27 likesi’m still so transfixed by OceanBlvd … i find myself wanting to play it over and over again all day. i’m enjoying having this treasure knowing in a few months we will have much more music to enjoy & obsess over & i hope we all can appreciate how magical this song is…. it’s back to the lyricism of “throwing a punch” & making people’s minds spin in disbelief and amazement of how truly gifted a songwriter she is! it’s also so nice as a fan to have such beautiful / timeless / vintage aesthetics this era. to share and brag about. it makes me so excited as a fan for whatever this new era holds !

21 likesI'm so happy BOZ said that the album is a full experience. It seems like it has variety but it will be cohesive or has a good flow. Really excited & I decided to not to listen to other singles if she releases some.Gimme the first listen full experience collapseIt's gonna be not easy to resist but that means around 75 minutes of new Lana music since I heard the title track & the album being almost 80 minutes long

19 likesThis is a rumour I just made up solely based on the fact that The Weeknd just retweeted a video on his twitter about Lana and him talking about each other sksk. But like think about it… If you were The Weeknd and you’re producing an HBO show about a popstar having a breakdown and joining a cult or whatever the fuck it’s about, who’s one of the first female artists you’d have in mind for the soundtrack? Lana Del Rey obvs. Also Sam Levinson the creator of Euphoria’s involved and already got Lana on the Euphoria soundtrack AND she submitted more than one song for Euphoria allegedly so perhaps one of them got used for The Idol hmmm… It makes a lot of sense to me IDK! I got absolutely no other reason to believe this will happen tbh it’s been a slow week. Thoughts?

17 likesFor this new music, there’s none of that at all. It’s more just like: I’m angry. The songs are very conversational. For the first song, I pressed record and sang, “When I look back, tracing fingertips over plastic bags, I think I wish I could extrapolate some small intention or maybe get your attention for a minute or two.” It’s a very wordy album. So there’s no room for color. It’s almost like I’m typing in my mind. There's almost no color in Ocean Blvd either, I feel like she's accurately described an album for once

16 likesI think Lana knows the tunnel is a cruising spot and it’s part of the metaphor. Hear me out: Lana thinks that after NFR!, her career highs are over (her frustration with COCC, the many outtakes and clumsiness of BB). Just like the tunnel, the height of her career is over. However, unlike her (yet), the tunnel has been rejuvenated via sites like Sniffies and Squirt. It can also be interpreted to be in reference to her love life. “When’s it gonna be my turn? Open me up” refers to the tunnel being sealed up and forgotten (like Lana herself) but then later being opened up, where people are still finding love and pleasure. Lana sings “when’s it gonna be my turn?”, asking when someone’s going to come and open her up, finding love within her. Just my interpretation❤️
