I think people here forget how manic we become when she officially announces an album… and it’s coming out in like 5-6 months Cigarettes After Sex got their preorder and first single out in February for a July 12 release; we got the second single 10 days ago. Although both singles are amazing, even though this spring is packed with major releases, I can’t help but feel CAS’s pre-release is dragging on… Same would happen with Lana. i mean, OB era, which was one of the shortest pre-release eras ever: we pressed Kintsugi and BoZ for every crumble of detail and as far as I can tell, neither of them is anywhere in sight for info this time around, which would make a very dry pre-release era… My wish is for something like Billie did but with singles: announcement and preorder for a short pre-release, one single or two before the album, 2-3 months max.

Seeing Lana, from Chemtrails, flirting with the country little by little, to this day with her attending music festivals and wearing country fashion on a daily basis makes me think that this project could perhaps turn out to be the best-crafted aesthetic project since Born To Die. Like, you clearly see that she's just as excited as before. It's not good to create expectations, because it could actually come up with something more intimate and simple. But, just like her debut, seemingly harmless at first, her country debut can definitely reinvent the wheel.

do you guys think the photoshoot of this album is already taken? Because if it isn't the case I feel like Lana is going to look very cunty because she's been serving looks lately.

as a gen-z lana del rey fan, i apologize on the behalf of the more recent, annoying fans! although i am an older gen-z and i've been a fan for around 8 years at this point so i'm certainly not new to her, she's definitely settled into my identity, but even at 13 when i was a new fan, i wasn't annoying about her or saw her as just simply an aesthetic like i believe some fans unfortunately do, she's always been associated with aesthetics, which i think makes sense, since her music's very visual and she does incorporate a lot of beautiful visuals in her work, back in the mid-2010s, people associated her with tumblr, tumblr grunge, etc. and now she's primarily associated with the coquette aesthetic (which i do not understand, obviously her music's very glamourous and outwardly feminine energetically, but i just do not think of white, pink, lace, hearts, and bows when i listen to songs like pretty when you cry or body electric, i think more gentle, whimsical songs like video games and sweet sound coquette though) i feel like people just see her as something trendy and aesthetic instead of multi-faceted artist who should be seen for what they actually are and taken seriously, it's the same thing with all of the stupid, tired jokes regarding cocaine, sugar daddies, and roses with cigarettes hanging out of them... they never applied to her before and they never will, her art means so much more, even back when i was a teenager it bothered me and i knew her music was much more than that, i feel i always understood it, and i feel a lot of people just don't and it frustrates me oh, and i also hate it when people joke about how listening to lana del rey at a young age made them a mess or something like that, her music isn't a bad influence, i started listening to her at 13 and it only made my life better because i love the music and it means something to me, it isn't lana's fault that you're a hot mess express

Tbh I don’t care or mind if it’s delayed. Music so far this year has been SO solid that I’m not itching for new Lana. If she wants to take time to perfect the album, she absolutely should. I love how she has really fleshed out her look/aesthetic. This is the first time in YEARS that she actually looks like the music she is about to release. my only hope for this era is an album trailer. I know a lot of artists don’t really do them anymore, but her album trailers have ALWAYS been next level, and she had big ideas for the Ocean one before the robbery. This album being her first ‘concept’ album in years deserves a world building album trailer

absolutely this!! Our little bubble is hyper aware of Lasso’s existence, but the album is far from being announced. I truly think the days of her announcing an album with a super long, drawn out pre release is over. LFL I don’t blame her, because Love leaked super early and the album wasn’t even ready for yet. NFR was mentioned in September of 2018, and didn’t released until August 2019, COTCC was announced in May 2020 and ended up releasing March 2021, both almost a year later. BB had multiple release dates and a lot of silence, and was out 6 months later. Ocean I think is the almost perfect scenario. Announced something was happening and then released the first single with preorder. Granted even THAT ended up getting delayed, so it makes sense they aren’t announcing Lasso yet because this far out they probably don’t even know when it’s coming
