Sooner or later the album will be released anyways. Whether it's named Lasso or not, whether it's released this year or 2025 or 2026. Not a year has passed since 2010 where Lana has not released music, so I don't think the drought will be that long long.

I don’t know what to think anymore whether it’s coming out in September/this year or not tbh. I do know I’d rather lana to take her time to create something she’s proud and passionate about. Her hesitation recently and comment about her lasso announcement reception makes me think she’s not sure how people will react. I’d rather her take her time to create another amazing masterpiece instead of rushing a September release for something she’s not confident about at the end of the day. She usually releases new albums every year and a half to 2ish years so it can’t be much later than spring 2025 either way

“A horse in Leeds” is an anagram for “Lasso reins here” which obviously means (second) official announcement at the Leeds show But honestly I wouldn’t be surprised if she thought the “reaction” to her first announcement during the Grammy’s event was “too tepid” (she said something in that regard) and decided to go back to the drawing board. Also, I’m not saying she necessarily cares all that much, but since the Lasso announcement we got “Beyoncé going country” and I think there are definitely going to be lots of think pieces around Lana and Beyoncé’s respective approaches to “going country” and I could see her wanting to avoid that. Altho I think that’s inevitable from the media regardless of how soon or far away the album release is…

i’m really curious to know what she’ll do next, she only signed a 2 album deal with atlantic this time, and I suspect she got a much better deal in regards to what she could release with how successful she was with this album she might get more freedom in how she actually releases music I don’t think teasing von dutch for what felt like an eternity was really a Charli way of doing things and she said she was annoyed of posting on social media this era is such a great example of letting artists do what they want, Charli knows pop culture she should have been allowed to do that before.
