Not you trying to diss Lana for being pretentious while providing the most basic alternative that no one asked for. Maybe that’s why we’re listening to her music and not yours? Anyways, thanks for your input!

It gets real boring when reviewers and journalists keep banging on about Born to Die being criticised and her SNL performance, and people thinking shes fake blah blah blah etc. that was over 11 years ago! Time to move on. She has established herself now and is seen as one of the greatest song writers of the 21st century and is respected by her peers. So can they move the fuck on already.

Just wanted to say that I had the best time at my store’s listening party today. It was a wonderful way to spend my first listen. I met up with some of my ATL concert buddies, and also met some new people! I actually had quite a few people come up to me saying they recognised me from Instagram or LanaBoards & took pictures with me (felt like a local celebrity lol) I was also wearing her BTD cover outfit, which earned a lot of compliments lol. So many people were dressed up in Lana clothes & merch, and I saw two cute girls wearing the pink Target dress from the RS UK shoot! Lots of Ocean Blvd cover cosplays too. So adorable. The record was also incredible. I danced, I cried, I felt every emotion! After every song I was like, “this is my new favourite.” Every song floored me in different ways. I can’t wait to her the record again once it drops!! Xx

Well everyone, we’re in the final stretch.. just a little over 24 hours now until the album is released and we say goodbye to this monstrosity of a Pre-Release Thread and move on to the Post-Release! I couldn’t be more ecstatic that the day is finally arriving. I had my first listen of the record today at the listening event, and I’m so excited for my second listen. Off to sleep now - my last sleep before release time! Sending all my Lipsters lots of love upon this final midnight! x

I've been feeling kinda unbothered this week about the album (i guess due to stress with other things going on) but today the excitement has really hit me, like oh my god it's coming in two days. In two days i'm gonna be listening to 16 brand new tracks im scared ya'll

On my way back to the ferry to take me home after attending the listening party. This album is amazing, can’t wait to listen to it with headphones and catch all the lyrics properly. I’ve waited to listen to A&W til the album dropped or well, until today. Loved it, left the party wishing I could hear it again and then I remembered it’s actually a single - yay! xD Not sure what I expected of fishtail but it surprised me in a good way. A great way! Can’t wait to listen to it again too. I didn’t mind the interludes, but I’ll have to hear Job Batiste interlude a bit better before I know for sure. Absolutely love The Grants. I really appreciate that she kept the mistake at the beginning of the song. It kinda sets them vibe for the rest of the album? This album... is special. Very word-y like Lana said. Very close to heart, very close to Lana’s innermost thoughts and feelings. I got a warm feeling listening to it. I think this is the best we’ve gotten since Norman, and I think this might actually be better than Norman. Let the light in with FJM was really beautiful, don’t want to say too much for those who want to avoid spoilers. Margaret sounded like she gifted the song to Jack and his fiancé for their wedding. Once again, warm feelings. Overall, I just feel like, if you’ve spent lots of money on preorders, I feel like it’s been worth it. If you haven’t, that’s fine too. This album will please most fans, I think. Two more days, let’s go!

Listening party review- was cute n vibey, about 100 people, most got posters and wristbands. A lot of chatting throughout so wasn’t a complete focused vibe on the music but was nice to meet a few stans and have a couple drinks at the bar that’s in the record store x Album was incredible, so much better than the l*aks, was great to hear it on proper HQ speakers. Grabbed a beautiful poster which I’ll frame and hang on a wall. Can’t wait for midnight tomorrow ❤️💅💅

It's really cool to see how divisive this album is. Everyone has different opinions on what they consider their favourite tracks which is a really good sign of a great album, i guess because it means there are no universally hated songs so nothing is actually bad. They all have room to grow and become more appreciated in time

I just came home from a listening party and the people there consisted of locals listening to taylor swift instead of Lana and not even knowing that we got to listen to the album two days prior release, a guy complaining about Jack Antonoff’s singing during Margaret and another American (mind you this was in Europe) who was rude towards the employees and rolled his eyes at everyone including me and my friend (and of course he managed to win the merch…) other than that the album was a masterpiece as always and I got a poster. Which is the whole reason I turned up.
