I wonder if she will announce the next album before this one is out.

Her delivery of the line "and now my blue banisters are green and gray" is so so good. Even though it's supposed to be the positive outcome you also get a sense of sadness and uneasiness. Also the bridge that comes after always gets me

Jack is definitely very stale he need to learn new instrumentations and melodies, I’m so bored of his ballads. It’s like the souls been sucked out of the song.

I hope she kinda loses her mind and does a full electronic trip hop album like imagine how insane that would be..

I get that Jack Antonoff may be very easy to work with, but all these alt pop girlies, don't they want a sound that is original and unique to them? Don't they feel humiliated to have their albums sound so similar to each other? Im glad Norman was the first 'cause I was able to enjoy it without prejudices and I think it's the best out of all these copy and paste records. I swear if Lana works with him again...

It's an ok song but damn it's so predictable. Nothing about this comeback is exciting at all.

well thunder does have electric guitars in it, unless she removes them

this is seriously the most anticlimactic album rollout of all time.... i get what she's going for but to make us wait 4 years for this anticlimax is such a slap in the face

How to disappear (wild at heart (HIADTFAWLMTH-BIHI)) reprise: the Re-up part 3 (Lana’s Version) instruments - only jingle bells

Happy birthday to this misunderstood gem!! I've always thought it's lack of cohesion is what makes it narratively cohesive. It's like a journey across worlds, from one sound to another, as Lana transitioned into a new musical realm of her career. I think it's beautifully realized from start to finish. This album also came out ten days after my dad died and I was feeling really weird and not myself at all until I went to the beach and listened to the album for the first time. It truly brought me back to myself, and I'll never forget the sense of peace and relief I felt as the ocean sounds at the end of Get Free closed the album.

Oh I am manifesting that Lana NEVER does the same merchandising sh*t Billie is doing for her album: are people really buying the CD booklet because she dropped white paint on it?!?! Didn’t look up the price of it, but geez ?

I’m very pressed bc I like the lyrics and her voice sounds great but this album feels so soulless to me cause the production is SO unoriginal I usually like Jack and defend his work as he sort of has signature styles for each artist he works with but this is SOOOOO painfully COCC/NFR-lite it’s sick lol. Wish she would have taken these songs to someone who could have been more creative with them

happy birthday lust for life!!! I'm so sorry this fandom shits on you all the time even though you're supposed to be lana's gift for the fans, you're one of my favs, it really was a gift!! underrated, iconic, full of stories, cohesive in its own way, a gem that gave us some of lana's best tracks, beautiful cover, beautiful length, nice collabs, sexy bops, beautiful music videos and aesthetic, rick nowels, dean reid and emile hayne finally I'm crossing the treshold from the ordinary world

I saw that on tik Tok and basically what happened is that mike got lana on the phone and she was laughing at the fans someone asked him to put I talk to Jesus on the album and yeah basically just that.

Both Lana and Jack are to blame so they're OVER. We can only hope Lizzy Grant and David Kahne/Steven Mertens return to save us

Happy birthday, Lust for Life! What an amazing record, one that I think helped solidify Lana’s status as one of the greatest songwriters of all time. I really admire all of the heart and soul she put into the record, which is ultimately reflected in its diverse sonic landscape and classically Lana feel. Its lyricism is true to Lana’s creative identity but is fresh in its clarity of inner dialogue and reflection of global affairs. And the memories I have attached to it are forever dear to me - it reminds me of mid-July, hot summertime ☀️? Heroin is my favourite song from the record and remains one of Lana’s most brilliant tracks, as well as one of my favourite songs of all time. Can’t believe it’s already been 4 years! ??

If anything I think more production reels people in to what she's trying to say. Slow production can tend to just become background noise if there's nothing special or enticing to grip the listener's ears

Exactly, proof that Jack is the problem! Ballads with every other producer have been gorgeous and sexy and perfect. Also, I’d argue that HM has some of her most bombastic & complex production.

I’m certain, too, that this will be another album with (piano driven) ballads. Quite the opposite of what I expected when I read “revenge album” and working with Mike Dean. The three singles are great though, especially the when it comes to lyrics, but... Hm, I don’t know. I kinda long for an album with less ballads next time, something to surprise me because I’m expecting her to, like, “only” write ballads in the future. But knowing me, I’ll probably happily take whatever she’s willing to put out.

And im also glad Lana's style is so peculiar she didnt got lost in jack's production... Because this song has nothing saying Lorde to me

She must love our pre-release threads. Sometimes I want to have more time with the post-release threads but then she always teases the next album.

Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman that is stoned at the nail salon to have - but i have it.

This album is going to be very slow and most of them will have only one instrument - piano, just accept it. The next song is a good example, it's piano only, Thunder and Cherry Blossom are also slow, so no electric guitars, at least for this album.

Our best chance of hearing a new Lana track soon is on the Bleachers album, i’m afraid I’m feeling exactly the same about the excitement for this album. A tidbit of info every three weeks is really getting painful.

a delay AND more jack production... when will the pain end

"You get to choose the genre, and he plays it all out" Cool so can she not choose country or folk going forward His Fisher-Price keyboard sucks so maybe fewer instruments, higher quality is what he should be aiming for He can also stop investing in sets of jingle bells altogether

All of her other older songs are still under Marina and the Diamonds, but Oh No! was changed to be under her new stage name. The inconsistency.. she's so messy
