37 likesyall the fact that within 2 years, 2019-2021, we got NFR (album) 14 tracks, one being a cover, 2 versions of one song (so 15 all together), also a 9 minute long fucking masterpiece PLUS, Looking For America, so 16 tracks all together Violet Bent Backward Over The Grass (book AND album) 14 tracks that are spoken word, but have accompanying music (which we don't have the instrumentals for....) COCC 11 tracks, one being a cover PLSU, we got Summertime - The Gershwin Version & You'll Never Walk Alone, so 13 tracks and now we're getting ANOTHER GODDAMN ALBUM Yall we need to be grateful she's doing so much right now. This woman seriously is doing everything she can to create more projects to share with us and expand her brand, even if it doesn't look like it with us. We can complain all we want about music videos being lackluster but FUCK what other artist out there is doing this much? Taylor Swift is doing a very similar thing, but she's at the point where she's re-releasing old music with new recordings. As much as I don't like TS, I can at least appreciate that she's working as hard as Lana is right now considering there's a fucking PANDEMIC GOING ON.... We've gotten a BOOK from Lana & 43 songs/tracks (poems included) at the same time and that doesn't even count all of this new album we're about to get PLUS there's an album of covers we know Lana was actually working on in November and another poetry collection still to come (she wanted it out earlier this year so I wouldn't be surprised if that drops soon.... but holy fuck sorry this was an essay but i had to share i'm so glad we stan Lana right now

29 likesi started an investigation and turns out that Jack likes every Lana post that has something to do with music they made together, he liked every cocc mv outtake, every random photo on set, every bts, every teaser but guess what he didnt like any of the posts regarding the new album and instead Mike came thru and liked all of them which means she finally fired and blocked that flop. Also the BB mv was recorded in late november aka the time she was working with Zach bye bye Jockstrap u wont be missed

28 likesI just don’t want this album to be underproduced 3 simple chords are just boring.

28 likesEclipse just said that the song is 4:54 long!!! also BlackOutZone: Title track is cute, it's something between I Don't Wanna Go and Yosemite, very light and simple though, 4:54 Btw Im pretty sure there is a leaked previously unreleased song on this album

23 likesBlue Bannisters is about how Sean still visits Clay and Lanas Bisexual Ranch every may for a menage et troi becuz hes their dom. Hence the cowboy hats and seans kinky mesh outfit on his ig. Every may he returns to represent Summer( also this is forshadowed in Wayamaya “I remember he came in May and we changed our names to Lana and Clay ( Clay is now Ray)) The question is whether Sean or Clay is Clementines father? Perhaps May is Seans visitation month? Anyway Lana demands that Sean actually paint her bannister blue this visit as last time they just dilly dallied around.

22 likesOkay so since there’s a lot of confusion about the album title and release date being changed, here’s what I think is the most logical thing that happened; 1. Rock Candy Sweet was the title that “summed up 18 months of [her] life” and was initially the album title, for release on June 1st. 2. The Blue Banisters video was already recorded on November 24, 2020, so it was likely always a defining song for her eighth album. 3. Somewhere between March 20th and April 10th, she changed her mind about what the title track should be and probably thought the sentiments of Blue Banisters best represented the journey of this album. It was also likely the title that came out of “having a close circle of country music friends”, so she was probably already bouncing between RCS and BB. 4. Perhaps due to the change of title, production for physicals only commenced once she decided it was going to be called Blue Banisters for sure (which was probably early April, since she posted the title first on April 10th). 5. 90 days from early April would be early July, namely July 4th, the new release date.

22 likesif we think of blue bannisters in terms of first single, i think this album is off to a really good start. lana always puts out some sort of ballad first (video games, honeymoon, hope, lmlylaw) but that doesn’t really define the sound of the album. the only thing that kinda bothers me is that blue bannisters is the title track, i know it’s gonna be really good but idk if it’s gonna be title track worthy so i guess we’ll wait and see. really wish she kept rock candy sweet as the album name though

22 likesMe, before snippet: I want light and summery jams. Me, after snippet: it’s the sad song I didn’t know I needed I love that we know nothing of this album. We have a lot of speculations, but no certainties. We don’t even know who the producer is, when it was recorded, even the main direction of the album. we now know the drill, ladies: 1- Shazam the damn snippet until it’s recognized; 2- send nudes to insiders in exchange for tangible info.

