36 likesI've come to the conclusion that the reason why Dealer hasn't leaked in HQ, it's because nobody has it. They only have the old demo, same as the other songs (the ones Lana submitted way back) In my mind, Dealer is solo (that's why Miles isn't credited) and the other songs were reworked. That's how my fantasy works and I've made peace with it. And even if they weren't reworked, I'll rework them myself

36 likesi just don’t understand what in the hell boz was listening to when he said there’s only piano in arcadia. the horns sound amazing, reminiscent of honeymoon the album in a way (a bit like TB!) and surprisingly it fades so well into the interlude, and that definitely wasn’t what i expected from it - it’s so much better the last verse, the peace signs and middle fingers, what an elegant way to say a massive fuck you to everyone who hurt her. i’m not even sure why the western bound, plus the hate that they gave, by the way thanks for that, on the way i’ll pray for ya brings me to tears. i’m so proud of her. she’s still standing (straight like an angel) while they just fade away

35 likes“Arcadia is an astonishing farewell to an industry that trashed her from the beginning and almost immediately rebuilt itself in her image. There’s no popular artist alive today that doesn’t owe some debt to Del Rey’s artistic vision.” - Spin magazine on Lana Del Rey’s influence https://www.spin.com/2021/09/lana-del-rey-arcadia/

28 likesOn a side note I wonder what it was like for Lana and Barrie to reconnect after all these years. To re-connect with someone that had such an impact on your creative process and world view. Especially when you’ve had the time they had to grow apart and settle into your own musically and as a person.. Anyways, I’m glad it seems like they’re on amicable terms and have both seem to have found happiness in one way or another.

While I do miss guitar being the most prominent instrument on the track, the final version feels more complex and finished. It actually clears the issue I have with some of new Lana songs - Thunder has strong build up, the song is growing with new elements throughout, I love that. A highlight of the album." BOZ talking about Thunder.

27 likesBoz told us that Lana and Barrie had a session earlier this year so they've definitely reworked or written something new together. Drew Erickson is one of the co-writers of If You Lie Down With Me so even if it's an UV outtake it must have been completely reworked with the addition of Erickson. Boz simply said that "well, on second thought this might be an UV outtake that no insider had ever had access to before" but it was just a guess. The fact that this is track 6 while Nectar of the Gods and Cherry Blossom are tracks 12 and 14 and with no Erickson credits makes me think that If You Lie Down With Me is a brand new song. Just a guess. Anyway, at this point I won't be surprised if Cherry Blossom & Nectar of the Gods do have the same instrumentals and/or lyrics with the leaked demos but they've been rerecorded by Lana. I mean, I don't trust the insiders' take on the tracks after Arcadia's release so perhaps they haven't noticed the subtle differences in the vocals. But yeah it's also very strange that Lana didn't mention Miles Kane at all. He's not just serving back vocals on Dealer lol!

27 likes(This isn't a spoiler bc lana literally said herself she screams in the song, EVERYONE knows this) Anyway The more i.listen to dealer the more it seems just a little bit iconic to me this screaming thing she's doin....alot of ppl should be scared. ALOT of ppl should be scared, and I'll name them. Bc there will be countless singers trying to hop on this wave now. It sounds like a song one of the greats would have made back in the day.

25 likesI've been listening to Lana's music since 2012 and i can definitely say she still has kept the same charm and magic (as some other users above said), plus her lyricism has improved A LOT in the past years and the few tracks we currently have off of BB encapsulate that so well I'm so excited for this album and the rest of the tracks

25 likesThe way Barrie worded his post makes me think that they might have had recent studio sessions together to redo the old songs. I don’t think he would’ve said that he worked on BB if he was talking about sessions from 8 years ago, because if it was the case, he wouldn’t have technically worked on BB. Lana choosing to include old unreleased songs he played instruments on doesn’t mean he really worked with her on the new album edit: just to clarify, I know he said « collaborated » and not « worked », but that’s how I understood it, it’s the same for me

21 likeslana and barrie are making my heart melt its so inspiring to see them work together after all these years and do it graciously. i wonder if those pics on her ig that we thought were barrie actually were now that we know that theyve spent some time together. but anyway... i didnt come on here much yesterday because of the insane amount of users on, it was a bit overwhelming. but i read a lot of your posts and its so great that we all get to experience this together. Arcadia is one of my favorite ballads from lana its so beautiful, sassy, and sweet. and the interlude is just insane i cant wait to see what Black Bathing Suit sounds like. im so excited for this album. i was really doubting if i could still get into lanas music with the direction she was going but she 100% drew me back in. the music this era has the charm and magic her old stuff had but its more mature this time around.
