2 years of A Star Is Born!!! This movie and soundtrack literally own my heart. I can't even imagine how many times I've cried to both, truly truly amazing bodies of work. When it came out I was visiting Chicago so I couldn't see the movie but I LIVED for the soundtrack. What a time. Shallow, ALWAYS REMEMBER US THIS WAY (deserved Shallow's success), Is That Alright? , I'll Never Love Again , Before I Cry, Music to My Eyes , Diggin' My Grave, Look What I Found, Black Eyes and La Vie en Rose <3 Then the bops Heal Me, Why Did You Do That? and Hair Body Face. In other words - a perfect soundtrack.

Right so either she knows exactly what she is doing or she doesn't and doesn't care. Both are really just as bad and I'm sick of it. No other artists I 'like' do anything of this sort, I don't know why I stick around (actually I do know... it's because I still like to discuss things pre-lfl).

this reminds me of another comment i read somewhere on here. someone jabbing at how she acts like some bohemian rockstar who lives and dies for touring and making art, and yet most of her live shows are lazy

i feel this a lot reading her poetry it's all very undercooked and sounds very ~drafty.. which idk i'm not a fan of. some of her lyrics have this issue as well but i mean music is fine it's not solely based on the lyrics there's great songs with lowkey bad lyrics from a lot of artists out there. poetry is less forgiveable. drag her! honestly, i used to feel like that about lana, i used to think a lot of the stuff she says in her lyrics is very self-aware but these past few months made me think that she's actually not self-aware at all and takes herself (and her art) so damn serious and is very incapable of seeing herself as what she is and not try to convince everyone that she's this great artist, this underdog, this loser who just happened to get this careerstart with btd, all of this is very artpop-gaga thinking so high of herself as if she was the living reincarnated jesus slash immanuel kant. i think i used to overinterpret a lot of her over the top moments in her lyrics because i didn't want to think she's actually this delusional but i might .. actually think i'll have to see it for what it is if she continues to behave like this. this just proves my point which i've voiced over her poetry when she just started out: she's not as skilled as she thinks she is. the way she wrote them on a typewriter and like.. generally seemed to care more about the aesthetic of this all always rubbed me the way that we're going to get this pumped up balloon of pretentiousness without the actual substance of a writer and not just as in the content of the poems but also in the skill-full delivery of stories or images.

If only people knew that it’s ok to treat celebrities like they’re human beings: ya fucked up and even tho I love your music I can still say that what you did was truly irresponsible. Nothing political about it, it’s about watching out for your fellow sisters who - according to LDR - she loves and wouldn’t be anywhere without. So why not protect them and yourself?

I can deal with messing up the file quality (as long as it's not less than 90kbps for example if it was 320 to something random like 192 I wouldn't care much) but editing out half of the song in a ''full'' leak? what is the reason?

What the hell... She looked beautiful in the Costco photo. She was beautiful at the poetry book event. She was always beautiful! I'm a straight guy who has been ignorant, several times, in several subjects. Sometimes without even realizing it. But I was able to learn, especially from women who are part of my life, and educate myself. Anyone can. We must not judge anyone's appearance. And when it comes to women's bodies, we men must shut up. Without discussion. (I once told my girlfriend, jokingly, that she was getting chubby. And I didn't realize that it had affected her in any way. I just realized how wrong I was to say that, when she started to diet and work out desperately. And I felt like shit.)

Oh man, this is...something. Lana's obsessed with the idea and title of being a poet, not the work that goes into being one. Like another user mentioned, it's the aesthetic she likes. It's the superficial layer of being a poet and what do you know, her poetry is very shallow thanks to this. I'm not against indulgent poetry but then you need to spend time crafting them to be enjoyable to read. Hers just read like she's bitching while trying to sound pretentious. No skill in word arrangement or harmony. I bet she has no idea what that even means lmao. I've read personal poetry that's made me very emotional and I rarely get moved by shit.
