Just leaving this here so it can live on in history. I’ll forever be in shambles that Lana teased this lyric to me over a YEAR ago. I didn’t quite understand what she meant by it at the time, but now… I get it… x

Whew. Fingertips is a lot to handle all at once. This is definitely her rawest, most personal, confessional song to date. It's incredible. It's a musical poem, or a page ripped out of a late-night journal entry spilling out all the thoughts overwhelming you at once. There's a lot to unpack, that I'm struggling to find what to say, except for that I'm so incredibly proud of her for being brave enough to share this so boldly with us. Her storytelling will always be unmatched, even when it's non-fiction. In fact, that makes it even better. She's not afraid to hold back anymore. Let it all out, babe. We're listening. Now onto Paris, Texas - another instant favourite from the listening party x

Candy Necklace is so stunning. I knew this was going to be an amazing song from the first snippet we ever heard of it, and this is another track that greatly exceeded my expectations which were already high to begin with. To me, it does feel massive. You can hear the passion in her voice build as the song progresses with the production doing the same perfectly in tow. It has jazzy elements, haunting elements, almost unsettling in a way.. but that good kind of discomfort that you crave more of. This was the one I was most excited to hear again after the listening party, and this second listen lived up even better than my memory of it. Another instant favourite. Now to the Jon Batiste Interlude.. x

A&W is truly a masterpiece. One of the best works of art she's ever created. It just contains so much. Who knew a song could make me dance, cry, contemplate, reminisce, and every other emotion in between all at once?? Songs like this prove that Lana is truly a genius and unlike any other artist. An instant fave I can see ranking among my top favourite Lana songs until the end of time. Now onto the first interlude, Judah Smith.. x

I shared it here before in more detail during the Pre-Release, but I formed such a core memory with the title track that I'll always carry with me. In short, I gained the news of three deaths within 24 hours just days after the song's release, one of which being my dear friend Candy that I had met through the Lana community that passed on the day of the song's release, a man in a car accident I was stuck behind in an Uber with my girl while we were blasting this song on repeat waiting for the traffic to clear, and the death of my friend's husband when I signed onto Facebook for the first time in years to attend Candy's livestream funeral. It was very overwhelming, and re-listening to this song floods me with the same emotions I had within that 24-hour span. I felt like those 3 people were very clearly trying to tell me not to forget them before I even knew they were gone. Their message was received loud and clear, and I'll never forget hour span. I'll always think of those three while listening to this song. Such an emotive song. Onto Sweet, my first new track from the record!! (aside from my initial listening party listen) x

Wow. I can't believe I just finished my first personal listen of the record. I know it's so soon, but I'm already ready to declare this as her best album. Though Ultraviolence will always be my personal favourite mostly because I have so many memories with it and meaning built into the songs over the past 9 years, it's undeniable that this record is an absolute masterpiece. So much was said. So much was done! There was a great variety - it was raw, personal, unexpected, even shocking at times! A jaw-dropper in multiple ways. Again, I've been awake for over 40 hours now so I apologise if this post and my live-listen reactions sounded kind of jumbled and worded poorly, but I think even if I had been well-rested it still wouldn't have improved my ability much to find what to say. I have so many thoughts that I can't yet articulate. This record is a lot to take in, in a very good way. Right now, really all I can say is wow. Wow wow wow. Miss Del Rey has done it again, always outdoing herself. I'll have to come back here later today to write my full thoughts and of course give my ranking after a couple more listens, actually probably in a week for that since already I have no idea how I'm even going to begin ranking these songs. Seriously, at the listening party I kept going "oh, this is my new favourite" and I felt the same way after this personal listen. Love her. Love the record. Love you guys. I can't believe we're finally here. It's a beautiful day to be a Lana fan, as is almost every day x

Okay umm.. i have officially just listened to the entire record (after not having heard any singles or even snippets) and i .. um ... okay.. i want to THROW UP ma'am.. spAre paper towels??? first of all... ok this will not be my review because im a little ok prety.. very drunk and high.. and sumn else but this was too much.. but i have some issues that really pissed me off with some of ya'lls comments after having heard it.. why were ya'll saying jacks voice was bad? i literally heard nothing wrong.. that song is stunning. and maybe i just love alt music too much and am a little numb to "abstract" shit but the judah smith was kinda beauiful, like stream "the god" or some of ethel cains music cus this shit is childs play you little bitches(yea u fag boz) .. either way i fucking loved it.. and it wasn't scary like stop being .. ?? !11 i was so fuckoing gAGGED BY FISHTail and pEPPERS!!! PLEASE.. these songs are sp good.!! absolotely not one bad song on this album like, i cant think of a bad song, every track felt so estabalished, and even my high ass couldn't figure out a fault, this is literally any true lana stan could ask for in terms of QUALITY, idk what else a hater could want, its probably justt the fans that became fans since" norman" that dont like it because this is LANA in her back to basics form and im going to CUM YES GIRLIES ok real review coming when i sober up <3

