like Mac DeMarco who released an album with 199 songs in April, I see no problem

i don't think she hates AKA, she's mentioned it a few times here and there throughout her mainstream career, as recent as the billboard awards event she attended, i can't think of any instances where she specifically said it was produced by steven mertens, but she's also mentioned david kahne throughout the years as well, she actually spoke to him again while recording her cover of "doin' time" since he produced the original song, we know she likes kill kill, and she referenced "jump" on "fishtail" so i wouldn't say she hates the album, but i'm sure she has complicated feelings about it since it didn't really take off and she was kinda pushed to leave it behind when she became "lana del rey"

Palm trees in black and white I see in technicolor Maybe I'll take my glasses off So I stop painting red flags green Lately I've been sunning in the L.A. River bed Wearing nothin' but the summer bruises on my knees I like how you talk, how you speak, how you look at me But lately, I can't see I've been listening to Fishtail a lot lately.

I read under some yt Ocean Blvd reaction that this album plays like an actual tunnel and it's bright at the beginning but getting darker and darker. But then, in fact she "Let the light in" also the fact that the original Tunnel is leading to the beach and she ended album with x VB It really made me think.... wish she would talk about it more.

i’m still a firm believer that she re-recorded more songs from aka during the paradise sessions

Additional strong candidates imo: Hundred Dollar Bill, Kinda Outta Luck, I Talk to Jesus, Your Girl. And some more possibilities maybe: Disco, Axl Rose Husband, Elvis, Motel 6… Also, I forgot about when she said this: On June 3, 2013, in a radio interview for 102.1FM The Edge Live, Del Rey was asked about whether "Marilyn Monroe"/"Puppy Love" would ever be released to which she replied "I loved that song, um, I don't know, I mean, you know what would be a really good idea is to release a record called 'The Leaked Sessions' because I think I have over 120 songs that have been leaked online, that, that were meant to be for other people or for a later date, but, um, yeah, I don't know."

OK, thanks, I just watched it. It's a real bummer she thinks ppl don't like the last 4 songs. It's simply not true. If she knows her fans she knows they bitch about anything and everything. The whole album is amazing.

Um is this a best lyrics thread or...

WHAT. That's one of her most iconic lyrics.

yeah, boz said that leaking california (2015) was a "mistake" (as in, it was a bad idea to leak that one) and that she really likes that one, and that there's several versions

I wish she would do livestream & that we can tell her in the comments at least that the new record (including the last 4 songs) is great. Sis needs to go back to reality. I can't imagine that she thinks that we hate Peppers & Taco Truck it's really not the case At least Jen's sister told her And whoever this bitch is who told her that, when I catch you

She's insanely out of touch with reality because what the fuck... the whole album is incredible, does she not know that

Lana has missed out on the 5 cents I would’ve made her for streaming Yes to Heaven like 10 times over the last 24 hours. For some reason it’s just vibing with me hard rn.

‘and you think about who would be with you and then there's donoghue’ i think kintsugi is a gorgeous song and a great lyric but ive studied law for 6 years and this is all i can think about when she says the word donoghue and i giggle: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donoghue_v_Stevenson TLDR a woman found a snail in her drink

info from her insta Q&A: - album cover has been shot - no features, all solo tracks - tommy and makeup won’t be on the standard tracklist but might be on the deluxe

The interview with that Interscope guy said they were monitoring what was popular on streaming, so I guess it explains the current list. I’d love some insight, some day, on which songs / demos she passionately hates. Because I think that some of LB’s favourites might be in that category cause I don’t see those being officially released ever.

"I'm folk, I'm jazz, I'm blue, I'm green Regrettably, also a white woman But I have good intentions even if I'm one of the last ones If you don't believe me, my poetry or my melodies" This part in Grandfather makes me cringe a little bit

I just think her or her team have missed the opportunity already? I would fully support an unreleased record, if it was material from the archives that we'd never heard! However I just think if they were planning to release leaks something would've been done for the 10th anniversary of Born To Die in 2022? Of course I love a lot of her leaked material but it's there, it's accessible, unless it was re-recorded or had new production elements (like Thunder or If You Lie Down With Me) then I don't really see a point? Say Yes To Heaven was a missed opportunity, which kinda proves if this unreleased album is a thing then they aren't doing it for the streams or money, otherwise they would've been dropping these singles as they were trending on tiktok etc. In a dream world it's something that Lana would fully commit to in the future (like what Madonna is allegedly doing with her back catalogue), giving us an archive from each of her projects with demos, alternate mixes, never heard before tracks and final masters of the leaks! Package that with some unseen imagery from the album shoots and I'd buy every single one! But judging by the way the Blue Banisters tracks were handled it's gonna be a YouTube to MP3 affair with fan voted top 10 leaks... And I just don't know if her artistry needs to go from albums like NFR! or Ocean Blvd to a compilation of Serial Killer's and Dum Dum's?

It’s actually so sad lana thinks that nobody liked the last 4 tracks I’m afraid this will make her stay away from pop and focus on piano more

Mother of Pearl gets so much hate here but it's better than some of the final tracks we got IMO. It's got a great instrumental, very deep and resonant. Sounds like water. The lyrics flow nicely too, and her voice is very unstressed and natural. If nothing else, it's very well produced. Wish it got more love.

i really dont want this unreleased album if its going to just be the super popular viral songs seems super tailored to the GP and doesnt make sense in her discography

Her unreleased catalogue is just as if not more popular than her released catalogue. The amount of streams she would get from people who don’t know how to get the songs would be quite big. Think outside the box. The fanbase on LanaBoards is just a fraction of her actual entire fanbase.

Ya I can’t lie it definitely makes me scared she won’t do more pop/experimental songs on the next album but who knows, maybe it will make her want to make that kind of music more. if everyone likes it, maybe it’s not that good

i can’t be the only one who doesn’t see the point in officially releasing her unreleased stuff, the music is out there and can be heard for us as fans while she still makes money off of them as well - I think if it was something narrative based like those songs on bb then itll make sense but that's really it...

oh god where did she get these infos from about the songs that people like.. She needs to hire a lanaboards member to objectively tell opinions about the songs
