Fuck Halsey. Her music is terrible. She released 4 albums because she was willing to do what the label wanted. Sky refused to do that. Of course Sky is bitter. Money that could have gone to help record Masochism went to Manic and that flop "passion project" album she did with Trent Reznor. Also, Trent wasted his producer talent doing that "passion project". He should have worked with Amy Lee instead. Anyway, I say let Sky take jabs at Halsey. She has every right to after everything she's been through. I forgot about that... Even more reason to shade her.

Mike Dean could have been one of the best things happened to Lana but I still remember having second hand embarrassment over fans spamming him to "fix" the ending of WFWF.

i mean the meme is not wrong, its not that nobody else is oppressed by their label but... halsey? tiktok was already a thing when she released IICHLIWP which got a whole film for visuals and it had no potential hits for tiktok. also, how is it that her label isn't interest on her releasing the song whatsoever, but gave her money to shoot a music video for it? to me its clear that this whole thing is just marketing to - surprise! - get a viral tiktok moment and promote the song before its release ALSO, IF that is true and the label is oppression halsey then its pretty funny since she was the one who said years ago that sky was lying about being held back by her label and now its happening to her. seems like karma to me, and sky has all the right to shade just for that alone

i hope she still would, it's such an iconic name & such a deep concept if you think about it and also, it'll even hype up the release because this album title holds fan's loyal long-time support & time value between her and this fanbase.

to be honest: I never liked Halsey, actually i've been always that kind of person who would pick Sky Ferreira over Halsey & imo Sky's artistry, dark, depressed tumblr aesthetic is one of the most original thing that Halsey could never pull off as good & i admittedly hated her when she said really bad things about Sky. But after making us wait for just an album with a nearly 10 years "pre-release" and messiest rollout, what Halsey said about her quite makes sense. I still love & support the fuck out of Masochism (if it's not a myth ofc) as a stan, but as her audience, i think responsibility & clarity is what we lack right here. Let's be honest: There are so many artists who have issues with their labels but they do whatever it takes to put out their craft every year: mixtapes, demos, or at least 1 single a year, but all Sky did was making us looking foward to something that never actually released, i think that's why so many people have problem with her when she posts that shady story aiming at someone who actually puts out their music at any price to prove that "yes i am an artist, this is my craft" Delay happens, but for a nearly 10 years time-span delay - homegirl could have just simply said "i'm not ready for new music now" since 2015 instead of feeding us with nothing but false hope. Anyway, stream 'Don't Forget' because we dont want her to forget the album.

i had a dream last night that she surprise-dropped the album & it was so bad all of the songs were really rough & had the strangest instrumentals, one of the instrumentals was literally a royalty free kevin macleod song & the album cover was a very low quality, kinda eerie side profile photo of lana wearing a blue flannel everybody here was so happy with the album & eating it up which i was so confused by

I want dynamic production that changes and builds up throughout the song (like the BB version of Thunder that starts with the eerie strings and the piano, then gets a guitar and after the first chorus it "explodes" with the percussion coming in). Arcadia also did a good job with the horns in the second half but it was more subtle. I trust Drew's orchestra . Not sure about Jack unless he comes through with the electric guitar of some NFR tracks tho cause I for sure don't want random tambourines playing in only one of my ears
