12 likesI'm so greedy for new Lana but I'm grateful I stan her and not an artist that puts out records every 3-4 years and then disappears from the earth until the next album cycle. Lana really spoils us I don't think there has been a single year since 2011 when we didn't get at least a new (official) Lana song (maybe 2016? and probably something leaked that year anyway)

The fact this lyric thread was created almost 4 years ago now and we just now got the full song.. I suppose the message is to never give up hope! This must’ve been one of the longest waits we’ve had for a song. I think the longest waits to date have been for Life is Beautiful & Roses, which both leaked about 5 years after gaining knowledge of the songs’ existences x -

8 likesThee Stargirl Interlude There’s always something coming out with her involved there really hasn’t been a single year where we didn’t get fed. I’m pretty sure Fine China and SYTH leaked in 2016 too like whew what a year

8 likesthis reminds me of those gucci guilty photoshoot pics that make lana look like she’s a lana impersonator instead of actually being lana

8 likesI wouldn’t say he’s super “relevant” per se but i feel like he’s def notable in the creative circles Sky and Lana run in! Jack is a member of SALEM, a duo/former trio of two producers who make dark and slow electronic music and were part of the early kind of witch house wave in the late 2000s with crystal castles, purity ring, sidewalks and skeletons etc. salem kind of blew up off of slowing pop and electronic songs down like 500% before tiktok “slowed and reverb” was a thing, pairing it with dark videos of debutante celebrities being papped, foreign horror clips and military drone strikes, they definitely have a sort of evil americana vibe in common to their stuff with lana.. even though a lot of their remixes are just the original song slowed down with some added kick drums and samples they kinda were doing this before anyone else tbh. salem graduated from the art school i went to but then dropped out of and like every straight dude there is a wannabe Jack donogoue boy haha. but their music is actually super good and I’m excited Lana might be dating him cus let’s face it like she might not know it herself but Lana is extremely cool and respected, and she deserves to have her dues paid in this 2020s millennial aged dark creative circles considering she influenced them all

8 likesIf I had to describe what I think this album is going to be using previously-released material, I’d say: 1. Arcadia’s orchestral arrangements meshed with 2. LA Who Am I to Love You’s dissonance and lyricism meets 3. Honeymoon’s mood as a record (contemplative but glamorous)

7 likesI wonder where is she channeling her anger to this time. The possibilities are endless: - Pat (My Momma, WFWF, BBS...) - The media, fame (too many examples) - Alt singers (FMWUTTT, Qftc) - Ex lovers (In My Feelings, Dealer maybe) - In a more existential (?) way (G&M, The greatest) - Pat (again) I find interesting that one of the few details she gave about the album was "I'm angry" cause I didn't expect her to still be so I'm curious to see if she's doubling down on the same topics of BB or if she's giving us another "type" of anger. I just hope Jack doesn't get in the way and we get to see the real unedited rambling that comes out of Lana's mouth when she's angry and not the sugar coated version he'd want to put out to not get associated with any "controversy"

i’ve been saying she should just surprise drop a mixtape kinda like pop 2, with no promo because it won’t really help her at the point anyways -

6 likesso if they really used up everysong they had in terms of "slower songs" for Chemtrails album then no more piano flops / recycling slow muffled piano beats for LDR9, only the BOMBASTICS we still won we still got it honey.
-
6 likesi think they said that in terms of "songs that meant for Chemtrails" only - you know - the softer, more mellow sound of NFR, the "bombastic" side of NFR i believe still do exist.

6 likesit’s actually the woman in the picture on the mirror in this image—we caught her.

6 likesEvery time I see this picture all I can think is that the photoshop makes her looks like a squirrel somehow However, I do think it'd be kind of cool to see the Gucci Guilty aesthetic make a comeback for LDR9

Artistic and scheduling freedom probably. As long as her management is good she won't have to sacrifice good promo but idk about budget (It's not like the label was giving her that much for MVs anyway so she'll be fine self funding) -

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/halsey-claims-label-won-t-175149788.html Right? This label sure is a nightmare for everyone. It's kinda dumb because most of Halsey's target (which is the same as Sky's) are more into IG or even still Twitter than fucking TikTok. -

another one... with Melanie creating an account on tiktok and then teasing The Bakery there (which is a veeery commercial song with generic melody) speaks a lot about this but wonder why they didn't jump on the Playdate hit(besides Melanie's decision, i mean, they could force her? what else do they wantt) neither Pacify Her... they're holding her back cuz of the budget they gave for K-12 for sure -
5 likesAgreed. She was over-ambitious jumping straight into filmmaking without knowing what she was doing or polishing her skills. She couldn't even make a $6M budget work for her first film, and that's just not right. She dreams of being a filmmaker, but at what cost to her career when they take years to produce, require millions of dollars, and put her in debt to her label? She needs to be more realistic.

melanie needs to get out of her delusion where she's a good filmmaker and go back to making bangers like dead to me and gingerbread man (honorable mention to fire drill) -

Seriously hoping she puts the movie format aside for any future albums. We got 9 videos in a YEAR for Cry Baby, and look how successful that was. Everyone says K-12 was just a film-length music video, but several songs got screwed over by not having their own MV with their own aesthetics. Take Recess for example, it's just put into the background while the film goes on. She could have done better, and technically she already did. Just think of what that K-12 budget could have achieved. -
