13 likesI had a dream last night that Lana posted the LDR9 announcement on her Instagram. I don't remember what the record was called, but it had a long title. It was set to come in a few months before the end of the year, don't remember exactly when. The album artwork was in the style of her Born to Die & Paradise covers with the text and posing and it was in colour. In the post's caption, she said it was a behind-the-scenes photograph taken while on set for a music video for a song from the album. She posted the backside with the tracklist, and the artwork for the back was black & white. The album was 13 tracks and had a few unreleased songs on it, the ones I remember were Hollywood which was the opening track and St Tropez & Kill Kill. The final track of the album was called 'The 13th Beach' and Lana said in the caption that it was her favourite song from the record and a continuation of 13 Beaches from Lust for Life. She said the meaning of the song was about going through the motions of life, overcoming adversity, giving up old vices, to eventually find a happy and comfortable place in life where she's now at. She also said she was excited to finally release Hollywood with the proper production. That's about all I remember, but I also remember creating the official LDR9 Pre-Release Thread and everyone was freaking out over The 13th Beach's description. I'll also say, nearly every time I remember a dream vividly, at least part of it comes true, even if it's a minor detail. Every time I've dreamt about a Lana album release ahead of time, something has indeed come true from it.. so we'll see
-
12 likesI wish I had those detailed dreams too. Last time I had a Lana dream was when she was screaming at me through the phone and I woke up scared for my life

9 likesA few months ago I had a dream that I saw Lana live and she premiered a new song from the album but it was only piano and in the dream I thought "Wait till Lanaboards hears this." So let's NOT manifest that one. Gonna focus all my energy on @Elle's dream.

7 likesI also had a dream about the album a few nights ago. I dreamt that LDR9 was a visual album and told a story set in a fictional city somewhere on the west coast. The name of that city was also the album title (I can’t remember the name). I remember that I found the whole concept to be weird but intriguing at the same time and was interested to see how Lana would work it out: There were two social groups living in this city – poor and rich. Poor people were only allowed to go out and live their lives during the daytime (do work for rich people – cook, clean etc.). Then at night, rich people would awake and party, do drugs, spend their money, etc. It separated two groups; rich people acted obliviously and didn’t recognise the lower class. Once a year, there would be a ball/banquet at this massive hotel in the middle of the city (so big, you could see the hotel from any distance). The album starts with Lana getting an invitation letter to attend this event; the first couple of songs follow her preparing for this event. I remember her singing ‘’Will you be there, waiting at the entry? Will you hold my hand and carry me through the night?’’ Then, a few songs later, she arrives at the hotel. I vaguely remember her singing to guests and doing drugs (taking some fictional black pill), fuking at the rooftop. I can’t remember the rest, but in the end, Lana sees everything that is wrong with that place and leaves the hotel. Later, we see Lana taking the train to escape the city. She finds one of her closest friends (Nikki Lane? )there too. Lana sits next to her and this is how the album ends. The album was split into parts (songs); each Friday, Lana would release a new song from the album accompanied by high budget MV. Oh, and the sound was exactly like Art Deco (sultry, mysterious, accompanied by saxophone and violins with trap beat). The album cover looked similar to THIS with Lana standing in front of the hotel. It's probably because i watched WM MV before going to bed but this is on par with album aesthetics :))

7 likesI just noticed she has a stories collection (or however is called in english sorry) on her HM account called "stars align". It's probably just cause SS was playing on that Portofino restaurant but she also added the W Magazine stuff Manifesting it's a song title (just like Icy Waves and Peach Fuzz). Maybe it's Lucky Ones part 2 (I know people don't like that song don't hate me

7 likesNikki has an album coming out in September, and it doesn’t look like Lana is involved. I feel like their collab album isn’t coming out any time soon. Nikki worked with members from Queens of the Stone Age and Arctic Monkeys which is kind of cool though. https://pitchfork.com/news/nikki-lane-announces-new-album-with-queens-of-the-stone-age-and-arctic-monkeys-members/

