Ok, So she’ll quit music. Get a job at Walmart - no they won’t give her the 9-5 Shift she requested, So they stick her on 1-10. She after about 2 and a half months quits & makes a triumphant return with a dark grunge with a metallic aftertaste of an album, oh my is it glorious

ofc it will we’re talking about lana. she’ll talk about the color blue, about jim and joe, about missing her old life, about hating fame… but she better do it over a trap, pop or rock beat this time

‘ she’s influential Thanks to her grammy nominations’ No she’s influential because she’s talented and is like nobody else!! Not because of the scammys.

I’ll never forget how I felt when I heard MAC and VB for the first time. It was like, everything I had ever wanted from Lana - it was insane that she hadn’t released something in that vein of sound before, because it always felt like she had that in her. It was implicitly always there. After yesterday’s look — as superficial as an indicator that may be — I really hope and wonder if she’s going to endeavour upon that folk-rock sound but with even surfier elements (what with the speculated Del Norte County motif, which I’d love! West coast, best coast)

The way she was saying “I’m flexible—“ totally gave me job interview vibes, I hope to see her at her favourite store Target, she obviously didn’t prepare a speech but I love just listening to her ramble honestly about things bless her, well deserved, we love a legend

It looked like Ed was gonna go up on the stage and then was told not to or changed his mind Anyway it's nice to see her because I've felt like she's been absent since she left socials And I hope it's nothing too serious with her nanna

the jacket is iconic and perfect imo bc it's reminiscent of the greatest music vid and there's prob some lana humour in there. i would've picked different shoes tho n gone w some brown leather knee high boots or white go go boots omg - it's pretty clear she doesn't have a stylist anymore, right? (someone correct me otherwise!) that said, she looks like a mermaid young lizzy grant would be proud

Her saying she has in mind projects outside the artistic world has me more confused than ever. Ever since her "farewell from social media" video I thought she meant other types of art, not wanting to have a 9 to 5 job . I'm so lost. Who knows what she has in mind

Something I found super interesting was Lana mentioning that her original record deal with 5 Points was an 11 album contract for $9,000

Lana's not one to deliberately do Easter eggs and things like that like some artists do, but you can kind of see the aesthetics start to form right before album news. I almost wonder if the jacket being so similar to the Venice jacket from the video for The Greatest means anything. Honestly, the first thing I thought of when I saw her outfit yesterday was her 2018 "baddie" era. Also, I'm still just so so happy that yesterday happened. It was fantastic to get to see Lana receive an award like that in person

With the DNC jacket and NFR look and the recent Jack picture she posted on her Instagram story I hope we really get NFR 2.0

I saw people on Twitter saying DNC stands for Diamonds And Curls in homage to Marilyn. I think it's a reach but she teased Venice Bitch in the MAC single cover so...

The way there could have been at least some momentum in the introduction of Lana's achievements and influence in getting her award but all we got is a "She... is kinda...yeah..getting her Artist of the Year or whatever award for Video Games right? congrats!" from Mike Dean

okay so: - she said the next album will be better (she may suck at describing her songs but when she says an album will be good she’s ALWAYS right) - she said she already has songs she loves (the usual lana phrase) - she scrapped a lot of songs from bb which she obviously kept for future plans - mike often talking about her and wanting to collab more with her - she said she’s focused on writing music and not touring it - she was recently with j**k in the studio (god help us all ) - that she wants the next album to be digitally released first oh i smell the pre-pre-release thread slowly opening up

someone on lana subreddit said maybe the DNC on the surf jacket is a hint she's going to do a surf rock album so... manifesting david kahne return and AKA's big sister album

I really love how happy she was receiving the award. We all know how much of an underdog she is, she even mentioned it herself, so I know that it means a lot to be recognized for her work. and it's totally justified too.

A collab with The Beach Boys (Mostly Brian Wilson) would be revolutionary and probably could happen. I mean they are credited with literally founding Surf Rock. Brian wanted to collaborate with Lana a few years back but it just fell through after she became unresponsive according to him and there’s the TBB references all throughout her career most recently in The Greatest

My first thought was that it's the Kali Uchis collab since there were rumors going around about that a few weeks back

I love how calm and confident she was during the speech. It's amazing how high her self-confidence is, especially after the criticism. It's very inspirational for me, because I'm very shy and nervous.

Her speech was excellent. I wish she didn't have to deal with personal/family stress at the same time, and I hope Gramma pulls through.

del norte country does give off a folk-psychedelia vibe with slight surf influence... if this is possibly true, i think we're in for a treat...
