Remember when Tonia and Capitol Records Twitter gave us a glimmer of hope? At this point I would settle for a Sky Ferreira thriller movie where the main character is played by Nicholas Cage and he has to sneak into Capitol to retrieve the record.

For me it’s an Lana Del Rey aka Lizzy Grant rerelease where she would re-recorded and re produce all the songs (including yayo) and maybe adds like 2-3 outtakes on it. Also I’d rename the album to just aka Lizzy Grant

I really hope we get another interview when the era/ roll out starts/ around the time the album drops where she talks more about the process of making this album. I mean she kinda did that in the W magazine interview but I need to hear more about the process of the album & working with Jon Batiste & the Ian guy. Also still wondering if her trips , especially the Italy one, inspired her. We know the album is about to get finished but except that snippet & the Ian story she's been so quiet about this album ( Except the W magazine interview but that was months ago). I wonder if she shot a music video or the album cover yet or if she wants to wait till the album is completly finished to shoot these things. I would be here for that if that means we get an announcement closer to the release date & getting a proper smooth era but ngl I really want to hear a song from the album very soon. This album feels like such a big mystery & I just need more infos

Millionaire idea for Capitol and Sky, release a "From the Vault" collection of releases until Masochism is finally out. Imagine this: Cry Baby (From the Vault) Wild at Heart (From the Vault) I'm Not Alright (From the Vault) The three shelves albums with extra tracks from those sessions. Everyone wins. Why are the fucking scared to get more money while doing the bare minimum of effort? Sky hire me as your fucking manager and I will get so much money for you and you can keep doing nothing.

i woke up from a Lana dream songs called “You Need More” (or something like that) and “Screeching Lich” ?? the first one she kept singing “you want whaaaat? Mooooore, you need whaaaaat? Mooreeee” and the second one was a music video on a really grand yacht like some type of titanic vibes and We had come across like 10 new songs but it was from a leak? From like a weird short film taking place on this yacht that Lana had helped to direct and come up with the soundtrack for absolutely no clue what the fuck screeching lich is about tho very odd !

Speculating is fun, but it also leads to disappointment. I feel like doing that is what makes it fun to wait for an era, but in the case of Lana's albums I think the speculation is pretty pointless, Lana unlike Taylor rarely leaves clues as to what she's doing or we can expect from the album. I'm not going to deny that speculating and imagining what Lana may be cooking for us is something I do too, regardless of saying it's pretty pointless. Lana is pretty random when it comes to what she posts while Taylor leaves room for fans to speculate about what might come because they know it's something she does on a regular basis. Taylor uploaded a TikTok of what the midnights recording process was like and fans out of nowhere came up with the theory that she is going to collaborate with Lana because she was wearing the same clothes as when they ( Taylor, Lana and Jack ) took that photo of three of them. Those kinds of theories feel much more solid when it comes to Taylor, with Lana I think it's more of a game for us to keep the era entertaining.

Out of interest, what was the first ever unreleased Charli song you ever heard? I remember hearing Bottles for the first time and then discovering that unreleased/leaked music was a thing. My music library hasn’t been the same since

Also my inner delulu might show up again but I feel like she kinda wants to fool us. She mentioned orchestra, Jack mentioned 808's but yet she posted a snippet in which you can hear piano. There could be a few piano ballads for sure on the album & I feel like the first song will we hear from the album is going to be some type of a piano ballad because it's one of her favourite songs and maybe because a piano ballad is not that far away from the stuff she recently released ( it could already contain a hint on new elements on this album for sure though). But I have strong feeling we get a new sound/ new elements on this album that we will hear on the singles that will be released closer to the album or on release day while listening to the whole album. Also I woke up with a strong feeling that something is coming in October, that the album will be released in March or April , that a reworked version of Disco will be on the album ( like reworked with e- guitars ) & that there will at be least one bop on the album Don't get me wrong I like the snippet & love the melody in it & I feel like there could be more than piano but still I am curious about the orchestra she mentioned in W magazine & what she is cooking up else on the album Thanks for coming to my manic monday delulu talk

The weather got really cold & windy recently. Today I sat outside while the sun was out for like half an hour& listened to this album on the terrace. I haven't listened to it in so long & it was so beautiful. By the time Living Legend started it was raining and it got super windy & it was such a mood to listen to it in this weather. It really feels like autumn started & BB hits even harder now I still love this album so much