6 likesDeath Never Came. (This title has probably been suggested before, I can't remember. Although I don't think she would go this dark, I'll still entertain the thought). A track about how one's fame outlasts one's life. Both acknowledging the impact and legacy of the artist but not without a certain aggression resulting from the desire to disappear sometimes, Todestrieb, death drive. Or not as dramatic but simply becoming a face in the crowd and enjoying being anonymous, starting a new life. Love-hate relationship with fame she has always dealt with. But she comes to a conclusion and accepts this time that "death would never come". I imagine a Blonde Redhead - Misery is a Butterfly type of sound with her own twist on it. I almost never make up songs this way, don't know where this one comes from. Donoghue N Courtney. K, this was bad. Shutting up.

6 likesEvery time this thread gets on the "recently updated" page I get excited and scared at the same time I don't think it's coming anytime soon (if it even exists). I wish I could ask Lana why she keeps "announcing" projects and never releasing them but not in a blaming way, I'm genuinely curious maybe she thinks they are not good enough or the label prioritizes original albums over side projects (I'm with them on this)

6 likesNow what could've been a curse is if MARINA was opening for some Olivia Rodrigo or someone of sorts --- Tbh I enjoy Panic! but I literally never thought MARINA would be opening for PATD (or anyone at this point) but hey, at least she's getting her coin for M6

Da fact that this thread was on fire whilst she didn't have a release... Anyway stream DF and WHERE'S THE MUSIC VIDEO If it's coming on 9th along with your Festival performance start posting some teasers (now it would be a good time to tease since it's ya thing) -
6 likesI had dreams about LDR9 twice from the beginning of 2022. I hope this time around i will get to dream about it for another time - 3rd time's a charm. I've been desperately trying to dream about it in my sleep again for a few days. It seems like you have to lucid dream, you have to fall asleep while still picturing LDR9 in your head. I am going to sleep now. I WILL TRY AGAIN. y'all really forgot she is a witch, putting hex on her fandom.

However, i think III is an incredibly accomplished album. Till Now is like nothing i've ever experienced before from her, very left field. I absolutely love it. Gimme keeps the energy, but with a more pop oriented formula. Contaminated is excellent, from the production to the lyrics, especially the dramatic intro/outro, and the vocoder throughout. Stroke is a career highlight for me. Absolutely love her use of distortion, specifically how consistently she uses it on the first four tracks. Godless almost reminds me of what Taylor was aiming for with reputation, but more sophisticated. Sawzall is certainly a breath fresh air after 5 production heavy songs, beautiful vocals. (I'm glad she went back to that style on I Still Love you.) Definitely mixed emotions on Look what you're doing to me, mostly because I don't think Francis part is great at all, just not the song for him tbh. Hawaiian Mazes is like traveling to another dimension, that trap based outro with the waves crashing from ear to ear mixed in with the harps and strings ascending is one of the top moments of the album. I've never been to Alaska, but for whatever reason I just get such a snowy and windy vibe from the song. Jimmy jimmy jimmy. Love that hook i don't care what anyone says. Propaganda is almost an homage to some of her earlier music, specifically on The Altar. I love the intense, percussive drums matched with the eerie synth strings. Highlight after highlight! She gets quite aggressive on that second verse of the Fall, as if she's yelling thru her teeth, i LOVE IT. If we were made of water. Where do i even start with this one. God what a masterpiece. The song begins: "You apologize," I immediately ascend. If we were made of water maybe we could swim around it, but we can't no fuckin more. The suffocating vocoder in the outro, never heard anything like it. Beautiful, mesmerizing. What About Love closes out the album perfectly, beautiful slow jam track. I love how the strings build in intensity near the end as her vocal fades out. Definitely my favorite album from her, and was definitely disappointed when Serpentina came out. -
