BlackoutZone shared this huge info post on ATRL: "The amount of misinformation that is being spread lately from clueless users, wish someone else came to clarify, but I guess everyone gets tired at some point... This is not an actual album campaign. In early album stages AG Cook was asked to come up with a visual plan for the era, he called it XCX Manifesto and wrote it all by himself and presented as his art direction for XCX3. It was never 100% finalized although they based some of the visuals on it, cause it was cool. That leaked picture is just a small part of whole thing AG Cook wrote originally. The album was not called XCX either, it was an idea and a placeholder name they used just like XCX World, but XCX World absolutely felt like an actual contender to me. The "draft tracklist from June 2016" is not really an actual tracklist either, the album was still heavily worked on, but Charli's manager asked her, just to have an idea, IF an album was to be released now what would be the tracklist, so she pieced it together to have something as for that day. Also at that time Bounce was solo :ryan2: Things started taking real shape when in late 2016 when Spike Stent, popular mixing engineer got requested and paid to mix Charli's album or more exactly 12 songs. Shortly after 12 got narrowed to 9 for unknown reasons and that's exactly what happened. Spike mixed and mastered the following songs by november 2016: After The Afterparty - which was ready earlier and already released Can You Hear Me? Die 4 Down Like Wow Girls Night Out Good Girls I Wanna Be With You Queen Lizzy Waterfall And this is literally why and how they leaked. Spike got hacked and the songs got spread (along with the stems which somehow still stay unleaked to this day). They would not pay him for mastering the songs if they weren't meant to be released. The mystery remains in 3 remaining tracks and why would they get pulled just shortly after Spike got booked for mixing of 12 songs. Since it's unlikely that Charli would cut the album to length of 9 songs it's more probable that she decided to do some last minute changes or adjustments. One of the 3 songs would for sure be Bounce and HERE is where Kyary probably steps in and the song was possibly not ready for mastering yet, cause maybe Kyary hasn't provided all the vocals yet? Maybe they were simply still working on it, on figuring out the bridge or ad libs or God knows what. That's why the Bounce she performed on Kimmel isn't necessarily final final, it's simply the last version she managed to get ready FOR the performance. The remaining 2 songs are unknown to me, most probably want to accept that it's Taxi and Come to My Party, but that seems unlikely, Taxi was never a ready song during that time and they had some issues with releasing it, I honestly don't remember what was it exactly. I hope we will find out one day. The 3 songs and "issues" with them must have been crucial and time consuming, maybe that's why we got N1A to feed us while we wait :matty: Maybe one of the songs to be in was actually No Angel since at some point she tried to get multiple different features to jump on it, but it didn't work out with any, no idea. Some other things that I saw being mixed up here and there: Paint the Town is a 2018 song by EasyFun HBHG was never meant to be released or even finished The recently leaked Sticky is not a 2020 rework but 2020 rework still exists Real Friend was still being work on last year, but more recently rewritten by Raye and re-recorded with different lyrics Problematic Song is just called Pop It Both 100 by Jack & Coke and Real Love are from 2017 That's on my side, do what you want with that, I wish everything was released and we would have more clarity from the START. Hi guys, I hope everyone is doing well after this rough last couple of weeks... Thought I could brighten some people's day with this compilation album I created using SOPHIE's best unreleased tracks. It includes custom artwork (also by me) and is formatted perfectly for iTunes (i.e. explicit tags, m4a AAC, etc). The songs I chose are also all high quality versions, so no LQ or live rips. 18 tracks. 1h 9m runtime. All HQ rips. Hi-res artwork. Updated metadata/ID3 tags. Long story short: ppl love to say that the fans leaked the album which is false. The album got shelved since all the singles flopped. Period. It would be like a Sky Ferreira situation with One being the first official single for the pop era but flopping, the pop album being shelved (later on leaked piece by piece but before that) Sky recording a new pop rock album Night Time My Time and being released instead. Our "Charli" album. Of course the album leaking didnt help but it wasnt the fans who did that. Obsession was the official single sorry** After reading all the info Eclipse told us I would say Atlantic got scared bc they would spend a lot of money.mp3 with this era (which the stans would love) but they didnt saw profit for her. After all they want a radio hit and not a rainbow artistic era just to be beautiful and alternative. Its a shame bc music should be treated as art first of all and then money wise. Whatever... Charlotte is our pop princess and we will support her always

i don't understand why people hate it so much, maybe because it's just very slow and mellow? that's what i love about it, i know some people have pointed out that the chorus is very repetitive which i understand, but it's not like other songs off of ultraviolence don't have the same repetition (ultraviolence, sad girl, black beauty)

the fact that *whoever had to approve things* ruined not only ONE charli era but TWO really saddens me. a lot. first we got the iconic punk concept of sucker being divided into an album and two cute eps and stuff, and we would've even got all the iconic songs like mow that lawn, light it up, let's make love and others but then nothing happened and we got a normal album. then they destroyed all the iconic concepts and ideas for xcx world. like if what's written on that document is real... well, we really LOST! the app, the visuals, the fun ideas and stories.. like the one of her voice being stolen? iconic, legendary. ugh i'm so sad.

Will get killed for this, but "Paradise" is the only LDR project that has aged for me. I find most of the songs hard not to skip over. Mostly because the production sounds very jarring on some tracks, such as "American" and "Body Electric" (even though I do still like this one) I don't feel like I can relate to "Ride" anymore. Something about the Paradise project shifted for me and I have trouble connecting to it.

I haven't been on this site in a while, but I am so devastated that she's gone. Last Saturday I had to get up early for work and I was like, should I go on my phone for a few minutes or just get up? I went on ATRL, the first thing I see is: "Confirmed: SOPHIE has passed away". My heart dropped. SOPHIE is the last person I'd expect something like this to happen to. I couldn't believe it. I didn't really cry over it, almost did, but this is such a huge loss. PC Music and hyperpop will never be the same without her. I loved IOTC and Ponyboy in 2017. Then I heard the live recordings of Faceshopping and eventually I got the leak the day before release. I was in school, senior year of high school, when I first heard the studio version. Words can't explain how much I loved that track and how it wowed me. I was so excited for OOEPUI to come out and it was released just a week after I graduated high school. 2018 was one of the best years of my life. Loved the album. I hadn't listened to her too much in 2019/20 since she hasn't released, but I was so looking forward to a new album. RIP QUEEN. Which version is the final version of Transnation? There's an 11 minute version on Soundcloud, but the one on my computer is 7 minutes.

YES this song is SO GOOD, all that airy space in the song coupled with those slow rhythmic drums and dreamy guitars- perfection. This song gets way too much hate, it is top tier Lana for me, all atmosphere and languid tension.

I was a big Britney stan for most of my teen years and I thought I knew everything about her but watching this doc really broke me. When they showed the newspapper with the picture of her with the umbrella and it was written "more AMAZING pictures inside" it made me realize how cruel the media really was. The way she struggled with mental health and no one gave a damn and her father saw it as a opportunity to get her money was disgusting. I just wish the best for her and I hope she can be happy and free soon

Charli is mute but goes on a mission to retrieve voice. In the process she grows a new voice that is stronger than the one in the bottle Charli & best friend can transform into panthers at will.
