She’s an absolute mess but her music is too fucking good to not be rooting for her. We know what she is capable of when she’s all there… Something is clearly wrong and I don’t think it’s anyone else but her. However, it really seems that something mentally fucked her up a lot and that is nothing to joke about or mock her for. We can only hope that she’ll get better.

I listened to Cherry for the first time in a while the other day and my jaw was on the ground remembering how INTENSE and SEXY and CATCHY that song is…yes I capitalized for extra effect, it’s worth it! We need some of that echoey, horny energy

Lyrically and thematically, I hope this album links to Behind the Iron Gates and Patent Leather Do-Over (the same way NFR links to Violet), so here’s something foggy, serene, and Sylvia-inspired —

People really forget that Sky has struggled with her mental health since she was very young....paired with substance abuse I can only imagine the struggles she endures daily. I've been guilty of it too, but speaking negatively of her doesn't help. If I read some of these comments I wouldn't release shit just to spite everyone. Be grateful she's finally gearing up to release the music she's been sitting on for YEARS & performing new music before the record release. Cut the girl some slack, she doesn't have to set foot on stage or release any music for you. Look at the past several years

the way the mood of this topic always switches from "we love sky she's such a queen omg she can do no wrong she's the best popstar of all time" to "sky is so boring and messy and looks dead on stage and she should be ashamed of herself" in literally 2 minutes 😭

Rob is in the UK . I wonder if Lana is with him. She's really doing a (non musical) world tour if that's the case Italy reminds me of HM and the UK of BTD (maybe cause she was a lot in Europe during its promotion) so I take this as a (delusional) clue of LDR9 being cinematic and dreamy . I don't care if she's not even there and Rob went just to catch some english sharks or whatever

I feel maybe some of you could be nicer… I know it’s not a popularity competition but she’s making baby steps at least?

Just when I think the Chemtrails title track is my number one song in Lana’s discography I’m reminded by UV’s title track and how much I would (over)play it to dissect this masterpiece. I would do one listen-through only paying attention to the drums, and then another one for the electric guitar, one for the bass, one for the keys, etc etc until I understood each component. What a song omfg, chile lemme go listen rn. Happy birthday to this beautiful record!!

8 years old. 8 fucking years. i remember when it leaked and listening to it thinking "wow, this woman really did this" and also i was kind of confused by how heavy it sounded. i remember skipping cruel world because it was so log and i wanted to keep listening to the other new songs oh and when I heard FLORIDA KILOS THE FIRST TIME man what a time to be alive. what an album to experience. oh yeah and the time she sang ultraviolence the first time and everyone was fucking shook

Lana went from spoiling half of NFR to not even posting a single snippet while Rob and Ben are teasing all the time something imminent I'm sure Lana is not against them teasing but it's weird that she doesn't want to reveal anything yet (not even the album title, which we usually get very early in her album cycles). She always announces things on a whim anywhere she can (in a random concert, in a tweet about a leaked song, in a interview, in a screenshot of an interview while defending herself and claiming revenge... ). There has to be a reason for this secretive behavior

BlackoutZone just tweet something interesting regarding this album. I'll quote exactly what he said since his account is private so whatever link I post won't really work "Hmm UV fun facts.. Lana wanted Fine China, Say Yes To Heaven and I Talk To Jesus on the album, but pretty much everyone else was against that! Don't remember exactly which songs they would replace - possibly Black Beauty and Guns n Roses"

8 years of a legendary album. Everything about Ultraviolence is perfect, there is truly nothing quite like it and I can’t even put into words how much it means to me. Her best <3

I just remembered how i ordered the deluxe box set without telling my parents and then lied about how much it actually cost with shipping lmao. She was monstrous on this record. Let's celebrate FLIPSIDE this year!

i feel like her lack of confidence makes her performances so much worse. she convinces herself she sounds awful anyway so she doesn’t even try to sing well or put on a good show. i wish she’d just prioritize connecting with her fans despite the sound issues or what she thinks of her performance, the fans are gonna eat it up either way

Some of y’all are ruthless. Like others have said, let’s be grateful she is at least making an effort. Trust me, I get frustrated too but we shouldn’t be tearing her down at a time when she’s finally on the road to a comeback. I hope that with her next performances she can just let go of obsessing about the sound quality and just be happy and give a show to her fans. i know everyone is bashing her performances but from the videos I’ve seen, she still sounds great. I think it’s her insecurities that make it seem bad, but if she could just go with the sound, I don’t think anyone would be criticizing. There’s tons of artists that are awful live but they have confidence. Sky can actually sing, and she has amazing music, so if she could just have a little more charisma, I don’t think anyone would think twice about any sound issues. let’s just cut her some slack. She’s out there trying, and obviously is very conscious of how she wants to be heard. Let’s stop mistaking this for her being lazy or ungrateful.

I reread what I wrote yesterday and let me clarify, she wasn't that bad! I actually enjoyed her vocal performance – i dont think she sang badly, despite her saying otherwise lol – and she really looked gorgeous and quirky in a good way, she even laughed a bit when one of my friends couldn't stop screaming from excitement and there was a moment where she ¿kinda? tried to wave at someone (but she immediately stopped as she was getting distracted from the song I guess lol). Anyway, despite the messiness of it all and her looking visibly mad and disappointed there were cute moments. Maybe I sounded a bit harsh, but it was her attitude towards the sound difficulties that rubbed me the wrong way, and I don't want to be one of those fans who will excuse everything their fave does or are willing engage in mental gymkhanas to pretend to enjoy something that's not really being fun. I really wanted to see her enjoy herself and that didn't happen, most of the time she was tragically caught up in herself instead of, you know, going for it! put on a good show despite the disadvantages! – at least thats how I felt it – and I actually ended up being more worried about her wellbeing than disappointed. At least i'm glad I was there to cheer for her. I really like her and I do care, and if making live shows stresses her out or increases her anxiety levels to some unhealthy degrees I would prefer that she would find a way to make it work for her instead of keep tripping over the same stone over and over. That being said, I don't think i'll ever forget this concert. At times it felt like the apparition of the virgin mary lol. if anyone was there in the Primavera audience, I would love to read your experiences too! i know for a fact some people had a really great time.

I like to really set the mood. Dim lights, cozy vibes. If its a music video i have it up on my tv. If im feeling extra that night ill do my makeup and dance around in a wig😭 and a lil smokey tokey so i can be realllly immersed. I usually cry if it hits too close to home which is more often than id like to admit 😂😭

Arcadia is so underrated, I can’t believe how overlooked it is by so many listeners. When I first heard it, I couldn’t believe she did that. The lyrics are some of the best she’s written (that chorus is everything), her vocals are stunning, and the production is just gorgeous. I admire the way she’s able to weave so many different facets of her life—relationships, fame, and personal growth—into individual songs, and this one is just exemplary of that. It’s probably my favourite on Blue Banisters
