i now know how sky can afford not working at all, she lives rent free on your mind damn! you come here every single day to complain about the fact that we're still here, well, why are YOU still here miss thing? hell yeah we gonna rehash the same shit as long as WE want to, or at least as long as ellie let us stop trying to be eclipse, sis. you're not that girl, trust me. it's not giving eclipse, it's not even giving new moon, you're barely giving twilight! as i said it before, if it bothers you that much then just close the tab. now do everyone a favor and click that big red X button at the top of your screen and go get a fucking job, bc no working member of the society would spend that much of their free time complaining about what other people do with their free time. worry about your goddamn rent bc sky is already living for free in that tiny little head of yours. obsessive ass bitch -

21 likesIt would be cool to see her release another album that critics, a majority of fans/general public, and Lana herself all consider her best. I wouldn’t trust insiders when it comes to predicting the critical reception of an album though. I remember some insiders saying that Solar Power would be Lorde’s most acclaimed/best album, and it ended up being one of the worst reviewed albums of the year. BOZ seemingly loving this album despite hating her past 2 albums is what gives me hope for this.

21 likeswashing my hair, doing the laundry, where's the album, we're going crazy. just wish there was scat, watching the madness on LB unfoldddd. it's never too late, LB, so don't give up.

20 likesSpill NFR is a great album but it’s so…safe. Very accessible and cohesive, which is why the general public loves it. But I don’t understand the fandom’s boner for it and saying it’s her magnum opus.

Ok guys, this been a long ride... I'm actually Sky, I'm sorry for keeping this secret for so long. All I'm asking is time, for me to explain, prove and finish everything. And I also need y'all to Venmo me a couple of dollar so I can finally proof my point and release masochism! And me and Halsey, we're finally in good terms, she wants to say hi. Hey there, it's Halsey here //LiIiIiIiVe wiThOUt mE💕💅💋💋 -

19 likesI don’t understand insiders doing the whole “you guys doubted me, I’m insecure about sharing anything now because you guys are meanies 🥺” thing… like girl why WOULD we just instantly believe you? And if you’re coming on here LOOKING to be heard and “believed” then that’s a problem to take up with your therapist, not internet f words just spill your tea and we will believe it or we won’t… doesn’t change how legitimate it is, now does it?

19 likesRealistically, my guess is Blue Banisters despite the wide range of possible producers—mostly due to the “plastic bags” lyric and her description of the record: wordy, conversational, having orchestral touches by Drew, etc. Also, although we don’t know if the “umbrella” snippet was the final product or even part of the record at all (much less representative of all of LDR9), it did sound like it could have easily fit on Blue Banisters. However, BoZ potentially calling LDR9 a masterpiece given his criticisms of Blue Banisters makes me wonder if his dislike of BB was centered around its soundscape, indicating a shift sonically. After all, BoZ’s music taste does seem to be more pop-centered, and this might explain Jack bringing up the bombastic tracks which were used to contrast COCC’s “restrained” (as mentioned in the interview) approach to production. If she continues down a more toned down path, I’d love a darker, more dramatic presentation similar to the vibes from the W Magazine beach photoshoot. I guess we’ll see! Either way, I have a strong feeling I’ll love this record!

Going to give you all a chance to cut out the drama before I lock the thread. If any fighting continues past this post, the thread will be temporarily locked. I'll be going through this thread in a bit to hand out Warning Points where warranted. Behave, thank you x -

To sum up this year... 1. We all agree now that Sky is a liar. 2. We all agreed not to call her or see her as an addict. 3. We got a new single. 4. We got many bland and similar boring interviews. 5. We got amazing photoshoots. 6. We got many bad demos leaked. 7. We all agree that there's no album finished in these almost 10 years and it's not Capitol's fault. 8. Sky is the one and only to blame for being late to live shows and performances. 9. Sky sabotages her own music videos and that's the reason for the lack of them (Guardian, Love in Stereo, Don't Forget). 10. Halsey WAS right. For what it's worth, it WAS her best year since 2019. -
14 likesNo more sisters, brothers, aunties. Lord I just want some fresh and new . I thought Jack simply refer to her Instagram handle (being honeymoon) not that they’re making honeymoon 2.0.

