If she doesn’t rework Valley of The Dolls into the gargantuan album opener it DESERVES to be, I’ll flip out. Lisyen… the demo of that song is so atmospheric and charged with unhinged emotion… can you imagine her singing “TAKE… THE GUN… AND PUT IT! TO! MY! HEAD!!! SO I CAN FORGET AGAINNNNNNN” in the very first song of the new album… I would literally pass out She literally has nothing to prove at this point. She’s showed she can be a trailblazer, a poet, the best lyricist working today, a reclusive songstress, an auteur who perfectly blends art pop and commercial trends without every compromising her vision which by itself is so unique… at this point, she can start doing some weird experimental shit and everyone will eat it up. Take a 2 year break, create something chaotic and visceral, send the middle fingers to everyone in the industry and do whatever the hell you feel like it without polishing anything. Your fans will be here for you regardless - and your peers will pay attention and borrow inspiration from it. You’re one of a kind, Lana! Come on now

DNC - Dick Not Cummin' her horny pussy pop era is upon us

I hope in the future she'll take more creative input from other professionals. Her effort to write/direct/design/etc. is commendable, and she's done a lot of amazing things. But I feel like some of her projects suffer from her want to do it all herself. It's one thing when she's directing personal music videos, it's another thing when it's a worldwide release with a $6M backing from her record label. For instance, bringing in experienced screenwriters and directors for K-12 probably would have made the film a lot more cohesive and garnered more attention from a wider audience. It definitely would have received better reviews and made back more money. I also wonder if Atlantic lowered the budget for the next release, considering she's been saving money that was meant for other videos. Regardless, I'm sure she can do something great with time and effort. I'm just hoping she learned from the mistakes in K-12. I can tell she's ready to move on to a new era, and I'm ready to see it. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it's her best project yet.

Ugh YESSS. That song is so good

This album is so special…. I just wish the back half was a little stronger. Turn For Free into a solo song with the damn saxophone outro the original has and add a couple stronger songs in the second half of the album and you have a folk masterpiece. The soundscape of this one is so cohesive and intimate… I don’t think it’s as good as Honeymoon is (still her album with the best production she’s ever done, hands down) but it’s up there in terms of cohesion and flow. It deserved more investment, a better standard cover (my signature would have been perfect!!!) and a deeper look at the themes and aesthetic she presented with that fascinating Interview Mag video essay she did!

Chemtrails is definitively my favortite album to sing along too From the whispery white dress vocal to the barritone voice of wild at heart to trying to mimick the duet on breaking up slowly it's just so fun !!! I litterally cannot listen to this record without singing

I’m up at night with pain and on klonopin and Chemtrails is really hitting right now… it’s such a cozy intimate album. Sounds amazing on headphones. It might not be her strongest, lyrically, but there is an atmosphere that deserves recognition. Only Lana can do that.
