I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t feel like any of her music has aged. For the most part, her music seems suspended in time, always both classic and fresh. Occasionally she does use trendy sounds that will put a clear year on the release, but it never overwhelms the songs to the point of being unlistenable once the trend has passed. When I listen to any of her albums, I honestly don’t think of the year or online subcultures or whatever associated with it, just the music and the words, and how magical they make me feel. I know I’m probably in the minority here though.

I don't think people care about her enough to dislike her tho. All I've seen is her own fanbase criticizing her, which I think is even worse imo.

A note from Basside: "We’ve waited way too long to let this song out. We had a few road bumps that made it difficult for us, and we kind of just felt like we had all the time in the world. The tragic passing of SOPHIE has made us realize that time is precious, and waiting for a hypothetical future we know nothing about is the wrong way to live. All we have is the present. NYC2MIA started out as a fun chant, we lived in separate cities and when we were together it was what we would use to hype up parties, or scream at the world when we would ride our bikes around town. It was the first song we made with SOPHIE and the popularity it gained was unimaginable. Being able to say “New York to Miami” and having strangers know the next part really makes us feel special. We dedicate this track to SOPHIE. Thank you for seeing us and believing in us. We’re donating 100% of profits from this track to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project (SRLP), which works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine their gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination, or violence.”

makes me so happy that artists are able to still share sophie's talent with us, as horrible as this has been, i hope other artists follow suit and bring more of sophie's creations to us (with proceeds being used for donations being a huge plus!)

Because only us edgy gays were and are here for it. Didn't they at first had to edit the video adding the studio version because the sound was fucked up and then they deleted it all together. The comment section was ROASTING Charli too so overall not a good look.

Yes I was really disappointed when her music got really generic but I don’t blame her...once you get a taste of success it’s hard to resist. No Mythologies is one of my fave albums ever. Let us manifest a high quality album!

Tbh I live for Charli feat/remixes!! I love it so much when she brings songs that aren’t hers into her world, and more often than not, her collabs have been such awesome moments. 1 Night Dont Delete The Kisses Cool 3D World Dirty Sexy Money Deadstream

Probably. She recently did an interview where she mentioned that she had been working on an album and had managed to nail down the "centerpiece" track, which she felt set the tone for the entire thing. No indications of when the album's coming, though, so I would assume nothing drops until summer at the very earliest.

Finally, I can't believe it took 7 years for it to leak It's good, but not on the level of the other CXI tracks, understandable why it didn't make it.

I think the only album that has not quote on quote "aged well" in her discography is 'Lust for Life'. For starter, it's probably her only album that feels anchored into a specific time and place, with its social/political commentaries/references thrown here and there. But also, like other people have said, the production, the trap beats in most songs, it just screams 2016/17. It sounded easy and cheap back then, and still does now. Even with 'NFR!', an album that I don't particularly appreciate, I think is still going to sound decent in 10 years.

BTD reminds me of being a cirngey 13 year old and thinking I could relate to the lyrics, so for that reason I can’t listen to it. But it’s not that it aged, i did lol

change and the greatest are perfect political songs cause they're not too on the nose and they can be interpreted in many different ways based on how you relate to them.

I feel like her political songs have aged pretty badly like Coachella for example. What's funny is that I find her unreleased stuff to have aged SO well like idk...if she released those songs today I think people would love them. Didn't some of her old unreleased music get a lot of good exposure on TikTok? Her mind