it's interesting the way some people go about and treat musicians/artists, mostly female artists, let's be real... friendly reminder that sky is a human-being too, and while it may be incredibly frustrating to see her lie, deflect from her album's release, etc. the way some users here talk about her, you'd be thinking that she's a criminal who has killed thousands, save the energy for more important matters which will actually benefit society, because constantly posting about all of the things you hate about some random woman who you don't actually know won't make you any more of a pleasant and iconic person, it just makes you look miserable huh, maybe i should start listening to sky since i'm here -

it's funny because i've been viewing and visiting this thread for a little while recently because i honestly find this thread fascinating i personally think it's ridiculous that some users who clearly hate sky come in here everyday just to complain and rage about all of the things she's doing wrong... it's clear to me that she is not perfect at all, and i don't think she's ever going to release that sophomore album, but at some point you've just gotta let it go and focus on something else obviously it's okay to criticize somebody in a constructive, civil manner if it's warranted for, but some of the things i read in here are a little gross -

12 likesI think LDR9 is for her actually LDR10 because she counts Violets as an album too. I think she actually said this in the comments under the Rockefeller post. So I think for Ben it's her ninth studio album and for Lana it's her 10th because she counts Violets as one of them. But I love how no one actually knows how to count her albums because if you count A.K.A , Violets and Paradise as well this would be her 11th album
-
12 likesi think she’s trying to make this her magnum opus album cause it’s her ‘tenth album’. that’s why she’s kinda forcing violet as an album cause she wants to make this her tenth and best album

do you not do this every single day? don't you have something better to do than to constantly bash her? if you're so upset with her, maybe you should focus on somebody else, or just enjoy the music that's already out there and just leave it at that -

11 likesI wonder if Lana just checks up on this thread every once in awhile to see how unhinged we've become and just giggles.

11 likesI’m hopeful too, ben has been teasing this project for a while now and he seems very excited about it, lana said to a fan in december that this one would be better than BB, the one insider who seemingly has listened to it is excited as well, the W Mag issue was stunning and glamorous which imo means lana takes it seriously, I feel like it’s gonna be a big deal just like norman but with the artistic direction of an album like honeymoon I’m not against a couple releases by the end of the year btw, just to have a glimpse of what the whole record could be like

11 likesI had a dream about FJM. Nothing Lana related sorry, just him and I swimming in the ocean But maybe I'm subconsciously manifesting a MV in the icy waves
-
11 likesApparently BOz was talking about Lana when he said the album he just listened to is a masterpiece. also he confirmed the collab with father John misty in LDR new album and says it’s “fantastic” FJM also spoke to a fan and said “the album is closer than we imagine”

uhhh, it's difficult to keep up, you know? Between this label drama and Sky's (clear) perfectionism, this is story is getting really really disrespectful. Not that it hasn't been before (for many reasons...) c'mon it's been a long-story. We're over it. And the only person with power to take some actions it's actually her, because fans tried what they could to call out Capitol's attention. Loved the new photoshoots but we're over it. We've had it before. I am done with these promises and false starts, idc who's mainly fault is it. Imagine releasing a song, shooting a music video and shelve it for god knows what reason. It's the bare minimun she could have done, release the damn music video. I wish things were different, since they're not it's better I move on with the feeling. Sorry for the long text but it is what it is and I'll be watching from the corner. The only way she could make it up to her loyal fanbase, is actually releasing what we've been waiting for... Sad to imagine a singer having a song like Guardian for example and many more promising material and not releasing it... If you do care as you say, take some actions Sky! -

well, according to google, "degrading" can be defined as "causing a loss of self-respect"; humiliating", or, "treat or regard someone with contempt or disrespect" i don't think anybody here is trying to make you feel bad about yourself as a person, or trying to disrespect you, i actually feel like my little "dictionary" comment was not necessary, so i apologize for that, but a lot of people here are getting tired of seeing very negative comments about somebody who they at least have interest in if they're viewing this thread and commenting on it, some people may have different ways of going about that and discussing it, and maybe it could be seen as petty or "rude", but i would agree that it's not something we should be doing, we can acknowledge sky's faults without trying to bring her down as a human-being, or bring up things from her past, such as her addictions, and use them against her, i still feel like people are doing that, at some point, people are going to get fed-up with certain behaviors and will call it out how they see fit and it usually ends up getting heated -

10 likesMe neither. And I don't even find it especially cohesive. 'California,' 'Love Song,' 'How To Disappear,' the title track, even 'Bartender' and 'FIILY'--these represent Lana taking it very easy in terms of her own songwriting. And Jack is probably responsible for 95% of 'Venice Beach,' though of course Lana 'green-lighted' it. 'Do'in Time' was dragged in at the last minute from another project, and the redo of 'NBAR' is a nightmare. I also agree that nothing that Lana has released so far sounds anything like any of Joni Mitchell's jazz work, from 'Court & Spark' through 'Mingus,' or even its later rare appearances on songs like 'Moon At The Window' or Mitchell's own 'standards' cover album. Jazz is a huge genre with endless sub-genres and sub-sub-genres; you could study it and its history for a lifetime and still not become conversant in it.
