21 likesI need an album trailer like this again so bad everyone remembers where they were when this dropped… I was in my 9th grade french class during a test when I got the notification, I RANNNN to the bathroom and failed the test because i ran out of time during the period since i was gone for so long freaking out 😭😭

19 likesI miss Album trailers\samplers GOD they were so iconic. That Summertime Sadness endless b-roll footage of smoke and then the snippets being stitched together for fake leaks The West Coast B-roll footage serving more drama than the music video itself the GORGEOUS footage from the original Ultraviolence video + Honeymoon BTS and listening to Freak for the first time. and of course the most iconic of them all aka L-st For Life which didn't have any song playing but was crypt af. Ugh. Iconic. Just iconic. She's a VISUALIST when she's in the mood for it.

18 likesI read "being 2 scat" and immediately came here to see if anybody else is Lanaboards brain-dead and thought the same , I guess it actually says "being a slut"

17 likesi think that the reason why it doesn't look like she's super rich is because she lives very modestly and is very humble about her success but BTD alone has pretty much set her for life lol

17 likesalso taylor being above lana is strange…i’ve never seen taylor do anything like heart shaped box, off to the races, shades of cools, stargirl interlude, salvatore, cola bridge, tired of singing the blues, etc. she rarely does anything interesting with her voice; she has stable live vocals, something lana usually isn’t the strongest in, but her voice is nothing special. her edgy 1989 era when she did a lot of growls was fun, but besides that she has a basic voice, unlike lana who sounds soulful, rich, bold, and unique. if we’re talking about originality and influence no doubt lana is above taylor.

16 likesi may be opening another can of worms by discussing this but... we all know there's guns and roses lyrics here, but look at the side-panel, the word on the top that looks more bold really looks like "tropico" let me try to decipher what those other 13 lines of writing may say 1. can't tell, but looks like 2 words 2. can't tell too much with this one, it looks it starts with a "Z" perhaps? 3. maybe starts with a "P", looks like three words, the word in the middle looks like "a", the last word looks like it ends with a "t" so "P____ a ___t"? party a lot? probably not that, but it's really hard to tell 4. looks like lake placid, but considering that it was a very early title for i don't wanna go, it's unlikely, unless there's two songs with that title, but either way, the first letter of the first word looks like "L", and the first letter of the second word looks like "P" 5. "summertime" or "summatime"? possibly the janis joplin version we have a snippet of? 6. can't tell, could be either two words or one 7. looks like "jesof", could it possibly be "jesus"? 8. can't tell, but it looks like two words 9. definitely starts with "E", looks like it could be "elvis", assuming it's separate from the lizzy grant track because it'd be pretty crazy if she re-recorded it 10. can't tell, first letter looks like it's either "E" or "L", could be one or two words 11. can't tell, looks like it could be one or two words, if it's two words, the second word looks like it starts with "R" 12. looks like two words, the first starts with "F", the second starts with "R", looks like "ficke row" or "fickle row" which doesn't really make sense, i thought it could possibly be "front row" but it doesn't quite look like it, but the second word does look like "row" 13. can't tell, could be one or two words, if it's two words, the second word could start with a "D" also, this is assuming that that's a tracklist/song-titles, it could just be random words for all we know

14 likesokay, so this is a comprehensive list of every song from the UV era that we know of (not including Dark City and Ave Maria because we don’t rlly know anything about them, also not including Queen of Hearts and Don’t Stop because I have a feeling they were for something else) and when they were recorded as specifically as we know. if i’m missing info or possibly forgot to add a few songs to this list, which is definitely likely, lmk and i will update Cruel World — demo possibly recorded at Electric Lady December 2013-January 2014, final version recorded January-February 2014 Ultraviolence — demo/most vox possibly recorded November 2013, final version re-worked by Dan Auerbach January-February 2014 with a few new vocal takes Shades of Cool — scratch demo and Rick Nowels version recorded November 2013, final version recorded January-February 2014 Brooklyn Baby — there’s a scratch demo out there (which we have a snippet of), possibly from late 2013, final version recorded January-February 2014 West Coast — demo/radio mix possibly recorded April 2013, final version recorded January-February 2014 Sad Girl — demo/vox possibly recorded November 2013, instrumental reworked by Dan Auerbach January-February 2014 Pretty When You Cry — recorded December 2013-January 2014 Money Power Glory — recorded October-December 2012, alternate version recorded with Auerbach January-February 2014 Fucked My Way Up to the Top — demo possibly recorded mid-late 2013, final version recorded with Auerbach January-February 2014 Old Money — recorded October-December 2012 The Other Woman — recorded January-February 2014 Black Beauty — demo recorded January 2013, Paul Epworth rework possibly from February 2014 Guns and Roses — recorded December 2013-January 2014 Florida Kilos — recorded January-February 2014 Is This Happiness? — recorded November 2013 Flipside — possibly recorded June 2013 Living Legend — recorded 2013, likely July 2013 Cherry Blossom — recorded early May 2013 Nectar of the Gods — recorded early May 2013 Fine China — demo recorded November 2013, re-recorded with Auerbach in January-February 2014 Yes to Heaven — demo recorded November 2013, re-recorded with Auerbach in January-February 2014 Let Me Love You Like a Woman (Demo) — ? If You Lie Down with Me (Demo) — ? Angels Forever, Forever Angels — recorded early 2013 I Talk to Jesus — demos recorded October-December 2012, re-recorded with Auerbach January-February 2014 Your Girl — recorded November 2013 Unidentified Flying Bill — possibly recorded June 2013 I Don’t Wanna Go (Lake Placid) — demo recorded Early-Mid 2012, re-recorded in 2013 Hollywood — recorded September-December 2012, alt version from 2013 Wild One (Mike) — recorded September-December 2012 Cult Leader — recorded early-mid 2013 Dragonslayer — recorded early-mid 2013 I Can Fly — demo recorded November 2013 *One understandable misconception that I saw about the final version of West Coast is that it was recorded at The Bridge because that is listed in the album’s linear notes, but only select instruments on the song were recorded at The Bridge. The final version vox were recorded at Easy Eye.

13 likesMan I love random lore about albums like this. It’s so fascinating how she just never seems to stop recording even though she always seems to be somewhere doing something. i really wonder just how many songs there are that we just have absolutely no idea about. She has to have recorded 1000 songs in her career, how does she still have any ideas
