It kind of reminds me of the NFR "Surf Shop" merchandise launch which I found to be a little underwhelming. I did end up buying a Cinnamon Girl hoodie. But when it finally arrived like 7 million months after I ordered it, I'd already forgotten about it. Then it didn't even fit me , so I ended up giving it to a friend of mine. I wish the wooden box sets were signed or something if she's only doing a limited run of them. I wish she would offer stuff like signed bookmarks and signed book plates for the poetry books. Look I understand collecting vinyl, well designed t-shirts, even her bad (imo) poetry but that box is a clear as day rip-off I dread to think of how much it actually cost to produce and the mark up. Edit- I've done some research and looked up each product that is close as possible to the actual contents. sorry, but wanting to deny somebody human rights is not a political belief. we can disagree about budgeting and the debt ceiling or whatever, but i have zero obligation to forgive anyone -- including some of my own family members -- for voting for a person who does not believe in protecting the rights of marginalized people and refuses to denounce violence and hate. it takes an amazing amount of privilege to tell others to "forgive" people who actively vote someone into office who seeks to strip you of your rights and encourage bigotry. after my father told me he sees nothing but "disaster and ruin" for my brother and i, his two queer kids, simply because we are queer, and then voted for donald trump, a man who would love nothing more than to see those very words come to fruition, i think i'm allowed to pass on the whole forgiveness thing.

as someone who is always carefully watching her restocks it’s always 50/50. nfr was weird because they restocked pieces at different times, and some things like the surf shop were limited to exactly how many were bought. i’m sure if they wanted to manufacture 200 they could have, is what i’m kind of thinking. consider the fact that in retail the manufacturing cost of an item is normally around half or less of what it’s sold for, so maximum i bet they spent 5,000 on all them. she has literally millions of fans, so why did they only make 100? she literally could have limited them to 500 and they still would have sold out. it’s just a really weird number to limit them to imo :/ but i’ve never ran a merch team so fuck knows honestly. also consider the mess with things like the necklaces too. she was just randomly restocking that shit over the course of three years. then she has things that are on her web store for five minutes and then we never see them again basically if anyone is debating buying something i would just do it cause this p*ta honestly makes her fans run around for her merch too much
