Idk if someone mentioned it already but BOZ called Jack “useless” for his contribution on midnights , so he totally wasn’t talking about Taylor when he earlier said “I may hate antonoff but when he does something right it’s fucking incredible” . Guys it’s for Lana I’m sure

Oh God I want this man... ...to work with Lana for another album. Or just one or two more songs. Not gonna happen but I can't give up hope yet. I just wanna know what they'd create together these days.

aka not jack, not her cali bimbo friends and not her jobless family either makes me think about the only interview she gave this year regarding her new album in which she said she basically has 0 idea where she’s going with it, has absolutely 0 inspiration and needs to be dragged into a studio to come up with something… like idk bout y’all but that sounds highly alarming to me I say it once again she needs a complete life change, move back to New York/London, ditch jack, meet new and exciting people and get out of this boring country grandma bubble she’s stuck in for years now

I just dislike the 180° switch she made from a glam innovative sex goddess to a country bumpkin soccer mom

Tonight, Lana Del Rey, her manager Ben Mawson, and her father Rob Grant attended the LAFC vs LA Galaxy game at the Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

Or perhaps you need to see it for what it is. A thoughtful album about healing and reclaiming herself and her peace of mind after being put through the ringer countless times I swear some people are just so fixated on what they want to hear that they don't take the time to understand what they actually are hearing. All of her albums are beautiful in their own ways and creatively expand on the themes and the story that she's been telling her whole career. I see Blue Banisters as a cleansing and return to self after the deliberate aimlessness of Chemtrails which followed the subtle end-of-everything energy simmering throughout NFR. This leaves her in a really interesting place creatively and I think anything could happen for this next album. I am sure we are in for a real treat. I'm not expecting anything in particular, but I think she will combine elements of her previous sounds while exploring completely new territory as well.

"Once you get over the disappointment of Lana Del Rey's appearance on "Snow On The Beach" being nothing more than some background cooing, the music comes into focus." - stereogum Every review is pointing this out

He said a lot of weird things. About what got him to do what he did, how it was a misunderstanding & how it was her “fault” he also claimed that he was writing a book about his life & he showed me & let me read the chapter in which he talks about the situation. Just know that it involves acid/DMT trips where he claims that the gods/spirits etc told him & assured him that Lana was put on this earth specifically to be “his”. Idk what more I can say without him finding out & coming at me. I had screenshots of our convo. If he doesn’t find out who I am, I can try & see if I can get the part of the book from him again. It has a lot of weird stuff idk what is real, but I’d like to believe that a lot of it is from his imagination & or drug induced hallucinations lol or something. p.s when I said that he uses this site, I meant that he used to lurk back before the incident. I don’t think he’s a member here. He sort of hates Lana now. He claims he’s “suing” her or was at the time idk

Okay I finally listened It just makes me so angry that you'd get the opportunity to have LANA on your song and do that You can hardly even tell she's on the song except for the telltale pronunciation/accent on "around" and "beach" 1.5 stars never listening again

not gonna lie, i don't quite like the conversation surrounding her getting older and becoming "boring", a "soccer mom" and a "country grandma" just because she takes a more mellow and mature approach to her sound, i would actually agree that i'd love for her to try different things and experiment more, especially after blue banisters, which i felt like was very lacking, but at what point are we going to just accept the fact that she's grown and changed and we're not going to get the 2011-2015 lana back? it's really sad that people are so afraid and disgusted by a middle-aged woman who acts like a typical middle-aged woman, she's not 25 anymore, it would be silly if she were to start singing about cocaine and co-dependency like she was a decade ago honestly it really bothers me how people get so upset how she isn't "sexy" or "edgy" anymore, she doesn't have to be any of those things at this point if she'd rather sing about other subjects, if it really is that bothersome to you, just listen to somebody else or just listen to her old music?

I don’t even want old Lana. That would be a disservice to her growth. I think jazz, psychedelic rock, trip-hop in a Portishead kinda way, among others genres, would suit her so well. She’s got the writing for it, she’s got the creative vision for it. Never thought of her at a position where her surroundings would be a possible cause for creative bankruptcy but you’re probably onto something here. Either way, I don’t think she’s leaving LA ever again…

The whole Twitter is making fun of/talking about the fact that Lana doesn't have a verse. I hope Taylor sees it and realise about the mistake she committed.

