guys something important to note! Chemtrails and Blue Banisters were being worked on simultaneously while the former was the first to be finalized. She's probably in a different headspace now since she just has to focus on one body of work instead of finding a way to make two bodies of work become cohesive. Well we can't say for certain since she might be working on her other projects but let's hope not! She might be mixing up collaborators on this album (Jack, Eric, her Dad) to cook up sumn nice so before the piano antis start saying shit let's just wait it out The snippet sounds like she's taking vocal cues from White Dress and anything so close to resembling that song is GUARANTEED to be amazing and if Jack has been teasing bombastic songs + if we get Rob's fantastic piano playing it's safe to say we're in for something. and she's singing about New York so CMON

I caved and listened properly JSEBFJSF I really do have a teaspoon’s worth of patience - she sounds ethereal and I love the 'rocker guy' theme she’s always had ALSO I HEAR GUITAR. Right, right?!? That’s def a guitar twsjgnsjdng. The vibe reminds me of NFR though I can't really put my finger on it, or maybe not NFR but something along that vein with the sound. Maybe Honeymoon? Can you see my mind breaking I'm streaming both and it's not helping Honestly… I’m really really glad she’s still even releasing musique I remember when she was going to quit waaay back after BTD but here we are, a decade+ later and she's already teasing Violet too I've never been into any artist for this long sjezhsje, forever my fave, all the way since my teens. The snippet sounds so gorgeous! Boo to all of y’all complaining about the piano… That short snippet we got of the melody like mmmmm that progression I feel like that ones gonna pull at the heart strings. Lana knows how to do a good gut-wrenching- heart-string-pulling melody and does it amazing everytime We’re getting another New York album be grateful!

Am I the only one getting some eerie/creepy vibes from the snippet? I don't know if it's the 2 piano notes going back and forth or her delivery but there's something unsettling (in an interesting and good way)

If it’s a Neil shoot I hope it’s colourful. Lots of the UV shoot outtakes were so gorgeous- as much as I ADORE the black and white UV cover, we really were robbed

I was reading Slim Aarons and came across this photo he took of The Ledges Mansion in Newport, Rhode Island. How serendipitous! This image reminds me so much of the feel we’re getting from this album so far — from the (1) W Mag shoot, (2) IG photos of Lana & Rob in front of The Beckers Mansion, which also happens to be in Newport, Rhode Island, and (3) the “DNC”mystery motif. And with how classic and stormy the new snippet sounds, I really would love for this vision of old money with a moody twist to form the visuals of the new record.

oh i’m all for that, OTTR’s vocals are audible crack (the way she says 'fumes' ) but her old school classic high/low vocals are deader than Katy Perry’s career i fear
