Scrapping Candy Necklace on the day the video was nominated for two VMAs after she was just telling everyone to go watch it is kind of hilarious

david kahne's producer tag on AKA is the overarching and heartachingly gorgeous, whimsical, warholian nostalgia slyly encapsulated in each track

I’m around to stay! I’ve been around a few places for Lana chat and I’m really digging the vibes here

Anyway, my first Lana show is in the books. Still kinda shook and speechless. Great performance, made some amazing friends. Sorry the live streaming and back and forth. The download quality isn’t good, so I wanted to have a few higher quality videos to post. Hopefully I was able to share at least a few moments with some of you

She was so beautiful ❤️ my entire life is made. I was 13 when I first found her and was made fun of for listening to “depressing music”. Her music is so beautiful and even more beautiful in person. I am so happy I was able to get tickets and take off work to come see her ❤️ I cried and sung all night. I can’t wait for her to come back to Arkansas.

Still can’t get over the show last night. It’s easy to criticize set lists. No matter what an artist picks for songs, some fans are going to be disappointed. I expected more songs from Ocean Blvd, but am I upset? No. We don’t know what factors were behind the song choices. She had a moment where she reflected that she chose the location for this concert intentionally. Maybe she went with more older material that reflected the emotions she was feeling around that time in her life. Etc.

that is so, so sad, so young, she barely got to experience her life, it's especially sad considering the fact that her online image and infamy was definitely exploitive, i hope she's in a good place

if it's just some sort of sick prank, it's still really unfortunate that she has to be caught up in that instead of just living a normal life like a normal kid, social media can be so evil and some people are just horrible

By this I mean what was your most memorable moment in life listening to Lana? My example: I met an online friend for the first time, we spent a 3 day vacation in Venice together and taking the train home, I listened to VB. The Venice train station has train tracks that go directly by the sea/ through the water, so I was sitting in this vintage looking train compartment all by myself, the sea and sunset moving past me and I was crying, thinking I may never see my friend again and already missing her and listening to VB… If my life was a movie that would definitely be my cinematic ending scene

Not sure if this was already posted but these are the production/instrumental credits according to one record store.

Maybe she was gonna do TJF and then saw the Sirens vinyl and was like "you little fuckers out here leaking the shit I put to the grave, and buying bootleg ones online" and decided against it

Idk something about this seems very fishy.. I’m gonna wait and see if more confirmation comes out or an autopsy or smth cause they were big on trolling people, I wouldn’t be surprised if this is some sick prank. if not, terrible tragedy & may they Rest In Peace!

Its crazy to me that not only is she the greatest singer/songwriter and artist of all time but she is constantly putting out music for her fans How often does an artist this good be SO active?? Everyday she breathes and continues to create we are literally witnessing history, a pivotal moment in time 100 years from now, gays from all over the world will be looking back and WISHING they were us, hi ladies!

Very sad situation happening in Hawai’i. Lahaina Town - population of over 12,000 - is considered basically lost. Kula - population of 7,000 - also greatly affected by raging wildfires. 6 people confirmed dead, and search and rescue efforts underway. Thousands of people evacuating the island. These wildfires are considered to be the result of Hurricane Dora, which mostly missed the US state, though strong winds from the storm agitated dry conditions on the island of Maui. The fire has not been contained. The outcome looks absolutely dire. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2023/08/09/maui-hawaii-wildfire-live-updates/70556894007/

poor little baby.... there's so much to be said for how she gained her infamy, so much to disagree with and so much discourse to be had, but i could never bring myself to hate any child - much less one that was clearly groomed and exploited for the financial gain of adults. this is so heartbreaking. i know there is controversy and mystery surrounding this news but i truly hope that - whatever comes out of any level of investigation - adults take this as a lesson that children need to be protected, looked after, embraced and never judged. if a child is acting strangely, question why; there are a surprising number of adults who believe that only applies to children who are acting extremely withdrawn or quiet, and not those on the other far end of the spectrum that are acting unusually boisterous or obnoxious. i'm sure the majority of us online know that Lil Tay's comically obnoxious nature was all a persona (propelled by the adults in her life for monetary purposes) but that also goes for "ordinary" children in real life too. it's a different scenario completely, but how many confused and stressed out children have we dismissed simply as nasty brats? how many children out there only know how to respond to discomfort by lashing out? how many children out there rely on arrogance and aggression because they believe it will protect them? in nine out of ten cases: an angry child is a hurt child. an overly attention-seeking child is a hurt child. an identity co-opting child is a hurt child. i cannot stress enough just how little children know and understand, how scary this world is for them, how they often can only react instead of cope. sorry, i've gone off on a total tangent there but this story just triggered some thoughts and feelings i have and i reeeeeally hope that it triggers those parental/protective emotions in other grown-ups too bc this poor little girl never even had the chance to be herself or live her own life before she lost it. rest in peace <333

I knew they worked on more stuff CN and the interlude are really good... if this one is as good as those I'm even more hyped to hear more of their work in the future (LDR10 ) And I hope Life Lesson is indeed the Interlude cause I'm obsessed with "honeeeey"

She looked absolutely beautiful there. Gorgeous dress and hair. It reminded me of that dress she was wearing in one of her Europe shows in July. The vocals were amazing too, I loved it! I'm super happy that Hope Is A Dangerous Thing is in the setlist because it's one of my top favorite Lana song and it's also one of her best songs ever, it definitelt deserves to be there, I love the choreo - or even it's better to say - art performance for this song. Definitely stunning. I loved the Tamny Wynette cover too, maybe it was a tease for the American Standards & Classics cover album, or the folk/country cover albums? A girl can definitely dream. I also loved that Ocean Blvd is back in the setlist in this show and it was the closer instead of Video Games. Video Games was brilliant as a closer too but Ocean Blvd is just perfect as closer because it kind of gives movie end credit vibes? Especially with the backup singers, a gospel masterpiece in the live shows. Definitely a highlight. I am kinda sad that my favorite Candy Necklace was cut but I understand if she didn't have much time to do it. I just hope it stays in the setlist. But this show and the Chicago Lollapalooza shows were definitely one of the best shows of this festival tour. Definitely the highlights of her career. I love how much support she receives from her fans in shows like these. I love her so much for this!

I don't know if this has been said before so sorry in advance (I couldn't read through all 25 pages of this thread) but I did some research and this website is hosted by Open Stage, if you go to their main page (openstage.live) they explain that it's a platform for artists to map out where their fans are and also send info and polls to fans. The video at the top of the page is about a Scottish band that wanted to know where their fans wanted them to play so they could book appropriately sized venues... So I really think this has to do with her touring in the future I also don't see the purpose behind the oceanblvd insta account if she's not planning on using it to promote a tour since she's clearly not using it to promote the album itself.

So basically lana has some songs who are basically “phantom” songs where we have literally nothing else but the song. like they are fully produced and stuff but we don’t have demos, instrumentals, acapellas or anything. and we only have a little of info like the album or date but that’s it. examples: Television Heaven, Put The Radio On, Jealous Girl, What’s A Girl To Do, St. Tropez and more. MY FAVOURITE IS TELEVISION HEAVEN
