Charli had an entire album scrapped and still managed to put out like two mixtapes and EPs worth of material outside of her label's influence whereas Sky is just twiddling her thumbs looking for dog walker gigs on Indeed and sulking about """""""""""label issues""""""""""""" Just saying

i have to admit, all this is making me very frustrated and sad. i’ve considered myself the biggest sky fan for the past several years and i don’t think i’ll ever turn on her, just because of how connected i feel to her music and as an artist. but even i have to admit a lot isn’t being told to her fans. whoever’s fault it is, capitol or sky, the fans that waited 9 years for 2 songs, deserve an explanation. i was so hopeful this would be the year masochism finally saw the light of day, but unfortunately i really do believe if all that momentum she got earlier this year, couldn’t get the album out there, we are truly never going to get it. i’ll always support sky and i’ll stream the album if it ever does come out but i don’t believe sending hateful comments and energy her way is the solution. i really hope we get some sort of clarity as to what is truly going on. at this point if she still can’t get the album out there, there is nothing else she can do to gain the support from her label so therefore she should just be 100% transparent for once instead of being vague and beating around the bush and then her fans could actually do something to help the situation. i love sky and i really hope we all make it to see the other side where the album has finally dropped.

Her stories suggest they kinda just ghost her instead of giving her a release date even though we know it’s been submitted so I guess that answers how they “block” the release? She complained about the same thing around this time last year about getting no date for Don’t Forget. Her vagueness over the years implied hostility/sensationalized the issue but now that we know it’s indifference from their behalf this isn’t hard to believe tbh?

Are people really surprised that the label doesn't want to release a third single of an album that isn't even finished yet? She should finish the album first and then plan a proper rollout. It's insane that she released Don't Forget, did this huge press tour, played at festivals all without having a plan to release the album.

I need you all to break free of the shackles. Capitol is probably stingy as hell, but Sky not having an album ready behind Don't Forget is unacceptable and stupid. It's been 9 years since NTMT. Be serious. Also... that string of live performances she did this year was nothing short of embarrassing. She was unprofessional (always late), kept having technical issues (although this is probably not on her,) and her performances were just... bad. She had to take All My Lovers Die out because she didn't sound good. It's all embarrassment on top of embarrassment (without even mentioning the Don't Forget video debacle.) I'll take whatever comes next, but at this point, getting excited for Sky Ferreira even pseudo-ironically is ridiculous. Life's too short

She’s messy and unreliable as we know but I understand her on this one. If Descending’s already been finished and submitted, I don’t see why she wouldn’t want to release what is potentially the best song thus far? The only other song submitted to Capitol as of August was “Descending”, she’s had enough time to turn in the actual album…my friend said he would let me know if he heard anything new regarding her & hasn’t told me anything since. She was recording at Capitol all throughout this year though, Pray For Rain was reworked

No shade but Sky’s videos aren’t very impressive/inventive to me (aside from YNTO) so she might as well skip the DF mv If she’s just gonna be singing along to it looking gorgeous in her gown and makeup, great but it doesn’t feel essential

Descending is (was) in fact the next single, that's why it wouldn't leak, for obvious reasons. This thread is the ONLY one from the music section that gets the HOT flair almost every week lol. I'm a huge fan, but she isn't coming. Please, stop getting sad/angry/annoyed over her, it's not worthy.
