Streets are saying they had the album ready for a surprise drop tonight but Sky didn't feel it was right for her international fans who've waited all this time to not hear it in their mother tongue so she's going to re record it in all 7,100 languages (even the dead ones) to give it international justice. She just needs to learn them first…

I can’t remember if I shared this on LanaBoards or if someone else already did after I posted it on my Instagram, but I found this picture of Lana holding a pink Paisley Strat guitar, taken at ICP studios in Brussels, Begium on June 1st, 2013 back in January and I think it’s pretty cool. One of my favorite things about this album is that it feels like the end of the day of one of the last days of summer. The album begins at evening time just before sunset. There’s a dark storm on the horizon, but the sun is still shining and everything is still golden. Then, the album progresses through sunset, through dusk, through the storm, and into nighttime by the end. It’s that bittersweet feeling of the end of the era and the celebration around that, but also the melancholy of knowing it’s over. NFR was released around this time of year in the northern hemisphere. It was also released at the end of the best summer of my adult life so far and not too long before the pandemic where everything in my life changed significantly and permanently. It’s one of my top two favorite albums of all time. I’m so grateful that I have it and all of the memories and feelings that are attached to it. It was horrible waiting a year for the album to be released since MAC dropped, but now, I’m so appreciative that it was released when it was.

So this year's MET gala theme is "In America: An Anthology of Fashion" - basically part II of last year's theme. Dress code is "gilded glamour" I'm not an American, so i might not understand how it should be to be considered as "In America" but I really think this is another playground for Lana & this is her chance to have another wholesome 2018 MET moment again - since she had proved her knowledge of the American culture throughout her past eras. It'll be a shame if she isn't invited this year. I mean... "Gold" has been referenced so many times in her music as "Americana" imagery i.e: "i've heard those streets were paved with gold" "your skin so golden brown" "you can be my full-time daddy, white & gold" "gold teeth - pretty baby" and she fucking murdered these looks looking all the way 100% American starlet "gold teeth, pretty baby" lmao - she is such a perfect embodiment of "America" more than America itself.

my personal dream vision for LDR9 (not something i really expect, but i would be happy if the record would be resembling any of these elements): - heavily dream pop inspired production with little cinematic twist (something like host by cults or once twice melody by beach house), much reverb, a few tracks with more electric guitars and distortion - key songs: valley of the dolls, if i die young, tulsa jesus freak, how to disappear, stargirl, love, venice bitch, the next best american record, thunder - more songwriting that shows you specific kind of imagery, not only tells a story (like a throwback to her older stuff but without all cringe america references) - brand new producers - more lower register (i totally love her high notes but we get that a lot recently, so it would be cool if we would get both equally) - no trap beats (we don’t want another lust for life) as much as i love lana’s current singer-songwriter acoustic style, it would be cool if she proved she still can do something different

I mean, we know Just Desserts wasn't intended for the OG album. But the song was originally written in 2011 + released as a droplet around the same time as EVOL. It's definitely apart of the era, and wouldn't be too out of place on the rerelease tbh. I would've loved for her to add some more songs, but I'm glad we got EVOL and the title track

I didn’t necessarily want her to add random scrapped songs to the EH Platinum Blonde Edition cause that would kinda ruin it as a cohesive body of work (although a b-side album would’ve been nice), but I do wish she added 1 more song that fit the album so it would’ve been 20 songs instead of 19
