Born to Die and Paradise were Lana taking her experiences and spinning them into these evocative and enhanced visions of the reality she once knew. Lust for Life was Lana subverting that reality and challenging the moral foundations upon which she operates, marking a transition. Norman Fucking Rockwell! and Chemtrails Over the Country Club were sabbaticals that showed a day-in-the-life of Lana and consolidated her creative vision. Ultraviolence, Honeymoon, and Blue Banisters are the complex and intricate autobiographical recounts that are the fruit of Lana's labour. These three records are where the heavy lifting of turning all the way inward happens – and yields the most rewards. (8 days, 9 hours, and 23 minutes!)

Maybe Mike used Lana's voice to create the distorted drums. Something similar to Living Legend's guitar solo She's the instrument, now!

I found the production credits! These seem to be incomplete, since some of them don't match what we know about the tracks (e.g. Nectar of the Gods, Living Legend, Sweet Carolina...). But it's better than nothing!

lipsters saying how much they hate piano ballads & the piano in lana's songs while at the same time listening to old money, fine china, million dollar man, & cherry blossom

everyone on mod queue that means i can write my manifesto about why bb will be her next magnum opus without getting interrupted or lost in the flow of conversation... a few main points i must stress are that lana thrives without jack (wrinkly) antonoff, she has recently tapped into a large vault of childhood and family trauma that has created some of her most beautiful and heartfelt lyrics... her sister had a baby, she is reminded of rebirth, and thus thought, i must rebirth lana del rey. no - its true... blue banisters is the birth of a new age of lana, more reflective, more sentimental, looking back upon the world with a different view, ready to tell her story in a different way.. it tells the story of her life, from her childhood to adulthood, from lake placid to LA, from one point to the next.. it encapsulates her life thus far as we know it. blue banisters is not just the cap, the ending, the summary of what she has lived, but the beginning of a new life, the start of something new, it is lana sitting down and saying no, i'm going to do things differently... some of the tracks will be simple yet beautiful, cherry blossom, thunder, etcetera... they'll be passionate, sentimental, emotional... some of the tracks will be involved, messy, chaotic perhaps, encapsulating the pure chaos of her life and the experiences she has had... this resurrection, this rebirth, of lana del rey, is particularly apparent in the arcadia alternative music video – the flowers, the sunlight, and the breeze all being representative of spring and the blossoming of nature as well as lana herself. blue banisters is, as mentioned, not just as album about rebirth. blue banisters is both spring and fall - it is the arcadia alt mv, idyllic representation of spring, greens, whites, blues, pinks, soft sunlit yellows... it is also the original arcadia mv, colors of fall, yellows, browns, rusted shades and grain. the album cover, the sepia tones, representing fall... and the blue profile cover representing again the blues of spring. spring is the season of rebirth, resurrection, and new life, while fall is the season of change, death, and ending... as i said, blue banisters is not just the "fall" - the ending of a story, closure to something, closure perhaps on the story of Lana Del Rey, but it is also the "spring" – the creation of something new, the flourishing of buds, the creation of something beautiful from something dead.... blue banisters is her love letter to herself and her life thus far, and an album with such a goal and that has such apparent striking imagery even before the whole album has been released (and i haven't even listened to arcadia) can only be a great work from a great artist. fin

These ‘insiders’ were cute at first now they’re getting tiring the way the BB pre-release was going so smoothly and now it’s going to be remembered as the ‘fake information’ era

and breaking up slowly only has piano credited but not the guitars, pedal steel or bass. same for dance till we die it doesn’t have the trumpets, guitars, horns, rhodes and mellotron credited. which is perfect proof that the BB credits aren’t complete WE WON

I’m sure someone’s made this comparison before, but I feel like WFWF will be the Heroin equivalent to this record—a very dark but almost conversational track that reveals something vulnerable about Lana’s life. I adore Heroin, so I really hope there ends up being an unheard song on BB that tops it for me! Fingers crossed for tracks 5 and 15 lol

everyone's freaking out over pianos being in the credits as if she hasn't used pianos in every album of her career besides sirens the instrument is there for a reason... everything comes together to make the song sound like a full-fledged produced song, the guitars, synth, bass, keys, percussion, drums, etc. including the piano let's not forget that the production credits only leaked partially

If she did remove the guitars on NOTG and LL then both songs are reworked. On the other hand I think these credits are incomplete. For example, Sweet Carolina mentions Drew Erickson but not Rob who 100% plays the piano. Anyway, Violets for Roses having violins and violoncello is EVERYTHING. And If You Lie Down With Me with all the trumpets and tubas. And Miss Black Bathing Suit with guitars and drums.

honestly i feel like this is such an unpopular opinion but i really dont want the album to leak, we're SO close, wouldn't it be better just to hear it in 9 days as the artist intended? sure if we were months away then by all means leak that shit but we're literally in single digits now just over a week! and honestly i feel like it'd be such a special experience for us all to be able to enjoy it on release day together, whether on streaming services or on vinyl, cd, cassette, however we wanna listen to it in fullllll beautiful quality, not using some site like [redacted] or having to download any shady files or whatever! and everyone can do their little release day rituals too! it'd just be so much better. im manifesting a smooth rollout personally, sorry edit: leak Crazy For You tho
