28 likesYesterday, Lana Del Rey stopped to take a picture with a fan while out at the Golden Triangle shopping area in Beverly Hills, California. The Golden Triangle is iconic for its luxury shopping boutiques, such as Gucci, Versace, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Prada, Dior, Hermés, Cartier, Chanel, Bvlgari, Burberry, Balenciaga, Jimmy Choo, Tiffany & Co, and Dolce & Gabbana.

respectfully what the fuck is wrong with you? this is incredibly disrespectful, rude, and honestly offensive. Drug addiction, whether she has one or not, is not something to joke about, regardless if you’re on a pop forum or not. You’re clearly the only one acting fucking weird about all of this, log off and touch some grass or something, it’s literally not that serious. -

22 likesSome of you don‘t like her newer lyrics. Some of you don‘t like her recent producers. Alright we got it, we have been talking about this for weeks Now let‘s get to the important questions: what color will the vinyl be
-
21 likesIs it? Is it really though? Anyway, Lana did an interview with BHMAGAZINO in 2014 where she revealed she was suffering from gastric ulcers, which is probably what this was: ”I’m on tour in America since the first days of April, it’s the first time I play so many shows and everything goes exceptionally well. These past two years I don’t feel very well physically, I suffer from gastric ulcer, but I can make it through concerts who’s capacity can be over 9,000 people. I smoke, I drink a lot of coffee. I eat chocolate and pizza. My way of living when I’m not on tour isn’t that right.” In the same interview, she also mentioned suffering with depression as well: ”I feel like I make happy songs, but when others listen to them, they think they’re sad. I can’t escape from my life, which has been wavy. Three years after my debut album, I’m still suffering from self-doubt and depression. Ahead of me there’s uncertainty and a feeling of emptiness. I don’t like it when I don’t know where I’m going. My love life, my family – are so fragile. I’m not sure of anything.”

16 likesi want lana to challenge her writing abilities with this album. she’s been so on the nose lately. i would love a bit of mystery to her lyrics again.

16 likesPersonally, I don't think it's wrong to want Lana to do something different. While her last few albums have had songs that I really love, they've also had some of my least favorite, and as a whole, the albums haven't clicked and stuck with me like her past albums. As others have said, half of Lana's appeal and 'thing' is how every album is different and explores new sounds/themes. While NFR-BB might all be in a 'singer/songwriter' theme the sounds have been different. I'm in the boat of I want something new and different, but at the same time I know whatever she puts out, I'll continue to find songs I absolutely love.

there should be a psychological study done about cigarettes and their belief that female pop stars owe them something...it's honestly not normal the way some of you talk and i genuinely believe the deflections are representative of your own mental illness... -

Still don't understand why that account hasn't at least received a warning point for their constant trolling and offensive comments on this thread. These repetitive essays need to be stopped, giving me strong projection vibes TBH. Anywho - does anyone else really love her Voices Carry cover? I wonder if she'll ever release the final version with extra synths and guitars. -

@111 why don’t you try coming from a family of addicts and see how it is to cope and deal with that. You try having several family members overdose on drugs multiple times and almost die, we’ll see who’s laughing then. what you’re saying is incredibly out of line. I know you’re not gonna give a single shit about what i’m saying and you’re gonna laugh it off and continue about your day but you are acting fucking insane over one small music artist. If her career and her presence bothers you so much stop following her as an artist. this is honestly giving fan behavior and it’s embarrassing I’m gonna leave it at this and have myself a good night. Hope you can do the same but i highly doubt it xoxo -

13 likesWowowow If you're a fake insider, atleast you're giving us good fake news. And if you're telling the truth, we're in for something incredible. This sounds like my prediction a couple weeks ago that this album would build upon the anxieties touched upon in NFR, with a similar but more troubling sound. Dreamy and breezy on the surface, with nightmares looming below.

12 likesI get why people like the more direct diary entry type lyrics but I'll just never be one of those people. I think songs like Heroin or Off to the Races or w/e are far more interesting than a song like Blue Banisters. And songs like Beautiful are just bad lyrically. It's like she just wanted to send a message but doesn't care if it sounds good or not (her having to rush pronouncing "Picasso" to fit it in... horrible). It goes along with her whole vocals done in one take / obsession with stripping back instrumentals thing she has going on. Stripped back piano with out of tune vocals and very direct lyrics don't make the music more honest or real, it just makes uninteresting while sounding bad. She can be honest while sounding good, not being too on the nose and having some grander production. We've all heard it before.

it’s funny because N1A is actually one of her most cohesive albums where nearly every song transition is perfect.. but everyone is different i guess -

11 likesshe said it's better than bb so i'm inclined to agree
-
11 likesi think when people say they are holding out for something different, it's understandable, because lana was always really surprising in that she's explored so many different genres and sounds across her discography! it's part of why a lot of us are drawn to her and why it's also not *unreasonable* imo to expect/want. and bb is already so different from nfr

i’ll never understand how people can freely joke about addiction. I relate to you because I JUST had to deal with my brother an hour ago because he had a breakdown. Those moments will forever be engraved in my mind. It’s hard to look back at what they were before getting into the world of drugs and then compare that to how they look now. I’m not too knowledgeable on Sky’s substance abuse, but anyone with the slightest amount of human decency will know that making fun of someone’s substance abuse is wrong. -

10 likesI get that everyone processes music differently but ever since NFR her music’s definitely shifted, and how u listen to it’s more of in importance to it. Have some of u even truly tried to comprehend the POWER of the records and what she’s actually been sharing thru it? It’s been incredible if u actually try to understand it a lot more fuller
