Hi all, We are aware that Lana's latest album has leaked, and tracks are circling off-site. We are monitoring these developments but at this point we need to refer people back to the original guidelines which were agreed to when users joined the site, notably these two: Anyone caught trading, or if any mod has their suspicion of a person trading, will have their PM access disabled as well as the ability to post status updates on the main page, and on the pages of other members. Posting or sending illegal download links to officially released content available for purchase or streaming whether a leak or post-release is strictly forbidden. Additionally, requesting links to such content is also not allowed. Violating these rules will result in a warning points, mod queues, and if especially ban and continuously breaking the rules, a ban. While we do permit users to discuss material before it's been released, lately there have been extremely malicious content mixed in and masquering as material for the album which is deliberately misleading and distressing to most users. You must understand that we cannot control what you chose to do off-site, but strongly recommend that you do not engage with any file you're not sure on the origin on. Certain posts have been refered to external bodies, and needless to say if any user is found in connection with these the penalty will be severe. Do not try to be clever - don't use words that rhyme in place of a website, don't refer to any offsite websites where leaks are being held, don't discuss the content outside of music from files offsite. These will all result in a warning point and mod queue until release day. I also want to remind you of two other things this moment: Please stay on topic. We will be liberally giving out warning points and mod queues for those breaking this rule in the Pre-Release thread, as we are needing to ensure all posts are conforming to our guidelines and standards. If it's too much, log off. It truly is that simple. Music is the most wonderful thing in the world but can really heighten emotions, and although you're excited to discuss and listen to new music, it's just as important to your mental health to log off, enjoy something in real life and take a break from here. Check-in with yourself and make sure you're ok. We look forward to celebrating the album with you on it's release, but please use common sense and make sure you're complying with the above because you're not going to find leniency as the default reply. It’s clearly taken things in a horrible direction and it provides absolutely 0 constructive conversation about the album or the songs. Continue to use spoilers, and make sure to double check what you’re posting when you’re posting it. It’ll save you the warning points and the embarrassment. Pls yall lol

I may be showing my age here, but I’m terrified of downloading leaks and stuff bc of limewire. I downloaded some unreleased Kelly Clarkson song when I was in middle school and fucking Comcast emailed my dad (the account holder) saying the record label would sue and/or Comcast was going to cancel our account. I got in sooooo much trouble that I can’t even think of downloading leaks now as a 32 year old grown ass woman 🫠

I definitely don't like any of these girls' music either but like, come on, lana should be the main example here of how someone deals with their fame and career. I'm pretty sure she remembers of when she was in her early 20s trying to get any support from people in the business. we don't have to like them, just admire how genuine and nice of a person lana actually is in a rotten enviroment that is the industry I'm so proud of her, not only for her career but also how she never lost herself and is really the coolest ever (like billie eilish well said)

Personally, TikTok is a disease to the music industry. It's requiring songs to fit into a certain box or format in order to go viral so people can make more money. It's capitalism. People are literally making music now specifically so it can be used on TikTok instead of making music because it's good. Lana's music doesn't and never has fit into that box nor does she care to conform to it because she makes true art.

Honestly her speech was real asf, it must be so shocking to go from being overall mocked and disliked to being honoured like this by this point. I'll never forget some of my own friends legit dissing her out of nowhere in uni only to have her as their wallpaper by the end
