A month ago I was completely sure that we'd be getting a single in September. Today's the day...

I trust Ben’s word better than Lana’s - when DCMA had been teased, someone at one of Lana’s tour venue asked him when the single would be out and he said two weeks… and it happened in that time frame. - about LMLYLAW: he said it would be out by the end of 2021 (he said new music but we knew it was that song) and it happened - he also debunked, in the NFR era, that the album would be out in the first half of the year, that « creation took time ». for many people, soon means in the next month or so, but if it happens in the next 4-5 months, it’s still soon, especially if she released two albums last year and two non-album singles this year. Our problem is that Lana triggered the word in the LFL era

this is one of my favorite lana songs honestly (especially of the non-album releases). it has an atmosphere that none of her other music has. so cinematic. if you cant see its simple beauty you simply dont have taste

How do we know it was mainly written by Emile? I've always thought that she was the main writer and he cowrote and produced (like they usually do in her albums). For me this is quintessential Lana so if it was really written by Emile he fooled me for good. I still have chills when I remember the snippet he posted of the bridge it's so crazy to me that some people don't like this... the chorus is heavenly

So hard to believe when she wrote so many songs and a poetry book before. Where does her sudden difficulty in writing songs come from? Maybe she needs to travel around more, like in her earlier tour phases, visiting other cities, states or countries to get the right inspiration. But we know that she has traveled a lot this year.