22 likesYou are all missing the point. We had Lana sing about her children AND CATS on HTD. One of the cats had small feature on the TJF snippet. I need more cat vocals, I need Niko to meow the chorus on Dealer.

21 likesWhen I think about the Blue Banisters snippet, I’m really, really reminded of her unreleased catalogue from 2013. Not only do I think of the Black Beauty demo, Fine China, Living Legend, Cherry Blossom, and Colour Blue sonically, but also lyrically. Blue Banisters could be a natural evolution to portray the flip-side of emotions she was feeling in those 2013 songs. I also think this album is going to contain direct parallels to Behind the Iron Gates. We obviously haven’t read the book yet, so we can’t rule out any similarities to COTCC, but she finished writing COTCC in February 2020 and didn’t finish Violet until late June 2020. I’m guessing she started writing Blue Banisters in the beginning of the pandemic (with Dealer) at the same time she started writing Behind the Iron Gates, posted QFTC, and shared Patent Leather Do-Over. That poem is so personal and beautifully crafted - I’m expecting a similar quality/nature/thematic content of lyricism on Blue Banisters, especially since she said in several interviews when Violet came out that her poetry writing while working on Behind the Iron Gates got better, as she stopped practising other things, but writing is writing - it’s bound to affect her songwriting positively too!

21 likesSo some thoughts here.... First and foremost I have not stopped listening to the snippet. As others have said "atmospheric" is such a great descriptor. It has that magic to me that I had kind of been missing. While I love/loved Chemtrails I can tell you that I'm already more excited for this release! It just feels different, it hits more. The air feels thicker around it. I am ready! The whole who produced debate.... Obv Mike Dean is involved but to what extent--whole album or some songs? Wouldn't be surprised if there was some involvement with title track but then again I also wouldn't be surprised if there is none and his involvement is on other tracks. I would absolutely love if Rick made a reappearance. As I've said before Lana and Rick have this really special connection that I just feel like creates and captures that "it" feeling. I'm expecting more than one producer. Most likely Zach and Mike, so excited for Zach. Would not be surprised if Antonoff has some credits as well but it is obv to me he is not largely involved. As for his involvement with BB title track, I'd say if anything it is just the piano chords. There is def another producers hands on this, it is so much fuller and more atmospheric than the regular Lana/Jack piano ballad. I have a feeling that RCS and possibly dealer will be some of the more "upbeat" tracks on the album. Love to hear that the song is a good length! It gives it sufficient time to really build up, hit you, and pull you in! As far as the unreleased, def think Cherry Blossom is a very likely candidate considering its recent tease but can we imagine Wild One, gosh that would be so amazing! This snippet really fits with Color Blue, ITTJ, FC, and YTH but I just love Wild One so much and think it would fit so well. Okay done with the lengthy post, very excited for us to get more info! Ready to have all these questions answered, even though the speculation is part of the fun!

21 likesthat's a bit of a reach, High by the beach, Music to watch boys to, Love, Fuck It I love You/The Greatest and Chemtrails were all great music videos. fun fact, I still occasionally see HBTB music video on VH1 Europe's TV channel lol. Even LFL music video is cute imo (yeah ok cancel me) those damn NFR iphone videos really got us reaching and thinking all of her mvs are shit which isn't true at all

21 likesJust caught up with all this hmmmm, I really hope Blue Bannisters has some spice in it at some point in the song, but I get the feeling that, especially with this album title, that once again everything will be a stripped down style Buuut on the positive side, at least an album is really coming! So soon too, and I'm sure there'll be at least a few really good songs as there always are on each album even if it's not a favourite ?

20 likesI still stand by my opinion that I want to hear lyrics about something else than everyday life, and Blue Banisters kiiinda still has that? But so far it sounds more like a sad love song than “yay let’s laugh over a coffee!” so I’m here for it, and I still think it’s gonna grow into something bigger and even more beautiful.
