Is it me or does Ben sound genuinely excited about the album? His posts - and spamming under Lana's IG posts, lol - back in May + his recent post about the album being nearly completed + his reply to Lana yesterday and the interaction with fans...I don't know. I know she's his client, but his enthusiasm feels quite genuine this time round. Anyway, hoodies + DNC jacket + Donoghue + tits out + automatic singing + orchestra + waves + IDGAF attitude + spending time with family + Rob sneaking into the studio + Antonoff and 808s = ??? Whatever LDR9 ends up sounding like, it's going to be a ride.

Hating on SYTH is so last year. Come up with something better!

i agree, lmao the fact lana has literally never not changed an album title before it has come out—Nevada -> AKA, The Revenge of Lana Del Rey -> Born to Die, Melancholia -> Ultraviolence, Music to Watch Boys To -> Honeymoon, Best American Record -> Lust for Life, Bird World -> Norman Fucking Rockwell, White Hot Forever -> Chemtrails Over the Country Club, Rock Candy Sweet -> Blue Banisters—something tells me that whatever DNC is was probably the album title at one point but it is long dead now

I think "lanaboards" is just the go-to source for twitter "insiders" and update accounts when they make something up at this point Maybe I missed it but I swear nobody has said anything remotely similar to that (even though an ice statue of Lana would be a serve so now I want it)

When I was the one who started that rumor after calling LDR9 busty

no more unreleased songs on the album UNLESS it's like one (max 2) songs and theyre reworked at least as good as thunder... if not, scrap them. i dont want another BB situation, she ruined the whole album for me with these 3 poor quality leaks in a row. I love these songs but on the album they feel like i accidentally stopped playing itunes and opened some random twink's soundcloud LDR playlist. and BB was actually promising to be a really good record based on all the *new* material that was included in it and the chances of her putting leaked songs as they are on the web are actually much higher than her reworking them, so PLEASE be careful what you ask for unless its something we've never heard before like if you lie down with me (which sounded really good and fresh in the tracklisting) AND maybe RCS/loved you then and now loved cocc, bb was also ok (ex obvious reasons) but we dont need another halfassed album thats all im saying this time we need something big and revolutionary because babygurl has all the eyes on her with these streaming numbers, the expetations are HUGE now thank you bye

The trolls made some points! Her worst album, has no business being her nr1 user rated album! What we should be focusing on is how the gorgeous showstopping Born to Die is her lowest user rated album. Literally criminal. But at the end of the day metacritic really doesn't mean anything, because in what world are Blue Banisters and Lust for Life better albums than Ultraviolence and Born to Die? Not this one!

A fan account on Twitter had an interesting theory about the swan emoji from her last IG post: what if that post is the « Swan song » / last post on her HM account and the next post, she’ll reactivate her LDR main account? of course it would mean that she’d have to - gasp - have planned that ahead and it wouldn’t change (and we all know we don’t Stan Taylor at this point )

My semi realistic wishes/wants for LDR9 are moody, introspective, smoldering, spacey. Honestly these vibes can be achieved with different types of production. Hoping for something a little more grand orchestral wise with some ambient synths with some moments of jazziness. Either way we shall see. Hoping we get real info soon. Hoping the Neil thing is related but I think it’s most likely something in relation to his own work, non Lana related. The image is very reminiscent of his spirit collection.
