All the records are different, but I imagine this one to be a blend of Blue Banisters and Honeymoon — her comment about the new music being “crazy” makes me think there’s something more loose and wild in the works though, and I wouldn’t be surprised if there was some more contemporary, electronic, or experimental twist to the songs, given her boyfriend’s music. We shall see!

It makes a lot of sense. September has always been a good month for us (HM, Venice, Mariners, NFR being release just two days before the beginning of the month, Arcadia and preorder for BB…). And she’s probably towards the end of this album if it’s not already done.

I love that we don't know anything about the music other than "Drew added orchestra". Chemtrails had an extensive description months before it came out with the Interview magazine and BB had 3 early singles pretty representative of the album's sound but LDR9 is a blank canvas right now. I expect something similar to the newer BB songs but with a more cinematic feel but at this point we can only speculate so anything could happen. She described the lyrical content and topics but she didn't say anything about the actual sound of it and that's very exciting cause I love surprises

yes to all of these. also Your Girl and A Star For Nick deserve a spot. i think we have to remember and be grateful for how insanely prolific Lana is. starting with Born to Die, she's dropped 8 albums in 10 years, not even counting the unreleased shit thats been leaked, various features and extras, etc. A normal artist makes you wait at least 2 or 3 years between albums. Fiona Apple makes us wait 6 years between an album. Lana barely makes us wait one. I'm still waiting on a new Kate Bush record since 2011. we're well and truly spoiled, but i still hope the album surprise releases this year

ben!! i know it's a real oldie so not likely but w lana you truly never know valley of the dolls also one of my fav demos and would love to hear a finished version. also the real version/finished version of hollywood, one of the great unreleased bops of her career i fear.

so today at work (i work at a coffee shop) and in West Hollywood, & i was wearing my NFR album tshirt, and this regular customer was like “oh i love your tshirt, i just saw her at pavilions (grocery) a few days ago” & i was shook & had to know the details … anyways he told her he loved Norman & she responded “oh thank you , im working on some new music and it’s crazy” … and he told her how her music and gagas helped him come out the closet and she also mentioned how her current man she’s dating is fluid sexually which i thought was super cool. anyways just thought i’d share she described it to him as “crazy” i asked if he pried more but he said he was nervous af! ldr9 crazy era ?

Loved You Then and Now or Crazy for You… As long as we didn’t hear them before, especially if the album is « short » (12 tracks or less). If it’s a longer album, one or two previously leaked songs, if they fit, could be ok.

i don’t think the trend of including old era’s songs on new albums is going to end soon honestly, and with that said, which older songs do you think might possibly end up on LDR9? honestly i really think Fine China will probably end up on an album eventually, and I don’t think a re-recording of Pawn Shop Blues is off the table either

i know she probably never finished it but I want Magnets to be on the album so bad, it’s gorgeous and she has no piano ballads in her discography

I would've loved to hear Lana explore Elvis and Pin Up Galore more and fully flesh them out. Joshy and I would've been really nice to hear finished as well. Also, I know there's an unleaked studio version with full production out there, but Ben has some of the best lyrics she's ever written and I want them released
