Lana) and that’s why all three of them are involved on the song. Edit: Not my autocorrect changing guys to gays.

22 likesand I think it's interesting how the one song where we get insight into her relationship with her mother, Wildflower Wildfire, is in the same section of the record as Cherry Blossom, a very maternal and nurturing song, and Living Legend. This is going to be the deepest look into Lana as a person and what has made her the person she is today. You can't blacken the pages (her history) with Russian poetry and be happy....

22 likesI get why she wanted to rename her the album after Arcadia: what an elaborate and intricately well-done track!!! I mean, to put together herself, Arcadia (both town and idealistic place from mythology) and America, it’s just ?!!! I mean, the alliteration from Arcadia / America / I need a miracle… and to put the contrast between America in decline and herself who is strong through her vulnerability I bow to thee, my lyricist Queen. And musically, geez

21 likesIsn't it amazing when someone puts actual effort into an era? It makes a lot of difference. It's clear that she's not willing to play the industry game by any means anymore and it's admirable she's sticking to that attitude (as opposed to someone like Lorde who sings about hating California and wanting to be in the wilderness and yet she's in every talk show, doing magazine covers, doing a week-run of performances for James fucking Corden, etc - maybe to compensate the lack of quality of her latest output?). However, she changed the profile pictures of every social media account, put out a music video with an actual concept, did an amazing photoshoot with Neil to complement the album aesthetically speakinh and further expand the universe of Blue Banisters... like, this is the Lana we fell in love with: someone who's passionate about her work and shares it with the world with confidence and attention to detail. Makes me wonder what went wrong with Chemtrails for her. It's clear she wanted to release it earlier but maybe the delays due to the pandemic made her lose sight of her vision halfway through... hence the lack of promotion and the apparent lack of interest as well.

20 likesI don’t think Lana has any problem with NFR, when it got released, it seemed to be the album she was the most proud of and one of her most introspective ones at the time, with how much of her "daily life" was in it. The songwriting was different from her past works such as UV or HM because she was in a different place in her life, and had grown up and matured a lot. But I think that with the amazing reception the album got, Lana might have thought she was finally loved by the general public as a person, when in fact, what people loved was the album, not necessarily her. The general public never really liked her as a person. QFTC is what made her realise people loved her music, but still weren’t on the same boat as her. Chemtrails was her telling how she misses a life without fame and how much of a burden it can be, and also how important her family is to her when times get rough. And now with BB she’s about to tell the whole story. NFR was a statement, it’s where she was back then and where she probably still is in terms of her everyday life, but with Chemtrails and BB, we’re getting a larger picture of her past too, and the damage that the public not liking her as a person has brought.

19 likesNot Olivera Domingo Anyway, pretty much all of this + COCC was released just 5/6 months ago... it's not like she took a 4 years hiatus and just dropped her come back single! She's releasing music non-stop since last october (LMLYLAW, Summertime Gerswhin Version, COCC single + album, BB, TB and WW) doing literally 0 promo, the lack of hype from the gp is quite predictable

17 likesInterscope would NEVER drop Lana Del Rey. Especially as a touring force. Only way this is her last album with Interscope is if Lana herself chooses to go indie. I really appreciate you for info, obviously you have some. But you are sooooo baiting some of these stans by wording things the way you are. I mean “this is the end of Lana Del Rey”… come on boo, you know exactly what you are doing lol
