i just want something out of left field. no country, no stripped back bullshit. give me strings, give me mellotronic choir, give me weird fuckin shit i can listen to while my anus is being destroyed, give me after sex pillow talk tunes, give me large electric guitars, some drums in there, with some psychedelic space violins and chellos. or do that weird autotune shit again, that hit just right honestly

I hope there won't be any unreleased songs on it. I'm tired of that and it feels like she has no inspiration at all to write something new.

Last night, Lana Del Rey celebrated Duke Nicholson's birthday with friends and family at Casa Vega Restaurant in Sherman Oaks, California. Lana recently celebrated her own birthday there in June. Duke is featured on the cover of Lana's record 'Norman Fucking Rockwell.' Other friends in attendance include Chuck Grant, Sveta Matiunina, Hunter Barker, Devon Lee Carlson, Craig Stark, and Luca.

honestly i kinda love the “plastic bag” lyrics she shared, they’re so different & i’m curious what the rest of the song is like, either it will end up being on the album, or it will leak in 2047

I know it’s probably not the direction of this next album (which I know I’ll love regardless) but I really would kill for more jazz undertones in the music, especially that of the Golden Age of Jazz, with ethereal choruses, lush orchestral sections, and of course, stacked harmonies in true Lana fashion. I have been thinking a lot about how much I love Shades of Cool and Honeymoon lately, and I just think she really sounds so natural and beautiful singing in a jazzier timbre. Her voice is so rich, it was just made for jazz.

so I listened to Violets For Roses and Beautiful (which are the two songs I've ranked lowest on BB) for the first time in forever and...... I felt... maybe they are not THAT bad? Not really the biggest fan of the lyrics but like... damn? Did I do these songs wrong in the past? edit: I thought I posted this in the Blue Banisters thread... sorry

Tbh if I ever end up on live with Lana, I WILL ask her about the Trash Magic lyric “used to go to the ????? where you’d buy me a slice of cherry pie” Truly THE greatest Lana lyrical mystery imo x

Days like today make me understand that one person on live with Lana in October who just kept asking her to clarify what lyrics actually are

i refuse to believe the album exists at all until she says something. this bitch loves snippeting her shit and talking about album titles and whatever and getting us thirsty for months like with NFR. i just can't let myself get hurt again........

"(Do You Ever Feel Like A) Plastic Bag?", her new song to be released, which is very heavily sampled by Katy Perry's "Firework"

Things could be so different if this hasn't happened... Also, Sky was tested and she was clean and leaved by the front door the next day, but no one even cared to write about that bc thrashing celebrities was funnier and gave them more clicks...

it's kinda incredible how it's been 2 and a half months since the W story and we still know next to nothing about this record. something tells me she's been keeping her circle small this time around. with all the secrecy around the record I just know it's going to be something new and surprising though. I feel like she wants to shock us a bit

After 7 years, this still remains my favourite title track, and one of her best songs. In the top 3 for sure 💐

She's currently creating something as iconic as Cult Leader. In 2030 we will hear the leak "________ (2022 demo)" and hail it like no other

Plus the (stunning) W Mag photoshoot was shot in Sands Point, Long Island (NY), which is the spot that inspired the setting in The Great Gatsby. So I really hope the aesthetic of the photoshoot matches the one of her next album—music wise at least. It’d be such a shame if it didn’t..

i am choosing to interpret this as katy perry heavily sampled lana’s plastic bag song which means the plastic bag song was actually written pre october 2010 and is a lizzy grant/early ldr bop

I still find Lana's stripped back music to be very cinematic. Cinematic doesn't have to mean grand production, even her simplest songs have a cinematic quality to them because of the style of her storytelling and performance. She always pulls me into a world in a way that most artists don't.

I can’t be the person to answer your question once and for all since I’m not even a native speaker, but I, too, got caught up in it last night and after watching some live performances, I’m convinced she sings: “White lines, pretty daddy, gold skin, You snort it like a champ, let the winter winter in” I hear it like this consistently in different live performances, so I don’t think it’s a lyric change for the day edit: maybe this would help, too Another edit: I’m 100% sure now that’s what she says. It’s very clear here.

I know it has been discussed to death but can someone confirm the Florida Kilos mess for me once and for all? Pretty daddy, gold skin (?) You snort it like a champ, like (?) A version I never really see is Pretty daddy goes "Kid, you snort it like a champ, like the winter we're not in" but it makes sense to me?? That's how I choose to sing it tbh because I like it the most. I'll accept anything except that shit about skiing. That's just a ridiculously stupid lyric, I'm sorry.
