Wait... I didn't know people hated WCE that much. It's not her most exciting song production wise but I don't see nothing wrong with it ? All the instruments sound nice and everything is well put together. If the problem is the melody or the lyrics that's not the producer's fault Same with Beautiful. The tingling piano is beautiful gorgeus and the only problem was the clipping on the chorus when it was uploaded (on some platforms only) so I don't know if it was the audio engineer fault (which I don't think was Drew anyway) I feel like some people hate on producers just cause they happen to not like a song they worked in when Lana is the one writing 99% of the lyrics and the melodies. Sorry for the little rant but every time we get album news instead of excitement half of the post are complaining about x or y (of course it's valid cause it's a discussion forum but it's always the same "jack bad", "piano flops" "BB boring" "Drew unprofessional"). And I'm also guilty of that of course. I wanted to file a formal petition for Jack to never touch a piano again but I decided it's better to let things flow and see what Ms. Lanita brings us this time

There's something (LDR9) in the wind... I can feel it blowing in... It's coming in softly, on the wings of Jack Antonoff and Drew Erickson..

Anybody hopes we have a track like that on the album since she's working with him? It's a shame she barely posted about being featured in this, the darkwave/electro sound fits her vocals so well.... Bands like Boy Harsher and Lebanon Hanover have a sound that would fit her really well, not sure if most pop fans would like it but i bet she digs it.

tbh XCX World had to die in order for Charli to gain the success she has today XCX World died so CRASH could be born and thrive

At the end of the day, Charli’s worst songs remain better than most other artists’ best songs.

Me breaking into the studio so I can force Jack to use the instrumentation style he used on Violet, the brass he used on Dance Til We Die and the guitars he used on Venice Bitch and The greatest

Just realized parallels between Lock You Up and Twice! two of her best imo “Nothing says tomorrow is a guarantee There's no way of knowing that you'll be with me As I walk upon the edge of no escape In the world so flat” “Nothing is forever Lucky to remember All the things I love are gonna leave me One day, you're never gonna be there”

This constant Charli slander is so unoriginal and uninspired, at it's highest high there's outstanding pop tracks at their lowest lows they're just fun bops/cute ballads, you gays always do the most

Can we talk about how this is basically the first time she herself acknowledged making new music post BB. Everything else came from Rob or someone else

Perhaps Jack is merely sitting in the co-producer's chair, which is actually where he should be.

The fact that Charli played a sold out show at the Greek Theater, in the Hollywood Hills, on the night of The Grammy’s… Iconic behavior, I’d say…

It’s true about Honeymoon. I guess later is better than never, but I’m so glad it’s finally getting its flowers. Before very recently, though, it was a very small portion of fans on here that loved the record! I specifically remember me and like, 4 other members congregating in the HM thread about 4 or 5 years ago, and now it seems almost everyone adores the album! I love the Honeymoon renaissance. 💐

I officially became a Lana fan a little less than a year and half after Honeymoon was released, and even then, most people I saw didn't like the album or said it was their least favorite. I really don't remember seeing people appreciating Honeymoon so much until 2020

Insider's silence probably means they know nothing (yet) about the album or future releases. I don't think they are holding on to any info they could have to not spoil it cause their attention craving is too strong to care about those things Boz talked about WCE as soon as he got his hands on it, before even knowing the release date so...

Manifesting an album that has actual instrumentals but without the pretentious production of NFR/COCC/BB. I’ve been thinking about how great a RHCP inspired (like NFR was meant to be..) album would sound. So, heavy instrumental and clear vocals but with straightforward production. I don’t want any songs that credit seventeen instruments but you can only pick out a distinct piano and slight guitar, then the rest just merge into a minimal beat in the background. I wouldn’t even mind a piano heavy album if the songs sounded like French Restaurant - a firm instrumental with straightforward production, vocals and piano are both very clear. imo, Lana has let the production of the albums overshadow her own songwriting skills. Her melodic ability is far beyond anyone else’s (imo) and I just want that to shine through again.
