7 likesa reason why im literally obsessed with the album cover for this album is because she's got that far off gaze in her face where she's looking at the camera with a slight tilt to her head almost giving off a bit of an attitude, she looks almost pissed off, extremely tired of the bullshit and even a little smug.. but there's also a lot of sadness there too... she has this exact same look on the ultraviolence album cover too, except she's tilting her head in the opposite direction. i feel weird cus this is a random observation but i finally figured out why i love the BB album cover and its because she looks the same way she does on the UV cover , classic lana

7 likesY'all didn't complain about the same music box and xylophone sound effects on every Cry Baby song... y'all just want an excuse to hate her new stuff. And that isn't even bad, like she has to make the songs sound cohesive somehow. K-12 failed on that imo bc it made every song sound the same, but MM3 does it super well so far, the songs fit together but don't blend in w/ each other.

6 likesWhy do y'all feel the need to bump that thead with the 101st edition of album rankings right now? Everytime I see this thread on the front page, I think there are some news about the Deluxe and then it's just some of you fighting whether EH is her best or worst album ever 💀

4 likesIf there’s something I could ask for more than anything is for there to be an album trailer. I’ve always enjoyed watching them, and they’re so beautifully put together allowing for people to not only get a taste what the album will be like sonically but also visually. Both visuals and snippets of the songs also help drive the album’s theme, and create an imagery of what the era will be like. Not going to lie, I was kind of sad to see that we didn’t get an album trailer for Chemtrails or Blue Banisters, so I’m already assuming we won’t get one next era either; I can only hope!

I wouldn't be surprised if this next release outsells K-12 and After School. It has a lot of unique concepts that should draw in a wider audience, and it seems more experimental with its sound. Her past albums were very exclusive to the Cry Baby aesthetic both visually and sonically, which wasn't many people's cup of tea(and got her a lot of unfair criticism). I think K-12 was a great stepping stone for her growth as a musician and filmmaker, but I can tell she's ready to try something different. Let's hope her label doesn't push her into a corner with budget and approving tracks, like they apparently did with the last album. -

I think ADIAML would've been much better without all those breakup songs like Pandora's Box or I Love You But I Love Me More. They're quite forgettable and do not fit the album theme at all. I understand that she wanted to express her feelings about her ex boyfriend but she could've released an EP with them instead. Also who feels like listening to an album that's about fighting patriarchy and then suddenly crying over an ex? There were so many important feminist / ecology / anti-patriarchy / anticapitalist / gender roles themes to explore and we only got a few songs about it. And really, if she thinks that singing "I'mma free, I'mma free womaaaaaan" in a deluxe will do this record any justice, she's wrong. I hope, however, that this song is not as hollow as it seems. Anyway, I still come back to Ancient Dreams, Venus Fly Trap, Man's World and Highly Emotional People. What great tunes. EH ≥ TFJ > FROOT >> ADIAML >> L+F -

4 likesBlue Banisters is like a fine wine to me. Of course I loved it when it came out, but after this first month or so, it's become an album I see aspects of my own life in. It hits deeper now. And oddly enough, I can't help but wonder if the sharp changes and juxtapositions in sound throughout the album were done on purpose because of the time period(s) the songs were written about. This is probably her most personal record along with Ultraviolence in my opinion. It's just so beautiful. Even the tracks that aren't in my top five or anything are tracks that I adore.

4 likesIt's one of the best songs she ever made and a lot of people aren't ready for that conversation.

3 likesI know it's too early but I hope we get some news soon just for the hype. Maybe she'll tease something in the Interview Magazine (if she's indeed in the winter issue). I mean I don't want anything very specific cause it's probably still a year away but I hope she talks a bit about the direction she's headed to for the next album sonically.

so a few leaks happened since my last post: Yelle collab with Kyary, in the rain og tempo, so clear (hq file), Fallen angel (why hyd scrapped this song? why?), living for you. https://onlyfiles.io/f/a57cee865bd84f59be4c896b09c9d58f its all in here -
3 likesAlmost all albums (in general) have the wrong song order. The less popular songs should be played first and the most popular at the end. That way you have a progression and know, even if you don't like a song, that there could be better ones. Otherwise, you listen to the most popular songs first, and the motivation to finish listening to the album decreases with each successive song.