What an incredible way to end a record. You know, pretty early on in the pre-release I predicted that the closing track would be one of the wordier ones, taking the final minutes to get out all that she wanted to say before it came to a close. Though I was somewhat wrong, I'd also like to think that I was somewhat right. Sometimes there really isn't more to be said, except for what already has been said. I think motioning that sentiment by repeating the care-free, fun-loving lines of Venice Bitch that we already know and love with some new ad-libs is brilliant. She said so much on this record - she got raw, she got personal - more than ever before, in my opinion. So, why not close the whole thing by shaking the heaviness off and transitioning into a remix of one of her most iconic songs? I think by not saying anything more at all and rather choosing to reminisce on a lighter note, she silently reiterated some of the most important lyric lessons that she wanted to stress from the record - "I'm meaning to say, that there's nothing to do except know that this is how the light gets in" "I give myself two seconds to breathe and go back to being a serene queen. I just needed two seconds to be me." "When you’re home, you’re home (Venice, California)" "It's not about having someone to love me anymore, this is the experience of being an American Whore" "When you leave all you take is your memories, and I’m gonna take mine of you with me" So by saying nothing new at all, she really said so much. Again, this whole record contained so much personal storytelling, and I just think this is the perfect sendoff. Sort of a, here was my story, now it's over, let's have fun. I also love the Taco Truck section of the song and while I do wish it was its own song, I think it transitions so well into Venice Bitch. I think I may even prefer this rendition to the original. Also, I'm still dying at the fact she teased a lyric from this song to me over a year ago. No, I'm never going to shut up about it x

The Wait for Life melody sample in Sweet amazed me. That's one of my favourite melodies, and I'm glad she held onto it and gave it a nod in this song. Delicate, sweet, beautiful, a classic Lana ballad track. Now onto the iconic A&W that I've already listened to 120 times this year already, but still hasn't gotten old.. x

Here's the racer jacket! I ordered a large and it's very big on me, but I like it because it's more comfortable! I think this is my favorite piece of Lana merch I own and I am SO happy I got it! I It feels pretty high-quality, though I don't have anything to compare it to because I've never ordered a jacket from her. I am so happy it arrived today and I'll be wearing it all weekend. Also, thank you to everyone who told me how to upload these. Took some trial and error, but I finally got it.

I truly love Margaret. I know this track was one that people were less-excited for, but I didn't have any particular expectations about it. I also really love Jack & Lana's voices together, and the fact that they're so close makes the sentiment of this song even sweeter. A love song for a friend about his love. This is another one that makes me smile and want to sway around with friends or a love, just taking in that sweet moment of knowing when you know! Sometimes it really is as simple as that. When you know you know. & if you don't know, that's okay too, it'll eventually find you! I also love the sing-song-spoken outro.. so fun. This would be a great song to hear live from the two of them at a cozy venue. The instrumental outro is also stunning. It reminds me of something I'd hear at the end of a happily-ever-after film, and I mean that in a good way. Now onto Fishtail.. x

I think others already said this but I love the part in Taco Truck x VB where she says "I know that you hate me" almost saying it directly to the critics And then the song goes into Venice Bitch and its like she's forcing them to remember how much they loved NFR...its genius really

Something about Paris, Texas, though simple in lyrics, evokes an emotion in me I can't explain.. maybe it's the voice, maybe it's the melody, maybe it's the venue. I think this song perfectly encapsulates rediscovering your life after being lost and finding yourself once more - discovering what is truly right for you, even if it's not what you initially wanted. I also just want to point out, this song reminds me a lot of the style of music I listened to before I discovered Lana in 2012. Jem, Regina Spektor, Inara George.. so in a way, maybe that's what's hitting me - the nostalgia. Either way, for some reason I didn't have the highest expectations for this song for whatever reason, but wow. It's incredible. Those high notes are done so effortlessly too. Another top favourite. Now onto Grandfather... x

I'm somehow even more excited for the Candy Necklace video than I already was. Using the screen test as a visualizer is such a cool idea. It really reminds me of Marilyn Monroe's screentest for Something's Got To Give mixed with something straight out of a 1930s-40s noir film

"You wanted me sadder,” she sadly, sadly breathes on a sad little song about a man sadly not turning up for a date, and I wonder if there is anyone on earth who really does want her sadder? Indeed, is it possible to be any sadder than Lana Del Rey in a blue mood?" oh i just know he is an incel

The Jon Batiste Interlude works as a great outro to Candy Necklace.. though that first "Oh!" is a bit alarming and definitely scared some people at the listening party (me included) it's so cool to hear a little of the behind-the-scenes process of making the song. I love that she included this for us. Now onto Kintsugi.. x

Ugh, The Grants is such a sweet and touching track. Such a beautiful sentiment dedicated to her family & their lives. Onto the title track next, which never fails to floor me x

This album is an ointment, an antimicrobial, a sanitizer, a dewormer, a vitamin, an IV, a pain killer, a bong hit, a laxative, a shot of peptobismal, a tums, a muscle soother, propecia, and so much more.

I love the story she's telling with these city names belonging to a different country Paris, Texas Florence, Alabama Venice, California in a song where she questions if she belongs to that place or not

This album isn’t an album for ugly bitches. Its for hot girls and gays. You aren’t gonna get it if you’re basic: go to the beverly center and listen to miley. This is for artists and dreamers and sexy weird people who are into philosophy and hot sex and being sad and aesthetic. Sexy piano bops arent for ugly girls. If you can’t shake your ass to these you probably just can’t shake your flat ass at all. Anyway this is magnus opus. Sayonara im about to drive up the coast and blast this because Im hot and deep and maybe a little shallow. Happy streaming

Finished my second listen of the album.. and the sleep deprivation is now hitting me. I wish I could stay up all night listening to this record over and over, but a 42hr streak is about as much as my body can handle LOL. Again as I said earlier, I’m already ready to declare this her best record. It’s a masterpiece. So much substance, so much to unpack.. so I’ll be back later today to share more thoughts! I can’t wait to read all of yours’ too. & of course the new site visuals will also be arriving later today as well! Happy, happy, happy release day everyone.. sending all my love to my fellow Lipsters. I hope you all enjoy this magical day. Goodnight

i know a lot of people will trash the autotune on fishtail (as they did with tulsa jesus freak) but i think it's a pretty valid experimentation for lana. i'm all for trying new things: new producers, new techniques, new beats and i think this album as a whole suceeded a lot in that aspect