Honeymoon BABY happy 7th birthday I still remember my first listen to the leak the night before (?) its release. I found out it had leaked by searching in the news tab on Google (this is how I used to constantly check for news before I joined LB the next year) at like 1am before I was going to bed, then I found it and listened to it until 2am. I was SO tired, half asleep, and honestly confused at how quiet and subtle the whole album seemed. I think on first listen it was only Freak and Art Deco that I instantly liked as much as HBTB and Honeymoon. It probably took me a week to warm up to the other songs but it got better and better with every single listen. I got deepest into the album in late 2015 on my bus rides to/from University. Honeymoon really helped me get through hard times when it was late and getting dark and I was dreading getting back home to be alone in my room again. I still feel this album like it's my guardian angel leading me towards peace and harmony. It helped me to be softer on myself when there used to be such stormy violence inside me.

omg I can't believe its been 7 years HM was my first era as a devoted fan I can't believe I was 12 2015 felt like such a different time I remember when she announced HBTB for August 10th w that STUNNING single cover and me trying to convince my mom and sister she was an alt girlie and not a pop girlie and the morning Terrence came out and I listened to it on my way to middle school feeling like Ella Fitzgerald such a magical album still in my top 2 w UV the 1-2 punch of those two records and how honeymoon began the introspection that was then sidelined for LFL and returned to with NFR! is so crazy in retrospect mother!!!!!!!

I agree but they have very different approaches to their art and how they release albums. For Taylor everything has to be calculated and announced at the right time for the shock value and hype it generates. Lana on the other hand just makes music for the sake of it and releases/announces it as soon as she's allowed to. I don't think she even has a the concept of an "era" in her mind anymore when starting an album cycle. For example all the snippets in the NFR weren't (in my opinion of course) a way of creating hype or promoting the music to come but more of a general "look at what I recorded and I'm proud of". When she said she wanted to release a surprise album at some point I don't think she meant it as a way of shocking people either but more of a way to freely release anything she wanted without all the promo and stuff related to an album release. I don't think any of their ways are right or wrong tho, just very different approaches to music as a career

I pretty much agree with everything you said and see it like you do. as for the piano in her songs, of course there’ll be some, but I feel that it will be mainly as the « core melody », with other instruments attached to it. COCC and BB relied on them a lot, but they are, to me, « pandemic albums / reflections on her past », which would explain why they are more « simple » in terms of production. This new album feels like the albums we used to know before COCC. but hey, who knows with her, at this point? Maybe she only kept the piano on all the songs and stripped them all of other instruments

I think most people lose interest in Lana's album releases due to the fact that she announces them (or mentions them) long before they're even finished. Look at Taylor, she announced an album that she already had ready and fans will only have to wait a month to hear it, as for us... at least we have health

Maybe it's the price she has to "pay" for having 2 lowkey albums back to back... like I get she has full creative control but Interscope is a big label so I'm sure they want a bigger era this time (at least in terms of promotion cause a lot of people didn't even know BB was coming at that time Maybe her streaming numbers being huge makes them more confident in whatever she wants to release... or maybe they'll want to maximize profit and see how high Lana can really go with proper promo and something a bit more upbeat or radio friendly I wish I could read Lana's contract to see how much they can influence her output

Blue Banisters is such an autumn album. BB season is coming soon and can't be happier about it! I truly love this record. Yes, some songs could've been better. Some were better. But this album has true gems within. Definitely top 5 Lana discography for me.

I guess someday I'll do a blog entry here about what happens to me with Lana, maybe just to put it in words - to do an exercise on my love for her, on the ways I see her, on the fact that I would never dare to let go of her music. I just want to say, and thanks to Honeymoon's anniversary today, that I'm super sensitive. She really did change my life in every way. Her music shaped my teenage years and keeps guiding me throughout adulthood. I love her music so much, I love her words and how she plays with them. I just hope I can get to be just a tiny bit as fierce and smart and playful as she is.

Apparently Snow Tha Product is mad about "I Scream" never getting released, and it looks like it had something directly to do with Melanie. "nobody is more sad about what happened to that song than ME 🤯🫠 i was LIED TO STRUNG ALONG, AND ULTIMATELY DISAPPOINTED.. i wish it came out” She had the rights to make her own version at one time, but we already know that version was scrapped too. Does Melanie just piss off everyone she works with eventually? Why does nearly all of her music get scrapped? I really don't believe it's just her record label at this point, because so much doesn't add up there.
