37 likesLana: I think the biggest lesson that I’ve learned is that there is no lesson in these hard lessons, you just have to let it go. Not everything is going to be revealed as to why weird things happen. However, I do have a theory that if you’re trying your best and you’re willing to let go of things that you feel don’t serve the greater good of your value system, then I think you’ll always be in the right place at the right time. If you’re teetering on the edge of doing something that’s against your value system, it’s like, be careful of where angels fear to tread, they might not be able to reach you.

26 likesHi, new here. I don't expect to post a lot but I really just wanted to add something positive in the mix. I've been a fan since 2011 and would never have expected to still be so invested in her by 2023. All her albums have been such amazing entries in her catalogue, it's incredible how prolific she is and how the quality is always up there. That said, I feel like this new album is her best, and to those who want to dismiss that opinion by saying "Oh that's just initial adrenaline" or something patronizing like that, it's not. I enjoyed her previous 2 a lot but they didn't match my absolute adoration I had for albums like "BTD", "Honeymoon" and NFR. This one definitely does match those for me. It's such a wonderful journey from beginning till end, it feels like one big warm yet emotional hug and I love the diversity. I'll post a ranking after I heard the album in full HQ friday, I haven't heard CN yet. I just wanted to share the love for this album, cause it deserves it.

26 likes‘Fingertips’ is not a good song or a big song but it definitely explains everything. I felt like that was important because everyone was always like [whispers] explain yourself. And I was like, ‘Okay, let me do this really quickly, I’ll tell you everything I’m thinking in two minutes in a seven minute song and just rip through it and edit it.’ That song kind of says it all. Between that song and ‘Wildflower Wildfire’ on Blue Banisters, you can get a lot [whispers and laughs] of everything. and this is why I will not stand for any Fingertips slander

22 likessome random thoughts: i genuinely think a&w is one of her best songs of all time. it’s a song that i physically can’t get tired of and it still sounds like it came out yesterday and not 5 weeks ago. it’s truly a work of art, i can’t get over it!!! when this album drops, i hope more and more people realize how incredible lana actually is because she definitely lost her spark in the eyes of the gp with her last two albums. i hope this album lures them all back in, because it deserves so much and it’s one of her best work ever. i say this as a hardcore ultraviolence stan (before this album i believed nothing can touch uv), ocean boulevard is her best album. that’s all

22 likesthis has been said to death but A&W's instrumental (especially the first part) is one of her most beautiful everrr the swelling at "doesn't really REALLY matter" orgasmic. the build up and release before the second verse literally insane. the xylophone tinks in the third verse the collapse. and with her melodies overtop DAMN its just soooo good im obsessed

21 likesYeah the UK reviews thing was a fucking mess. What the hell. The way her label doesn't respect her craft? Such an intimate record and they make some improvised listening event with reviewers eating popcorn and taking bathroom breaks. Ugh. Anyway, "My pastor told me..." is one of the most haunting Lana moments vocally.

20 likesAt times, it’s like stumbling on a playlist of the best classical arrangements of centuries past, save for Lana’s charismatic voice, which purrs and trills in and out of time with the piano on ‘Candy Necklace’, as if enraptured. https://www.attitude.co.uk/culture/music/lana-del-rey-did-you-know-that-theres-a-tunnel-under-ocean-blvd-review-428719/

19 likesYou stan kpop artists whose discographies all sound the same but go off i guess sis edit: maybe i shouldn't be mean. sorry, it's late and i'm sleepy. off to bed. edit #2: i will say though, i do think that it's unfair to say half of the album should've been axed. i'll give you the interludes, but the rest of the album serves it's purpose. ironic coming from someone whose username is an axed song edit #3: sorry, i'm actually going to bed this time. i'm not trying to be mean

18 likesi feel like to an extent its a defensive thing. just like when she said most of her unreleased are objectively bad or that she didn't want anyone to hear blue banisters. like it seems like she's more outwardly critical about her music that's very personal. almost like it would hurt more for people to drag her music the more personal it is so she beats them to the punchline so if someone says fingertips is a bad song or that blue banisters isn't worth listening to or that her unreleased songs are unreleased bc they suck, she can be like "well i already said that first so i don't care!" almost like her "the reviews aren't aupposed to be good" from the other day

18 likesguys, i have a theory about the surprise BOZ was talking about, and i know it sounds crazy but, could it possibly be a special live session on Disney+? it seems that Disney+ has been getting big artist with new releases to do these and it wouldn't be too far fetched since Lana covered OUAD for Maleficent. it would honestly be a dream come true and i think Lana would do great because it wouldn't technically be "live" television. i think it would be very intimate!
