I love this song and Lana’s rendition so much. It was just written for her, and I love to hear her dip back into her mid-lower register again. The production is GORGEOUS and feels like a natural maturation in sound at this point of her career, while containing sonic flashes from UV and HM’s use of saxophone. I really would love for her to flesh out this sound in a full-length project. Just beautiful all around <3

This is really great so pretty and a bit melancholic I saw father John Misty live at the Barbican in London last night and the orchestra was just insane. So impressive and the instrumentation on the new album is magical. It was like being in a brothel in 1920s New Orleans.

One is a really artistic and clever electro pop song. The overly autotuned voice and repetition represents how she feels monotone, stuck like a robot on autopilot in a relationship that’s barely alive with no excitement or happiness. The music sounds really happy and upbeat so it creates a nice juxtaposition. Obviously music is subjective but it’ll always be a masterpiece to me.

This just proves to me that Lana has something special in her voice alone. I sat through the whole Father John Misty version on Spotify thinking Lana’s voice would come in at some point, and I was so bored and wanted to skip. Listening to Lana’s version is just… wow. I love it. She managed to make a song that I didn’t like at all a song that I really enjoyed just with her voice, everything else the same. What an artist!

I finally got to listen with my AirPods, in bed, lights off and oh god it’s beautiful I don’t think I’ve had a reaction to a Lana song like this since Terrance Loves You was released. I really hope she goes in this direction for LDR9. A jazzy NFR style album would be a dream.

Well damn don't manifest it!!! This is....well some of yall know me, it's been a time to be a Lana fan (BB is still in constant rotation in the car) but this is that CLASSIC Lana. In terms of covers I feel like when I fully collapsed when I heard Summer Wine. This is EXQUISITE. it's dreamy, mournful, beautiful, the melody slaps. Taking me to the moon again like she always does.