I find the last 3 albums different enough but even if they share a common and more stripped down sound/theme they were released in the span of just 3 years... a tiny fraction of Lana's career, it's not like she spent a whole decade releasing the same stuff. And we don't know what's coming next year or even what she'll be releasing ten years from now. I agree that the vibe pre and post NFR has really changed but it's clear that she still likes to have some fun with the music either with more upbeat moments or more "experimental" suff (VB, Cinnamon Girl, FIILY, Doin Time, TJF which was even the title track at one point, Dealer, The Trio, BBS...). I get why some people don't prefer the lastest albums but it's not really just piano ballads. Also her first songs were acoustic with minimal production, that sound is also part of Lana as an artist it's not like she started out as a popstar

Exactly. Even the transition between LFL and NFR was a bold and inspired move. She went from what was more commercial and mainstream and did a direct turnaround to an introspective, serene and elegant approach to music that both de-mythologized her entire persona/Americana symbolism AND elevated her to a singer-songwriter realm she didn’t achieve before. NFR pretty much precedes all the Folklores, Slings and Solar Powers of the world and that was a bold movie in and of itself - no wonder it’s as popular as BTD these days. I adore Chemtrails and I don’t begrudge her for it because she managed to select a collection of songs that had a very specific feeling to it (bonfire, cabin in the woods, mountain trips feel to it) and seemed like a passionate project at least based off what she said in some interview in 2020. It’s Blue Banisters that kind of lacks a distinctive identity because it seemed an amalgamation of previous themes and sonorities and new themes and writing styles and it wasn’t a very coherent or particularly exciting project, in my opinion. I don’t mind if she keeps being this piano ballad, stripped back version of herself but all I ask is coherence and a clear vision - the same way Joni Mitchell was able to in Both Sides now, despite not necessarily reinventing herself with that album; nonetheless it was still a very specific vision portrayed beautifully with precision and skill. I felt that was lacking in Blue Banisters: the tracklist order is quite bad and makes for a strange progression, the mastering is particularly off for an album coming from an artist of her stature and the production was very lackluster and skeletal like she just sang her poetry and slapped whatever instrumental behind it as long as it didn’t obfuscate her writing but without displaying a perfect marriage between all of these layers. I’m sorry for this rant, I’m kinda stoned.

i would sell my sack for just ONE studio session with lana and dan, even if they dont produce anything, it will give lana SOME direction that man is a genius

BB is a beautiful album overall, but there are some awkward, confusing moments, and the mixing/mastering is incredibly disappointing and does tarnish the immersive experience. As others have said though it does feel like a swan song to her singer-songwriter era that started with NFR (and maybe even LFL in parts). It's thrilling knowing she could go in literally any direction now

Lana is like a mouse..she wants as least public attention as possible. Not sure how anyone could come to the conclusion it’s a publicity stunt? Obviously don’t know her very well.

What I don't understand, Sky admitted that the album isn't even finished yet but at the same time it's Capitol Records' fault that she can't release it? Why not finish the album first?

I’m genuinely so curious as to what happens now given the alarming theft. Will she resume plans to release the album as (sort of) planned? Will she wait to see if anything gets l34k3d or if they find the perpetrator(s)? Maybe she can recover the material if it’s not too late but I can’t be sure. Will she start from scratch on the music too? I also wonder if Ben’s “soon” really turned into not so soon because of all of this? What are the ramifications of one or multiple people’s selfish actions? So many QUESTIONS

On ABC's Good Morning America they just had a little feature on Taylor's release. They mentioned Lana and showed a few pictures of her. I was kind of surprised.

I like it, but I just can't understand why Lana is doing only backing vocals. Did she want it? Did Taylor want it? Why? I have so many questions... Disappointment of the year.

It's so forgettable. I listened 2 hours ago and already forgot what it sounds like. Taylor really REALLY loves Lana so i dont get why she wanted her voice as only a little background support.
